This is a pop up buffet at t that he Kea Lani resort. Down 1 level from the lobby, next to Ko (under renovations). The server, Carine, was great. She was very attentive and super sweet. This buffet has everything you would expect from a local resort. Carving station, hot food stations, poke bar, desserts, fresh fruit, raw fish and a kids section. We tried to eat one of everything lol. I think my favorite was the lechon with the pickled onion and tomatoes and the ube tart and the choc chantilly cake and the brownies. ( I obviously had a cravings for sweets tonight. ) Hubbie's favorite was the hamachi crudo. Open nightly from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. $89 for adult $45 for kids 6 to 12 years of age. Kama'aina discount is 25% off. This includes alcohol (woo hoo!!). ***18% GRATUITY IS AUTOMATICALLY ADDED***

We visited Kea Lani for their breakfast buffet, and it was a fantastic experience! Our group of 12 was seated right away on a Monday morning with no wait, which was such a pleasant surprise. The service was attentive, and the food was really good. I especially enjoyed the fresh omelette and loco moco station--both were delicious and made to order, which added a nice touch. With a great variety of options and a beautiful setting, this breakfast buffet is a wonderful way to start the day.

The breakfast buffet was awful. Eggs benedict was bland, the ahi tasted like old fish, the fruit was not sweet, chia pudding had no taste and was like eating chewy glue. Strawberries and kiwi were mushy. Finally, the juice was from concentrate and the coffee was burnt. I cannot take the risk of eating this food and getting sick, especially not at the Fairmont. I spent $60 to leave hungry

My family is on vacation in Maui. We are staying in Wailea and found the Kea Lani Restaurant for brunch. The food is good and the price is what you'd expect from the Fairmont. The omelettes were probably the best food item which are made to order. What especially stands out however is the service. As we approached the hostess stand my daughter (who is just under 2 years old ) saw a stuffed animal in a glass case. She wanted the stuff animal and threw an absolute fit that she couldn't have it. As we sat down she continued to cry and scream. I took her out of the restaurant but she continued her tantrum. This went on for 5 or so minutes. Then the hostess did something so unexpected and generous. She bought the animal and brought it my wife. My daughter was so happy from then on that we could actually sit down and enjoy the rest of the morning. I just wanted to thank Rachel the hostess for the kind gesture. It really did help. I also want to mention our waiter. He was very attentive and kept coming around making sure we had anything we needed. He kept filling our juice glasses with their daily juice which was delicious. I want to thank the staff for making our morning more enjoyable.

    Avocado toast. Yum!

While the restaurant offers an extensive buffet, I really enjoyed ordering off the menu. I absolutely loved the wailea avocado toast. The pickled onions on that was delish! I totally could have had another, but I opted to split the sweetbread French toast with a friend. The French toast was already yummy enough to eat on its own, but I loved that it was served with butter and WARM bottles of maple syrup! Fancy! I'd also recommend one of their fresh juices. I go the mana which means strength in Hawaiian. It's made of beet, tomato, carrot, cucumber, apple, celery, and lemon.

My favorite part of the day is to start with breakfast at Kea Lani. Whether sitting inside or outside the views are inspiring. The menu offers a unique variety and the buffet is exceptional with more uncommon choices than most resorts I've stayed at across the United States. Pricey but worth it in the case. Bon appétit

A fantastic breakfast buffet that did a great job observing Covid regulations when I visited in November 2021. There is a fantastic selection of items at the buffet, and my personal favorite was the daily fresh poke. We had a rude female server on our last day, but service was great other than that.

Fried chicken and cheddar bacon waffles - if you like chicken and waffles, you won't be disappointed

The breakfast restaurant at the Fairmont where thank goodness kids 5 and under eat at the buffet for free, the service is outstanding, the birds are aggressive, and the food is a mixed bag. They have Christmas colored laser lights, some static, some moving, in an attempt to shoo away the birds. This is not a unique problem to the Fairmont - we also saw many birds attacking unattended food at the Westin - but they do seem to be particularly aggressive here, even when there are still diners at the table. My ratings tend to be heavily weighed towards the food, and our experience here was mixed. The buffet seemed to have a nice variety, and our daughter was able to find something everyday that she could eat (mostly bacon). The first day she also got an eggs Benedict that looked pretty good and a blueberry pancake; the second day she went for a poi English muffin and toast. They had an omelet station and a make-your-own waffle iron, but it wasn't exciting enough to make me want to pay for the buffet for myself. My husband and I shared our breakfast. The first day we ordered the Portuguese sweet bread French toast with passion fruit syrup. It was meh. Granted, I have high standards for French toast, but I wouldn't get it again. Couldn't really taste the passion fruit in the syrup either. The second day we ordered the fried chicken with bacon cheddar waffles, and it was outstanding. And believe me, thanks to my husband and the fried chicken and waffles craze that has taken over LA, I have many points of comparison. The chicken was crispy on the outside and tender and moist on the inside, and the waffle was nice and crisp and well flavored. We also ordered a side of bacon. The first time it arrived, it looked like it had been cooked to death - not burned, but brown all the way through and dessicated. The bacon my daughter got from the buffet looked much better. We pointed it out to our server, and they brought out a new plate and comped the bacon - that's pretty impressive service, in my book. The hostess also remembered our name on the second day, and when they ask if you have a table preference, they really try to accommodate. On the second day, my husband asked for a table outside and I pointed out that the bird problem was even worse, so he revised his request to something on the border, and they literally gave us a table that was just inside. Although they always looked like they were doing brisk business, we never had to wait more than a couple minutes for a table and there was never a line at the buffet.

We came here for the breakfast buffet several times while staying at the Fairmont. It's quite pricey, but the variety and quality of food was good. They have surprisingly good pastries, salmon, chicken katsu, salad bar, omelette bar, eggs benedict, scrambled eggs, bacon, waffles (the coconut syrup is good), a large assortment of bread/bagels/etc., and more. Like other reviews mentioned, birds do attack tables with food on them very quickly, so don't leave any food lying around unattended!

Service 5 Stars Buffet Food Quality 5 Stars The first day i ordered chilaquiles and they turned out to be pretty good better than expected. Yes it was $28 however if you are looking at eating at any resort like this you will know that this kind of pricing is standard. If you are a local Hawaiian you know where to go to find something to get a bang for your buck. This review is intended for people looking for places to eat in the immediate area, which is where we learned taking the buffet route was actually not a bad way to go ! Their eggs Benedict are great freshly made omelettes by the chef are good too. Great selection of breads and fruits etc. what I liked most besides the Benedict was that everything appeared to be very clean and organize and cost the same as ordering specific breakfast item on the menu.

The girl then looked up from the register with an annoyed look on her face and said, verbatim, " does it look like I'm the head baker? I only work the register.
