I keep going back ... therefore, it's personally important to write an accurate and "positive" review. And not just because I'm going back in 6 months when they're going to be wiggling those sharp pointy things in my mouth or deciding if I should "get" a root canal. Don't mess with mother nature ... or a dentist. Now, Wendel Family Dental isn't the most high tech dentist I've visited; however, they probably are the most casual ever. The dentist is "Dr. Kris" (Kristine Pham) and my hygienist is Jennifer. They're cool. I wish I were as chill and didn't always freak out in the chair when I almost swallow my own saliva ... thank God for that little suction thing-y. The best part of the Wendel team is that they take care of all the billing and insurance stuff so it's easy-peasy. Signing up for text messages and email reminders was simple, too. Second best? They don't ask me how frequently I floss. They know. I know. No need for me to lie ... since she can simply look up the date of my last appointment to note the last time my teeth were flossed. It's like Regina George was a dentist ... "Stop trying to make flossing happen. It's not going to happen." It's not like I don't try. I brush my teeth like 20 times a day ... whenever THAT day has a 4:00 dental appointment. Why clean my car before going to the car wash, right? Blueberries and coffee for lunch anyone? Luckily, the best deal at Wendel Dental is the "free teeth whitening" program they have with some company. Basically, as long as I go there for my regular cleanings and dental work, I get free teeth whitening services including the making of a mold for the mouthpiece plus free whitening gel. Also, when I'm in the chair, they don't ask important life questions about first-world problems and then jam both hands in my mouth while I try to answer with something that sounds like "um ... mmnmnnn!!Uhh nnmsnmss ...gurgle ...slurp ...mmwwjen..." to which they reply "oh, yeah. Me, too." as if they understood the gibberish. Wendel Dental is my dentist. My husband and I have been coming here for 5+ years. Dr. Wood and the hygienists in my opinion are…read moreamazing. We have had fillings, crowns, wisdom teeth removal and periodontal deep cleaning. However, the insurance verification staff could use a lot of improvement. My husband and I have ALWAYS been under the periodontal maintenance plan which is a deep cleaning every 4 months instead of every 6 months. We were on a dental plan in 2023 that had no waiting period for these deep cleaning at only $125 per visit. But the insurance staff told me this plan was terrible and that I should upgrade it because it was too hard to bill the ala carte delta dental clear plan on their end. So I switched the plan in 2024 per their instructions. Well, now there is a 12 month waiting period and my husband and I are not covered for exact treatment plan that they gave us for deep cleanings every 4 months. We need to pay $200 out of pocket for the treatment plan that we were given. And now we are paying a high monthly dental premium for no reason because what we need isn't even covered. We should have stuck with our original clear delta dental plan. Do your due diligence and call and check your insurance on your own before going here. Or go somewhere else where you aren't given conflicting information about changing delta plants/etc.

The secretary greeted me with a smile and got me checked in. The dental hygienist (sorry didn't catch name as I was nervous) was so nice, she took good care of me. She was gentle, took her time and handled my anxiousness without getting upset or rude. She was confident, thorough and I could tell without a doubt she knew what she was doing. Then the dentist (Andrey Vorobets) came in and he was also kind, and didn't make me feel ashamed, embarrassed, or uncomfortable regarding my lack of dental care. I do brush my teeth daily and take care of my teeth to the best of my ability, but haven't been to the dentist besides emergency services in over 8 years. He went over my X-rays and explained everything clearly. He was not rushing, pushy or trying to make me do anything I didn't feel comfortable with. In fact he let me know I was in charge of my dental care and moving at my own pace. When the dentist finished up the insurance administrator came in to go over my care plan and billing.
