In hindsight I should've looked at the reviews of the dealership before coming in, because they were all accurate. Your sales manager Rick is pushy, disrespectful, condescending, dishonest, and will do anything in his power to make a buck. After the team learning I was approved for outside financing instead of financing through the dealership, I was blown off time and time again. I showed up at the dealership in hopes to get some information and was told that the new sales manager had no idea what Rick was talking about and he was able to get me a lower rate. After spending over an hour there and close to signing paperwork, the finance manager lets me know that someone messed up the application and it had the wrong information. So I was going to have to wait until 11am the next day to know for sure. The next day I left multiple voicemails, texts, and emails, all very respectful and understanding. I just wanted someone to get back to me and give me some info. Finally today I get a call from a finance manager who tries to get me to work with his schedule to come in to sign paperwork with a higher rate and payment mind you, when i'm sure there are other people authorized to sign paperwork with a guest. I was given dishonest rates by rick, a lowball offer for my car, every single interaction with anyone in your dealership left me with a bad feeling, and still today I am getting credit inquiries from you guys which has not been authorized by me at all. Completely misleading advertising practices and the dealership refuses to honor their advertised price. See the pictures below. I called to purchase this vehicle so that I could pick it up on Saturday. When they called me back, they said I didn't qualify for the price. They also said the "mixup" was due to the way third-parties pulled data from their site, but that their site was very clear about who qualified for the advertised price. I posted pics of the listing directly from their site. I was prepared to pay the full $15,751, but was told that my price would be over $18,000! DO NOT BUY A USED CAR HERE. We purchased a 2019 Hyundai here at the end of September. The engine light came on within 7 weeks of purchase. Had to pay $200 to get it towed to another dealership because when we called here they told us they are months out. We had it towed to the Hyundai in Burleson. The list of things that need to be done to this car is ridiculous. The Burleson dealership told us they never would have sold us a car in this condition. They updated the software and then told us that the brakes need to be replaced and the filters were filthy. They also gave us videos as back up. I left a detailed message for the manager on 11.21.22, and I still have not heard back. Thank you for selling me a car with BAD BREAKS THAT MY 16 YEAR OLD SON HAS BEEN DRIVING. Unbelievable. 9/9 Update. Got a call back from Louis Lopez - sales manager for used cars. He apologized for the experience I had and offered to sell at the lower price on the website and even agreed to lower it a little. However, he said the car had not been in the shop and who knows what they are going to find - ' brakes may need to be replaced, four tires may need to replaced, windshield may need replacement'( I am quoting). Mind you this car is advertised as certified pre owned card that has already gone through '173 point inspection' according to the website. So Louis was leaving the door open for more surprises and adding more costs it would seem. Hilarious :) I said no thank you. Do youself a favor, Avoid this dealership as you would avoid the bubonic plague. All the two star reviews about surprises and adding costs are true. TL;DR Bait and switch with a unannounced $1500 dealer prep fee I had a pleasant experience dealing with Hugo at Vandergriff Hyundai. I am an out-of-state buyer, and he was quick to call and keep me updated on the status of the 2017 Mazda MX-5 that I was ready to purchase for $27,491. The car had just arrived on their lot, so they needed time to go through the car and make sure it was prepared for delivery; this was Thursday. On Saturday, Hugo said they would replace the tires and the battery (no mention of cost to me) and have the car ready for me either Tuesday or Wednesday. Fantastic! I filled out the financing application and put a deposit down on the vehicle, and I thought we were all ready to go. Here's where things went south. Monday morning, I asked Hugo to have the finance department call me so I could get my loan rate and determine how much of a down payment I would make on the car. This way, I could get a cashier's check ready for when I traveled to Texas. At this time, Hugo told me the price of the car was now $28,9xx. The dealership added $1500 "dealer prep" fee to the car without my knowledge. Hugo proceeded to tell me the website states that the price listed doesn't include dealer prep. The webpage for this car does not, and I have screenshots to prove it. The language reads: "*Get Todav's Price is available to all customers and can also be obtained