Extremely disappointed with the way this dealership handled our truck purchase. We had already spent two days working out the terms with them. Everything was completely finalized this afternoon. We had a clear agreement on the price, the VIN, and every single line item on the invoice -- confirmed both verbally and through text messages. The salesperson specifically asked us to send our insurance information, driver's license, and another form of ID (VA ID), which we provided immediately. They even had our financial information. They acknowledged everything and told us their finance person would call us shortly to finalize the payment and complete the deal. Just a couple of hours later, we got a call informing us that the truck had already been sold to another customer who walked into the dealership. We were actively waiting for their finance department to contact us so we could finish the purchase. There was absolutely no confusion on their part -- they knew we had a firm agreement in place. Instead, they sold the truck out from under us without any warning or courtesy. This experience was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. I usually never leave reviews, but my experience with Vandergriff Chevrolet's service department was very disappointing. It hasn't even been a month since I bought my car, and I've only had it in my possession for about 10 days because it's spent so much time at the dealership. The check engine light has come on multiple times, and the car has had to go back several times for different issues. The most frustrating part was the last visit. The dealership kept my car for about a week and told me they had fully diagnosed it. When I picked it up, the check engine light was still on. After I got home, I decided to look into it myself. All I did was clean the air filter, and the check engine light went away and the issue was solved. After having my car for a week, I expected a much better diagnosis and repair than that. On top of that, when I got my car back, it had a mark on it that wasn't there when I dropped it off. I also had a hard time getting updates and often had to reach out myself to find out what was going on with my vehicle. The one bright spot in this experience was my salesman, Jose. He was always professional, helpful, and did his best to assist me whenever I had questions or concerns. My issue is not with him. He provided great customer service throughout the process. Overall, I'm very disappointed with the service department and expected much better communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving from a Chevrolet dealership. read more

Do not recommend buying a car here. Worked with multiple salespeople, Yenet Colmenero, Ben, Jose, and most recently Sales Manager, Nicholas Craddock. The Sale fell through last week with Jose when his best offer was $800 off a 74K SUV under their "added accessories" charge that they have listed under every car on their lot, and a phone call with his entitled attitude. Nicholas Craddock, sales manager, sent us a finance proposal with their added accessories fee discounted to "cost price". The proposal looked pretty good but we asked to get close to a certain number (ideally 1800 less than they proposed), now they called us back saying the car was wrongfully discounted $15,000. And the price they just sent us is no longer valid and will now be 15k more than what was previously discussed for nearly 2 weeks. 2 different sales managers have sent 2 different finance proposals, not one manager nor salesperson mentioned a "$15,000 added package" until we asked to be under a certain number or to do their best at getting us there. We were ready to sign paperwork, send our down payment, and arrange our car to be picked up and shipped to Houston today. Would not do business here, the eye catching discounts online are not worth the headache of going back and forth on 5-6k in fees for "Dealer added accessories" with salespeople who obviously have no knowledge or care to research what they're selling. 0/5 read more

first, I would like to start off by saying my sales person was amazing four months ago when I bought my truck. We stayed in Contact, and he was pretty honest with me about everything. However, he did let me know that he was resigning and would no longer be with Vandergriff Chevrolet. Within a month of having my brand new 2026 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT, the infotainment system began to glitch out on me and sometimes would not even work. After looking up on Google all of the resets that it talks about and trying them as well, they would only work as a Band-Aid for sometimes a day or two. I took the truck into Vandergriff and spoke with one of their service advisors who told me that they got a hold of GM and the only thing they could do short of replacing, the entire infotainment system was to do a reset, so they did that. This was supposed to fix the situation with my truck. It did not!!!! I called back and was only able to schedule a service appointment, which did nothing. I called back only to find out their service department was not open yet and that they would have to send an urgent message to my advisor, who is usually pretty responsive. However, my radio infotainment system has glitched out at least 34 times in the last week. At this point, I'm considering getting rid of my truck if they cannot get it completely fixed. I probably will never buy another Chevy because of this. It really makes me sad because I like the truck outside of that. I have videos of the infotainment system not working and at this point I'm beginning to feel like it's a lemon. If they don't fix it going to figure out a way to buy it back or I will seek a lawyer. read more

