IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS, I WOULD. I ordered a couch from this company over a year ago and NEVER RECEIVED. ORDERED IN April 2022. There were delays, so back in July of 2022 I was informed by a customer service representative that I would be getting a refund. After 4 weeks of back and forth and constant checking in with the representative, I was then told that the refund would only be store credit. I then told the company to please just send me the couch if that we're going to be the case. I waited and followed up until finally in February 2023, after months of the company being unable to tell me when they'd be able to actually ship my almost $2k worth of furniture, they agreed to give me a full refund, which I have in writing. They alerted me that I would not be able to get a refund through my original payment method and that I should file a chargeback with my credit card company. Now I'm being told that my credit card cannot refund me and that I need to take it up with the vendor. I'm out almost $2k with absolutely no couch to show for it A FULL YEAR LATER! Let me start by saying I would give 0 stars if I could. If there is one thing you take away from this review, do not buy anything from this company. We purchased an item that was in stock on the valyou website, after several months and numerous requests for updates they said internal issues would prevent the order from being fulfilled. If they had just provided our money back at this point it would have been fine, inconvenient and a waste of time, but fine. Instead they told us we needed to contact our bank to dispute the charges and were unable to refund us without going through the bank. A quick search online will bring up hundreds of complaints with the same issue, as well as numerous lawsuits filed against the company. Honestly, the fact that this company is still legally allowed to "sell" anything is shocking and shameful. After filing the dispute they claimed they still haven't heard anything and are refusing to give our money back even though we never received anything. We had the absolute worst experience ordering the dining table!! Our original dining table came in damaged and in the wrong dimension. table base and ceramic top won't match up in terms of dimensions. Support team dispatched a replacement which also came in with the wrong dimension! The craftsmanship on the table is garbage. You can see uneven welding spots, paint chipped off everywhere on the legs! This is a 90lb table and there is a 20% return fee so be careful ordering this table. read more

BUYER BEWARE. This company makes fraudulent sales! I ordered the valminimal sectional in dark gray from this company on 11/9. The sales representative in store assured me that it was in stock in their warehouse and that it would be delivered on 11/20. Said I was gonna get a confirmation email 72 hrs after my purchase. Never got the email. I had to email them on 11/13. And they replied on 11/15 and confirmed the delivery for 11/20. Guess what?? On 11/18, they called me and said that it was not in stock!!!! They basically sold me a couch that was not in stock, when they reassured me that it was! And they refuse to give me a refund. Customer service? HORRIBLE. They lie to your face all the time. Tried speaking to a manager and all they do is make up excuses not to connect you to one. First time I called, they said manager would call me the next day. No return call. Called them back. Said that no manager is available and they won't be back till after the weekend. Called them on Monday, and said that manager called me back already. Nope, that never happened!!! Now, this is 11/23, the customer service rep said, oh it's actually now back in stock. She said she spoke with logistics department and they will be able to deliver it on 11/27. She said i will get confirmation email in a few minutes. I said I'll wait on the line until I get the email. She sent me the email. Today is 11/27. I called them back because I haven't heard anything from the delivery person. Said that delivery was never scheduled!!! I demanded to speak to manager, and waited 10-20 mins to speak to one. I would give Valyou a zero star rating if possible. I ordered a dining table on 10/17 and still have not been able to get in contact with anyone helpful for the past two months. Timeline: 10/17: Placed an order for the table. 11/8: Delivery scheduled for 11/13. 11/13: Informed that the table is damaged. Offered to provide a replacement for this one-of-a-kind table (all monkeypod tables are different with respect to wood grain, color and overall appearance). 11/15: Asked for a refund since the product that I ordered was damaged. Customer service asked me for a picture of the damaged table that was NOT delivered. 11/15: Valyou put in a refund request to a manager and was waiting for manager approval. 11/18: Asked for an update. 11/19: No update. Valyou said they would remind the manager about the request. 11/22: Asked for an updated. No response. 