Some of the worst customer service I have experienced and it was just over the phone. I couldn't imagine what it would be like in person. I would not go here.

Took it back promptly and they claimed it was a "faulty crush washer on the drain plug". If I had to guess, it was just installed improperly and they blamed it on a defective washer... Fast forward a to today where I am driving a couple hundred miles later and the skid plate under the engine is scraping on the ground and is barely hanging on by a single bolt. I am guessing they improperly installed the skid plate after the oil change as well. They were nice enough to send some kids over to clean up the oil spill in my driveway, but overall I would strongly recommend taking your car anywhere else but here.

This auto repair shop engages in unethical business practices and obviously the technicians lack…read morethe adequate knowledge and training to service vehicles in an appropriate manner. My son brought his car to the Uptown location after doing extensive research to diagnose the issue with his vehicle. He provided the information to the service manager and was told by the service manager that they had to perform a diagnostic for $89. After performing the diagnostic, he was told that there was something else that could be causing the issue but the they weren't sure if it would fix the problem. He was then charged ANOTHER $280 for diagnostics. Over $600 worth of repair work was performed, the problem was not fixed, and he was then given an estimate to do the procedure that my son told them was the problem in the FIRST PLACE!! Then he was told that the repairs he INITIALLY asked them to fix would cost almost another $6,000!!! If the issue had been correctly diagnosed the FIRST TIME, he could have declined the service and looked into other alternatives. When I asked if they would waive all the diagnostic fees at least, they were only willing to waive $200. I only asked for an additional 10% discount to make things right, and was denied. So not only did we pay for repairs that didn't fix the car, but the manager did not think they did anything wrong. This is totally unacceptable. I would not trust this business to complete ANY car repairs. Potential customers would be better off paying extra to go to a reputable dealer.

As I approached Lyndale Avenue, the owner waved me in. I couldn't believe he was waving at ME since I'd never been to the shop before. I stopped, turned off the engine and yelled out the window...they smiled and, again, motioned for me to drive straight into the garage. Within minutes they'd discovered the missing catalytic converter. 20 minutes later they'd assessed the condition of the rest of the car. We gave the go-ahead for repair at about 1:30 PM. By 7:30 PM the car was fixed and the door unlocked so I could pay the bill and drive home even though they were officially closed. THANK you for the friendly, thorough and magically fast service!

The repair was completed, and I left assuming everything was taken care of. The next day my tire pressure light came on. I figured it probably just needed to be reset after the service. By Monday morning, the tire was completely flat. I called the store expecting them to take responsibility and help resolve the issue, especially since the tire was under warranty and they had just serviced it. Instead, I was told I would need to tow the vehicle back in. I explained that I didn't think I should have to pay for a tow when the problem appeared to be related to the work they had just done. Rather than working toward a solution, the manager, Jonathan, became combative and argumentative. The tone was defensive and dismissive, not helpful. When I asked for the name of his manager or someone I could escalate the issue to, he refused to provide it and acted like there was no one above him. I ended up having to call the main customer service line myself to try to get this resolved. I did not create this issue. The tire was covered under warranty, I brought it in for repair, and shortly after the service the tire was completely flat. A reasonable response would have been an apology, arranging a tow, and correcting the problem. Instead, I was met with resistance and poor customer service. Really frustrating experience, and not what you want when dealing with something that directly affects vehicle safety.

Day of service, my daughter called to report her older Buick was struggling to accelerate and the service light was blinking during her 6:45 am commute from Home near the U to Richfield. We agreed she'd attempt to make it to Autopia, a shop she's used and she and her sister trust. She called first, but no answer. Secretly, I thought "this is going to be a nightmare". Of course, I remained skeptical. We stuck with the plan to meet at Autopia. Could my daughters" "Stan" and my daughters" go to auto service shop for years, really be that responsive. Major snow storm, located near Uptown/Kenwood, roads still need to be plowed. Even if Autopia had a rack open, would the price be close to reasonably priced in such an emergency situation? Upon arrival, my daughter shared Stan called her back while she was driving. She hadn't left a message but Stan saw the missed call. . When I met Stan, he not only addressed my daughter as his customer, but connected us with daughter #2, his original customer from our family. I thought that level of service was dead. Later that morning, Stan called to report the car needed the mouse nest removed from engine area, gnawed wires replaced and a major tune up (the tune up was expected as it's been 90K miles). Of course I'd rather not part with $000 of dollars during the holiday season. Yet the price was within expectations (and in line with on-line repair estimators). As Stan predicted, the repair was completed on time. The car is running fine. Stress minimized. I now understand why my daughters insist on going to Stan anytime their vehicles need a repair. This Dad is grateful there are human beings like Stan out there who are genuinely interested in their customers and provide solid car repair services, at market rates. I have had many problems resolved through the green garage including a brake pad replacement, oil changes, and fluid issues. The staff are all very friendly and knowledge. The waiting area is small but comfortable if you are going to wait for a few hours. Highly recommend the Green Garage!