The level of disrespect and disregard for our time during this experience was unacceptable. We visited the dealership with not one, but two verifiable credit union checks -- both of which were ultimately dismissed simply because we chose not to finance through GM(for double the interest rate offered by our credit union). Being told that a $75,000 check from my credit union would be refused and then being given inconsistent and misleading information is extremely frustrating and disappointing. Usually it to takes HOURS to finish up all the paperwork but Mo got me through it all in half the time. He took time to make sure my new truck was cleaned and detailed to make sure I'd love the way it looked inside and out. I will not be returning to buy a vehicle here, ever. In all my years of buying vehicles, I've never come across this situation before. My husband and I visited on Black Friday, thinking it was one of the best days of the year to purchase a vehicle. We started off by calling the dealership and was interested in a 2021 GMC Sierra. We spoke to Travis and told him we were coming in to see the vehicle all the way from Plano which is a 50 min drive away. I first had to drop off my kids in Princeton which was over an hour drive to there but that's beside the point. We asked Travis if the price was correct on the listing and was told it was. This was a GM Certified 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT listed at $41,500 on Friday, 11/24/23. The new listing shown on the website now is listed at $43,287, today on Sunday, 11/26/23. I find it ironic that they changed it after our visit there. They've must known it was wrong to pull this gag. We arrived, everything was as expected and we were ready to make a deal. When we got the numbers from Alicia, who we were handed off to, the sales price of the truck increased to $46,995. Over $5,000 difference than what was listed on the website. When we asked about the difference, we were told that the price was not accurate on the listing as it didn't account for the GM certification even though the listing already said GM certified. Why would the listing say it's GM certified but the price not be reflected for it?! This was beyond frustrating and completely felt like a bait and switch. We were baited in on that price and came in after over an hour drive just to be told that. To top it off, we were also lowballed on our trade in vehicle. At first, we were given a $52,000 figure. After the 2nd time Alicia talked to her boss, the price had only came down $1500 to $50,074.89. The sales price of the truck still reflected more than the original listing. After expressing our complete and utter frustration even more so to Alicia, we met and spoke with I believe the used car director. He said there is actually a small disclaimer on the bottom of the website which gives you the right to change the price. He faulted GM for the website error saying there used to be a small "I" icon next to the price and that they had changed it to a fine print on the bottom of the listing. In the end, he said we were still getting a "good" price for it being GM certified. We had understood the value of the truck and that was the reason we drove over an hour to come see it. I explained to him what price we were looking for, which was to be out the door at $45,000 even. The numbers were too far off for us and them, at the time. And after this stunt this dealership pulled, we walked away. What was even more shocking and disturbing was the next morning when I received a call back from Alicia. She expressed that after realizing and explaining once again the far drive we came in from the day before to the director, he was willing to bring it down to $46,000 out the door. This was over $4000 more off than the day before. This completely felt like they were just trying to find a sucker willing to pay for whatever price to help them get a higher return on investment. We drove another half hour the same day from this dealership to Burleson Honda, had a completely different experience and purchased a GMC Sierra with them that night. They were honest and treated us very well to the tune where we will be returning for our future vehicles. We are completely in utter disgust that this is still happening in today's transparent society and we were under the impression that this was illegal to bait and switch the prices. Did a trade in with my Dually for another, immediately regretted my decision when I finished filling out paper work and was driving home my check engine light came on they wouldn't let me take it back to get looked at because they said it was "closing hours" about 7 phone calls later the next day I finally got ahold of the manger they had it in the shop the next day for 1 MONTH! A month and a hafe later it's having same problems check engine light on and leaking tons of oil, made an appointment I got there they said they couldn't do anything about it recommend shops in my area I took it to a dealership in my area and sure enough TONES of problems check light on, cracked gaskets, power steering going out, brake pads metal to metal, blown fuses, battery's needing replaced, all fluids needing replaced mind you I've only been driving this truck for 2 months hafe of which time was in the shop getting fixed, and even better couldn't provide me a rental nor was able to assist with speeding up the process to get my truck fixed, definitely would never recommend this dealership and would have someone check out your vehicle from here if you do decide to buy from here. Bought 2 new vehicles there and both have had issues. The trail blazer only had 4,000 miles and already had to go back in for a faulty purge pump. My suburban has had AC go out, electrical problems, etc. then after my 60,000 mile full maintenance check I get my car back and all the shocks need to be replaced. I bought a truck here 3 years ago and I will never go back. It was "GM certified" but the tires were all worn to the point of not passing inspection. I only noticed this after I had picked up the vehicle, I called in about it and they told me to come in and they'd take care of it. I came in, they asked me what the problem was, I explained that all 4 tires were worn and there was no way they actually "GM Certified" it with the tires they had on it. They then told me they were going to have to ask me to leave for "getting loud with them" which I was not. I laughed, told them I'll never buy a vehicle there again, and left. They now call me every 3 or 4 months asking me to come trade it in to them. Every time I inform them I will never do business there again. Terrible experience, whoever runs this business is a fool. They could have had a lifelong customer if they had made it right, instead they have a negative review on top of countless others.
