They delivered different carts and they also broke down. I told our point of contact. The immediate response was to blame our use, saying we put stuff on that was too heavy so we damaged the battery. In their own words, they also stated they have not charged us for battery replacement. We have rented carts for 25+ years from golf cart vendors. Depending on location, we source locally.

The cart we were given was an electric cart which was comfortable and easily moved around the streets of Santa Catalina Island. We saw so many wonderful views and interesting homes on the route. Island Rentals only takes paper money and a deposit is taken upfront. Try not to rush through the route. Enjoy the scenery and the vistas. Take in the sights and sounds of this beautiful city. If you go past the required time, don't worry. A prorated amount will just be deducted from the deposit and you may get cash back. Definitely a return visit call next time we are back in Santa Catalina Island!!!

I was given my $60 back. Next time I'll use my Mapquest and stay for the full two hours. Side note: Golf carts are a bit noisy, a little uncomfortable seating and you have to press the gas pretty hard. 10/10, highly recommend, but for me and my issues.......
