Avoid this place like the plague. Covid sanitation standards are not being followed as our table wasn't even wiped off after the prior guest left. Super small, mom and pop establishment that has not been kept up and was just in general dirty. Food was also subpar..... and lacking flavor. The final straw for me was when I observed the woman behind the counter blow her nose and then continue operating without even taking a break to wash her little dirty hands. Thankfully I didn't catch food poisoning as I can't imagine if the front of the house is run this poorly that the back of the house could be much different. I may just contact the local health department to make a visit..... pick a different place to eat as this is not recommended.......... read more

If I could give this restaurant more stars than five I definitely would. It's in a different area of town but the inside of the restaurant is actually quite nice but very small. We were told that it gets busy during the lunch hour but when we left at 11 it still was not that busy so mornings are a good time to go. They do offer take out as well! The woman working was so, so sweet and really attentive. She pulled a high chair over for us right away and took our drink order as we sat. They have plenty of coffee options and also have the flavored creamers if you prefer something less fancy. The food was AMAZING. We had the Benedict with Canadian bacon and hash browns. There was enough sauce which is my favorite, the Canadian bacon was thick and the hash browns were thinner and delicious. We did the special which was French toast, banana, blue berries, sausage and bacon. Also so good. We split so we had a sweet and savory. And ate ALL of it. They give you large portions so you could split with someone. Close to the airport for anyone needing some food before you go but I would go regardless of the airport or not. I searched on Yelp for a good breakfast spot.... Vanta Cafe was first on the list. Wasn't too far from our hotel, about a 3 minute drive. Pulled up to a cute little spot. Got seated right away. I ordered for my keiki's & I. Banana short stack for my boy, rice eggs & bacon for my girl, denver omelet for me. The banana pancakes were ono!! The denver omelet was amazing! I love vegetables cut kinda big in my omelets & I received just that! It was sooo good! Besides the food being amazing...... my favorite part was the owners! Sooo cute & friendly! Billy gave my son a stuffed paw patrol & my daughter a flower hair clip! They talked a little with us & I must say, one of the best services I received in a restaurant! Found this place upon landing at OGG at the start of a quick day trip to Maui. Was highly rated so we decided to check it out. Thank goodness for the ratings because it is very unassuming on the outside and we probably would have passed it by simply based on its outward appearance. That would've been a monumental mistake! The four of us (wife, two kids, and I) each ordered something different but across the board the food was excellent! And the portion sizes - Holy Cow! You will NOT leave here hungry! Aside from the food, the atmosphere was very warm and welcoming, too: we wound up having several impromptu conversations with fellow customers as well as the "mom and pop" proprietors. If you decide to go there, make sure you have at least all the time in the world. Clearly understaffed place with apparently one cook with an output rate of 1 dish every 15 minutes. At one point all 12 customers were sitting at the tables with no food served. I spent there one hour and food was not ready... we left without eating, we would have missed our flight back home. My grandma, who has Alzheimer's, can probably do a better job at remembering orders and cooking the dishes faster. read more

I came here with my husband for our first breakfast/brunch on Maui. It recently opened, and had great reviews! Prices are pretty good, and they offer the cheapest eggs benedict that I've ever seen! We also ordered the kimchee fried rice. I was pretty bummed that they didn't offer hash browns on the day we came. Also, the portions won't make you full, and keep in mind, I am a 5'2" petite person. I think their typical omelette dishes have bigger portions, so those may fill you up. The owner is super sweet. He will come chat with you, and give tourist advice! Very nice guy. And also, the water they offer you, COMES OUT OF AN AQUAFINA BOTTLE! I mean, every other restaurant gives you tap water, but he doesn't! read more

My family and I were planning on getting together with our friends to meet at Seascape in Maalaea. The parking lot at the Maui Ocean Center was full, so we brainstormed a bit and I asked my friend, "Hey, what about that place you mentioned a few days ago?" And, that was how we decided to eat at Vanta Cafe, which was easily the best decision I'd made that week. It was the first time for all of us. There were six of us in the group (3 kids). The owners pushed two tables together to accommodate us. They (the owners) were very friendly and personable, joking with us like we were old friends. It was a really nice atmosphere to be in. The cafe is on the smaller side (if I had to guess, I'd say it could probably accommodate about 20 people but it'd be a tight fit), but that adds to its charm. I had the kim chee fried rice with egg and asked for my egg to be scrambled. It was perfect--flavorful with the right amount of spiciness. I tried some of my husband's pancakes, which were light and fluffy. It is nice to know their pancakes are yummy, especially as my family and I have made the decision to boycott IHOP after the way we were treated in October 2016. Before leaving I also ordered a chai latte, which had a pleasant taste but was on the heavier side. (Not a complaint! I usually have my chai lattes made with water or soy milk, so the difference was obvious.) My kids loved it there, so we will definitely be back again in the future! read more

