I'm in disbelief…read more... I have a pre-drilled 75 Gal aquarium tank and was in a bit of a bind with my API Filstar XP canister filter which had a bad impeller and the water flow was poor. While looking for a replacement part, I found out that this filter was discontinued and replacement parts are scarce to non-existent.  I purchased a Fluval Canister filter but found out that it was not compatible with the existing plumbing.  Facing the propects of having to do a replumb, and not knowing where to start, and what parts I would need, I decided to google search for companies that could perform this service.   I called MK Aquarium and Kevin answered.  He took the time to understand my issue.  What I really appreciated about Kevin is that he decided that I could save money by doing the work myself AND he would be willing to walk me through how to do it.  Candidly, I was shocked and touched by this act of kindness from a business owner. Kevin was on the phone with me, answered all my messages and I was able to get it done.  My tank is up and running with no issues so far. As with any act of kindness, I'm playing it forward.  Anyone that is willing to assist a total stranger is high character in my book and it speaks volumes about the company itself.  If you need aquarium services , I strongly recommend you reach out MK and Kevin because they are going to be honest and fair..Thank you Kevin for the huge assist.

The tank soon got overtaken by algae and angry fish. Finally decided to just have a pro clean it up for us and called up Bay Ace Aquarium and we're very glad that we did! The communication was prompt, clear, and easy. They arrived on time ready to go and respectfully removed shoes upon entry every time they'd come inside of the house. We came in looking for a betta fish for our daughter and asked what tank mates could live with it. He gave us a few options, but once he found out our setup was only a 3-gallon tank, he immediately changed his recommendation and suggested either one of two smaller options or simply letting the betta be the king of its castle. I also asked about getting a nerite snail, and instead of selling me one on the spot, he told me to come back in a few weeks because a new tank wouldn't have enough algae or biofilm for it to eat yet.