11/25: Asked for an update. Valyou replies "as promised earlier that I will get back to you on this matter" 11/26: No phone call. 11/27: Emailed Valyou letting them know that I did not get a response 11/29: Customer service replies saying they were on leave yesterday and that they would call later in the day. 12/4: Did not receive a phone call. Asked for an update. 12/6: Customer service states that they will follow up on the request. 12/8: No update. Emailed Valyou again to ask for an update. 12/15: Still no update. I am aware that they have a no refund policy (only store credit can be issued), but for a product that has not been delivered a full refund should be in order. I will continue to contact Valyou until this is resolved. As far as I can tell, from my experience, Valyou is a complete scam. They do not deliver the products that were paid for, nor do they provide any customer service. AVOID VALYOU AT ALL COSTS. They are called Valyou for a reason. read more

I ordered my couch and sectional on July 5th. It was communicated that my couch will be delivered on August 12th. I continued to see ads for "valyou" touting a three day delivery on ANY item on their store. I called them out for it as I had been waiting a month. The girl on their social media platform told me she would give me something for my patience if I sent her my order number. I sent her my order number and she decided to no longer give me something for my patience because I had known that my furniture would be delivered on the 12th. My point to her was that I was calling out their false advertisement. She told me she would work on taking the ad down, but it was obvious that she offered me something on a public comment to make the company look good, but didnt follow through in a private chat with me. I have been emailing Valyou at least once a week at this point to confirm that everything was in order and if I could change my delivery date to a sooner day, because they said that they would receive my couch on the 5th. They told me no, and I asked them to keep the original delivery date then. Now comes the DAY BEFORE my delivery and they have cancelled it because they did not get their shipment due to "covid". Why did no one contact me on the 5th when they were suppose to get the couch originally? Why am I only being told the day before? I had made accommodations with my job to be home since they could not change my delivery date. Now I am to wait another ambiguous amount of time for my couch to get here. Very poor communication and updating client on the shipment of their items, which is extremely frustrating when I spent $2500.00 on a couch. Update: 8/18/2020 - Valyou has called me to tell me that my furniture is in and that they can deliver it to me. They asked if I could be available TOMORROW, in which I said that I cant be available unless you give me a specific time that the couch will be delivered. Since I have already missed one day of work due to their inability to communicate, then I will not attempt to make the commitment of being available all day. I told them that they could deliver it this weekend, in they told me that they dont deliver on the weekends.... NO WHERE ON THEIR WEBSITE DOES IT SAY THAT THEY DONT DELIVER ON WEEKENDS. It even says, "Free Delivery. Anywhere, Whenever". This is false advertisement, because they definitely can't deliver it "whenever". So pretty much know, that if you buy any furniture from here, you will have to get it on a weekday. Weekends are not an option. Since it is now impossible to deliver the furniture to me (our schedules will never sync up), then I have requested for a refund over paypal. They are trying to refute it. This company makes my skin crawl, and I highly do not recommend it. Regardless of how great the couch is (I havent even tried it yet), the way they handle their business is abysmal. I ended up buying the feathers sectional (170inch) in beige for our living room and it's not only comfy, but it looks great too. I'm actually sitting on it right now as I write this review haha! At first I was worried about buying a beige couch, but all the covers are removable which makes it easy to toss in the wash. I end up doing this about once a month. This sofa presents well online and the customer service is responsive. But obviously they are trained to try to get rid of complaints rather than fix them and make the customer happy. The sofa I bought is cheaply made and very uncomfortable. The bottom cushions that you sit on are not filled enough, which makes it feel like you are sitting on hard wood and you slide off the couch. The cushions are already showing signs of wear like we've had it for years. The cushions are sinking and are very flimsy. The cushions are flat and cheaply made. The back cushions are way too overfilled which makes it super uncomfortable to lay back and sink into the couch. There is no way this couch has feathers or memory foam. I think I could have found a better made and less costly sofa at ikea. I am very disappointed with this purchase and would love to return it and get my money back. From what was pictured on the website, I was hoping for a plush comfy family sofa, that we could