Everything my family ordered was delicious and the server is a wonderful woman. The Best advice I can give when dining at Vanta is BE PATIENT this little cafe has great food and tasty coffee. But there is only 1 cook, limited seating and limited parking. Food took a while to come out since there is only one cook. If you are dining with kids I would put their orders in right away so they can eat while the adults wait for their orders. Dress comfortably because it's kinda warm inside the cafe. If you have the time my family really enjoyed the food. Vanta is not the place to go if you are limited on time. read more

Such a great little place. Quick easy service with delicious hot food. I believe the man serving us was the owner and he does a fantastic job! Their mango smoothie is delicious $4 and the coffee was pretty good too $3. I ordered pancakes with sausage bacon and eggs $10 and it was cooked to perfection. There isn't much table room if it gets busy but based on how quick they get the food out, there should be some quick turn over for tables. After I paid he even topped up my coffee! Vanta came up on my Yelp app as hot and new so I figure I give it a try. Its a small place with seating for about 14 people. They have a pretty awesome breakfast and lunch menu at amazingly cheap prices. I ordered the eggs Benedict for $8.95 and it was delicious! I love that the English muffin (sourdough) was grilled with butter before topped with a thick slice of Canadian bacon and three poached eggs. The hollandaise sauce was legit at Vanta! I wanted to lick my plate lol. My boyfriend got the pancake special for $9.95 which consisted of banana pancakes, bacon, sausage, and 3 eggs. The pancake batter was banana flavored and topped with fresh bananas. The portion was so huge that my boyfriend could barely finish. I did sneak a bite of his pancakes and the texture and flavor were heavenly. I also got a large white mocha which was so yummy I ordered one for the road. The people who work there are so sweet. There were 2 older Japanese men and a younger woman working today. I heard another customer use the name Sam for one of the gentleman. Sam was amazing! He brought us fresh orange slices while we waited for our meals and made sure to check on us often as we ate. He was totally a sweetheart! The other gentleman from the back also came to see how we were enjoying our breakfast. All the staff made us feel at home, as if we were just having breakfast at a relatives house. Delicious and cute little spot to grab some breakfast. First time here and immediately loved everything about this small cafe. The man that greeted us was very polite and such a funny and sweet guy. They have about 14 seats in the cafe and at the time it was full. He told us it would be about a 5 minute wait and that it was. Poor thing he was having a rush of phone orders and people coming in to order take out and although he was very very busy he made sure to stay attentive to all the people dining in. The food was very delicious and the portions were hefty for the price. I got their blueberry pancake special. It came with two blueberry pancakes, a sausage patty, 2 slices of bacon and 3 eggs for $10.95. It was a lot of food and so so good. Best pancakes ever! OK, well I have to say the food was great!! It got a little cold sooner than I expected. The French toast was well prepared although one peice was undercooked in the middle. The bacon was absolutely AWESOME!! Eggs were well prepared. All in all the only complaint would be the size of the location. But that is also what makes it quaint. I only wish that it would be on a more traveled Avenue as this person deserves to be more known and more seen. Yao all need to come down here and eat awhile. read more

I was surprised when we got a THIRD egg with our benedict's without having to ask, as there was more than enough already! The hollandaise sauce was very creamy, the eggs were perfect, the canadian bacon were thick but delicious slices, and the hash browns were so buttery and flaky! It was not too spicy but very flavourful. My wife had the eggs Benedict. She said it tasted so good as well! Her plate was huge! 3 eggs on Canadian bacon and bread with a very large amount of hashbrown for only $8.95. The value you get for your money here is unbeatable. Aside from the food, the owner even saw me and my wife looking at pictures of our trip to Mount Haleakala that morning and he recommended the best time to go back and see a sun set there.