by calling or coming into the dealership today. Purchase prices do not include tax. title. licenses and $150 doc fee. Please verify all information. We are not responsible for typographical, technical, or misprint errors. Inventory is subiect to prior sale. Contact us via phone or email for more details." I am okay with the $150 doc fee, as they are standard practice, but not a made-up, bait and switch $1500 fee. They then tried to tell me that if I had come into the dealership, they would have told me about the fee. Hugo also said to me that the dealer prep fee could vary by car. $400 for a sedan and up to $5,000 for a sports car. Here's the thing, Vandergriff Hyundai. I understand the desire to make more money since cars are tight in supply, so price them that way to start and don't waste people's time. I went here back at the end of 2021 to buy a new 2022 Santa Fe and they must have assumed I was a woman who had no idea what I was doing or something because they tried to add on a bunch of ridiculous fees. I asked them about the "mandatory fees" and they said that it was a requirement for the dealership. Then when I tried to leave they held on to my car keys (for my old car) that they took to inspect for a trade in. I had to ask multiple times to get my keys back and it took me over an hour to get them back. I ended up leaving and going to another dealership and bought my car from there. Do not ever take your car here to get serviced, First I got my car serviced here and they gave me a loaner vehicle for the day, this car never left my job and they had the nerve to try to charge me damages to the mirror. Then I had to bring it back today on 11/26/2024 and they gave me a loaner car for the day needless to say I brought the loaner car back at 4:30 to my car not finished not my service person Nathaniel Richards said go to the waiting area and he would come get me when the car was finished. I waited until 6:45 and went to check since the service department closed at 6pm, to my shock no one was there and the door was locked. So, I went back to the sales side to talk to a manager for him to call the service manager and her brings an assistant manager to come bring my car to tell me they got me mixed up because they helped a lady with a pink shirt like mine, and thought it was me. The lady was an older Mexican lady and I am white how could they get me mixed up, why didn't they think to double check to make sure. SO TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!! Recently purchased a used GMC Sierra 1500 SLT from them a few days ago. I got there at 8:30am which is when they open. As soon as I walked in, it appeared the sales team was in the middle of a meeting which wasn't a problem. I took a seat at one of the tables and waited until one of the sales members approached me. Not after waiting more than a minute, one of the salesmen left the meeting, and came over to me asking how he could help. Throughout the entire process it was pretty smooth. Everyone was very helpful with questions I had. After I had signed the term length and payment I was okay with, next comes finance. They didn't take long to get to me which was nice too. At first I thought the negative reviews might be a little unfair. The operator was helpful and the scheduling seemed to be transparent, but they revealed themselves in the end. My Tucson plug in hybrid was having trouble charging. I bring it in, of course it takes three days to even get a diagnosis, which that timing is somehow the best I could find at a Hyundai dealership so just don't buy a Hyundai honestly. To the point, I bring it in, Michael explains everything is covered under warranty so just sign here on this pad and we'll let you know what's going on. Three days later I hear my car is ready for pick up, so I call to see what the issue was. Michael explains it was some improper setting that was causing my charging issues and my car is fine. I was relieved until he said, it'll be the $179 dollar fee you agreed to. Naturally, I said "what fee?", he told me when I signed the iPad I agreed to a $179 fee if there was nothing wrong with the car. Obviously this is an unethical practice they're running and worse, I just tried plugging it in, same charging issue popped right up again. The moral is.. don't buy anything from Vandergriff, and don't buy a Hyundai ever. My game plan is to hold on for another year then sell to get a Toyota Rav 4 prime. This has been the absolute worst experience of my life dealing with this dealership. My car's check engine light came of in March on a 2021 Hyundai Sonata that is still under warranty I couldn't get a appointment until April .I sat at the dealership all day and they then proceeded to tell me that a part needs to be replaced, this part was ordered apparently in April and still has not arrived ( we are now in June ) . Every time I call there are no rentals and everyone I speak too just seems as if it's not there problem. I was told not drive my car , it's been months and they still don't have any rentals , any answers on where the part is and my check engine light is still on and the part is still not here . I am so frustrated with this entire mess . Think twice before before you buy from here. I have leased MANY cars with this company in the past, so I know first hand the games that can be played. This packaged was to included oil changes for five years up to 50,000 miles. Well, according to my odometer I have only met 29,000 miles as of today. Well, to my surprise, I get a call from Mary there telling me that my package is now expired, and that I owe them $70.00 bucks for my oil change because the MPP package plan Vandergriff sold me is denying the claim. Wait...What!!!????? Needless to say, I've been calling trying to reach someone, ANYONE at Vandergriff that can rectify this issue. (Back in November)Then I get a call from a salesperson and they were claiming they wanted to make things right so I come in again start test driving a q70l and they agreed to lower the price to make things right for running my credit wrongly before. So then we run our credit for financing and not even 5 minutes later a finance manger comes up stating he just sold the car claiming he would give me a deal on a genesis. So then we start looking at the genesis and this guy says he will come down $250 on this car but $1200 on another lemon he was trying to sell fast. The service department does not follow their word. My new 2023 Tucson had an issue so I scheduled a service appointment and over the phone they told me they would need to run a diagnostic which would take one day. When I showed up for my 9am appointment they said they'll need my car for a minimum of two days. The next day at noon I called to checkup on my car and I found out they'd not even taken a look at it yet. I was without my car for a whole day and nothing got done. Why have me bring in my car at a specific date/time if it won't be looked at same-day? I understand having a backlog but then plan accordingly... have me come in a day later? Or bare minimum let me know the actual eta in advance! Based on what I was told in-person I was led to believe the diagnostic process would take two days, not that they just wouldn't get around to it for two days. Then they ordered the part needed for my repair but it took over a week to arrive so I re-scheduled an appointment to bring my car back in. I live out of town so I had to drive back in town just for the new appointment. Over the phone they said it would take a day but again once in-person they said 1-2 days. After a whole day of waiting, no updates, I got a call the following day letting me know that they don't have the part needed. They had told me back when I made the appointment (weeks ago) that the part would be set aside with my name on it. They lied. In actuality the order was shorted and they never set one aside for me. Shit happens but the problem is they didn't discover this or notify me until AFTER I'd left my car with them for over 24 hours!! So I was without my car for a day and nothing got done. Now I have to pickup my car and come back AGAIN in a week... If you're a local and don't have a job or a schedule maybe this service department will work for you, but I have to plan ahead and drive in from out of town. Super disappointed and frustrated. My service advisor is kind but this situation is incredibly unprofessional and inconvenient. After this service I will not be returning to this dealership. read more

Bought a Camaro from them at about 50k and they gave me 4 bald tires. I called and asked them to replace them and the manager Luis responded with "they pass inspection" they were indeed my friend when I was buying but do not care when you need help. Offered 500 dollar check for the tires. Really sucks bc I like the car a lot. There's another Camaro there with the same wheel set up. Has 40k miles and those tires are brand new. It's obvious that they swapped my set of wheels for the set on that car. My car has 12k miles. The rep. told me the out the door price was 35,141.05 (title,plates,reg.) for the blue 24 kona n line and that I could finance on my own sent me total on the financing screen. Before this at first He tried to sneak 2k in fees and title, reg. told him, he said that's what it was told him it wasn't so he changed it to $350. When I got there the price was 43k with 10k in options. Started prepping me to tell me no on my own financing by saying on some occasions they allow it. They ask me the name of my credit union it's local then start saying the payment is some times delayed why the don't accept it. I let them know that's not the case I bought a car before and the payment was issued on the day stated,took 2 days. They took the options off but added a thousand and said they couldn't sell it lower. I told them they been having it listed at 32,515 on line, I showed the rep when me asked them to. He said they couldn't sell it any lower and couldn't do my own financing. Mind you it's illegal for a dealer to list a price then sell it higher for no reason.