cuddle up in and watch movies. What I got was a cheap sofa that is so uncomfortable, that I would rather be sitting on the floor with a blanket. I hope something can be done about this because I am so unhappy with this purchase as is my family. I own a feather sofa and this one is definitely not feather. There may be feather in the throw pillows but not in any other part of the sofa. So disappointing!!! They will not do a return or exchange. Very shady business policies. We were very impressed by the service of this company even though I've never been to their showroom. Although we are in a shutdown period, I still wanted to see the platform bed set before ordering it and asked for a visit via FaceTime. That wasn't going to work because their stores were closed. Thanks to their quick thinking, I immediately received a FaceTime call from one of the managers who had just purchased the same item herself. I'm so trying to give valyou chance after chance - but the experiences I'm having are making it very difficult. Phone wait times and knowledge of staff on the line have been mediocre and not professional at best. The most recent order I made was not only delivered in the incorrect window of time but I got multiple emails before hand with different delivery dates and times (confusion from the beginning of the delivery process!). Upon delivery, it was the WRONG item. Having to coordinate for a re-delivery was a bit stressful too. I haven't had the best customer service with a few members of the team but this time shout out to Calvin who was very compassionate. He and Mars are the only associates with whom I've interacted who exemplify interpersonal savvy, effective communication/follow up, and good customer service. Please train your team and improve organization/logistics. I'm really trying to support this new business and have already bought 3 items. I purchased the sectional couch from this company on August 23rd and was advised that delivery would occur early to mid September. At this point I still have not received the couch. I called the company several times to get a status on the order and each time I was told that the carrier that they selected was having issues making deliveries because of the influx of new orders and to just wait. I finally followed up with the carrier and was told that they never received the package from Valyou furniture and that Valyou put a hold on the order so even if they received the packages they could not make a delivery. I called Valyou to follow up and continued to get the runaround so I elected to cancel my order as of Nov 3rd. I was advised that they normally do not cancel orders once the carrier has picked up the orders but again Ppease remember that the carrier informed me that they did not receive the packages. I still have not received a refund. I called Valyou furniture to get a status on the refund and they told me that they are waiting for the carrier to confirm that the order is cancelled before processing the refund BUT AGAIN please remember that the carrier is saying that they did not receive the package from Valyou. They are giving me the runaround and I strongly recommend that no one purchases furniture from this company. The delivery dates are inaccurate, they do not communicate when there are changes, and every time you follow up they provide inaccurate/flaky information to pacify. First off the team who delivered to us today were beyond amazing. However I will say I am extremely disappointed with valyou call service and what could be deemed as shady. I was told when I made my purchase Saturday may 1st, that my items would be delivered by Sunday. No one called to confirm, I had to call myself to figure out where my furniture was. Then when I finally do get into contact with someone they tell me that it would either be Sunday or Monday. Sunday and Monday pass by and still no one showed up or even called. Then I call again to find out where my furniture was on Monday. After this call the rep says that I should have a tracking number (which again, no one had sent me one) so he then says he sent one and it was scheduled for the 5th. The annoying part is that I had asked my friends to help me bring the furniture in so they came both days as we tried to figure out what was going on. My boyfriend then calls Tuesday 5/4 and was told they do not even deliver on weekends! When I finally got in contact with a manager she didn't seem to really care. All she did was say she would relay the message to the team. Gee, thanks for the inconvenience. 3 stars because delivery people were awesome, and furniture seems good. My experience with Valyou has been horrible. I ordered a sofa at the top of September and it's Nov 11 and I still have not received the sofa. The delivery date was pushed out again. They are basically holding my merchandise hostage. Thanksgiving is approaching, I've paid for a sofa that I have not receive. Their customer service is not helpful- promised a delivery that hasn't happened. Do yourself a favor- don't order from them. I don't know who they were but today their service sucks.
