Playing with balls and the boys in a Friday morning... #NoDiddy great service even though the guy I went with broke the friggin driver that the golf course allowed us to use but ended up getting destroyed. Not in a good way either :(

My wife hit a 45-foot putt!

We've started coming here about once a week... we're in love! My wife & I are pretty bad golfers, but we're really getting into it this summer. Lots of shanks, slices, & miss-hits. This feels like the perfect spot to work on your game, get better, & crush some Mickey Ultras while spending time in the sun. We play the par 3 course (18). $19 per player during the week Course is straight forward & unique. Some random hazards here & there. Some fast fairways due to the heat & sun beating down on the grass. You're OK to play during the day in the summer. A lot of tree coverage from hole to hole so you won't overheat. Beers are reasonably priced. Glizzies are delicious (lunch area is closed on Wednesdays) Staff is super cool, especially the guy who runs the clubhouse. Very down to earth & laid back - not treating the place like a country club. . . knows exactly what the place is & why people come. This is the perfect city course to work on your game & have a great time! Pick up a glizzy & enjoy this fun 18 hole par 3!

Half of the driving range is shaded. Planes fly over head but I find it relaxing. Sure the engines can be loud but for me it's background noise and not an issue. $8 for a small bucket $10 for a medium bucket $12 for a large bucket No cash! CC or Debit only. Not the prettiest place to play but good spot nonetheless. Kids, Women, Seniors, Men -- great mix of people. Very casual and lowkey! I'm coming back :)

Being a movie geek, I had to take my teenage boys to see where they filmed Licorice Pizza (2021) and see why Paul Thomas Anderson loves this place so much! I totally get it! It reminds me of a place called Rolandia in Dayton, Ohio near where I grew up in the 80's - very chill, relaxed, old school, and only $12 for a large bucket of balls? It will be a regular hangout for us whenever we explore the valley. Food prices seem cheap, this foot golf thing looks interesting, and l loved everything about this place.

Great little course to practice your short irons and short game. Tee boxes have mats, which isn't always great.

This course is terribly kept. The grass is missing in most of the course or it's dried out.

How much is the driving range and to rent clubs?

The course has a walking path that goes all the way around the course out to Woodman Avenue back into Lake Balboa Park and then returns to the golf course. I'm not sure how long the walk is, but it's pretty decent if you want exercise. The walking pup is all been empty most of the time. Not too many people know about it. So it's clean and cluttered and easy to navigate. I like to take my dog there early in the morning before it gets too hot. There is also a nice little café there with pretty good food. And lots and lots of sports screens. So if you're a sports but and you like to play foosball and pinball, you should check this place out. I would be surprised if they have less than 50 sports screens Oh yeah, and you can also play golf

I had already paid for my round through GolfNow, and it didn't include a cart, so I asked about renting one. I was asked if I wanted to share a cart with someone else, but there was no one else to share with, as our group was only three people. Despite that, I was charged $36, essentially paying for two seats instead of just one. The lack of communication and the way the situation was handled felt unprofessional and unnecessary. Hopefully management can improve customer service and be more transparent about cart fees in the future

I arrived just after 1 in the afternoon and the parking lot was pretty full. Ok, Friday I get it. Then once you get to the balls station, there was also a line. Also it was a first time seeing them refill the machine after collecting all the balls. And then you have the range, every single slot was occupied. That was a rare sight to see. It's alway easy coming here and there's alway a few open spaces but this day, completely packed. People left their clubs behind each spot to reserved their place until the individual was finished. It was about a 10 minute wait till the space was available. But throughout the whole time, the place was still busy with people waiting. That was for both the covered spot and non covered. Of course you have to head over to the clubhouse for a nice cold one afterwards. That too was quite busy on the patio. They served food, snacks and alcohol. It ls a nice spot for a quick load up on snacks and drinks for the course. Or a a nice cold drink afterwards. It's a nice neighborhood course and range. Plenty of parking which is a plus.

Only positive was that the carts had ranges to the hole so I didn't have to keep guessing.

Also I was worried about hurting my back and neck when I started, but she taught me the right techniques to stay safe and avoid injuries, such an important part to enjoy golf in long term. The most fun part was going out for on-course lessons, learning the rules, handling real situations, and getting comfortable out there. I've been working with Coach James Jordan -- JJ -- for about six months now. My main reason for…read morereaching out was pretty simple: I wanted to enjoy golf again. My swing had gotten flat and inconsistent, and as I've gotten older, it was becoming less sustainable and was even starting to cause some pain. JJ and I started with a half-day workshop focused on the fundamentals. Instead of trying to force me into a generic swing, he helped me understand how my swing should work for my body and built a baseline from there. I won't lie -- it's been a process. Some of the changes were dramatically different from what I had done for years, and I didn't grasp everything immediately. But I stuck with it, continued working with JJ through online lessons, and put in the practice on my own. Now I'm starting to see the payoff. My swing is becoming much more consistent, my body feels better, my scores are starting to come back down, and most importantly, I'm enjoying the game again. If you want a coach who is real with you and will tell you exactly what you need to work on to improve, JJ is your guy. His approach is biomechanically sound and tailored to the swing you have today -- not some one-size-fits-all model. Trust the process, put in the work, and you'll see results. I can also make this a little more casual and punchy for a Google review if that's where you plan to post it.

He not only has taught me how to make the right adjustments to my swing but is the first golf coach I have worked with that taught me how to properly practice and work on my game. He is extremely engaged with helping new students get up to speed and will jump on the phone with you or text you back to answer any questions you have as well as discuss practice. We have discussed realistic goals for my game and I already see myself making strides towards them.
