Unfortunately it was not as good as they made it sound, there was no flavoring and that includes the beans which they said were amazing, I've had better, way better out there. I really wanted to like this place I know it's super good on tamales however I've ordered food from here twice both times food was cold and now ordered a soft tostada asked and made sure there was no meat in it and still ended up with pieces of meat. I'm vegetarian and asked for no meat so I'm surprised the lady answering the phone said it had no meat confidently. We came here because of instagram. No seats, nothing fancy, but you see everything that is happening. Someone said the ratio of meat and beans to tortilla was not great, I disagree. We drove down to a local park about a mile away from Vargas sat at some nice benches, and we enjoyed these carnitas burritos. Another social media find! Itted in a Pico Rivera with slightly confusing small parking lot parking. No street parking. The place looks and feels like it has been open for over 50 years, and it is owned for over 65. A few people were in line but they were very fast with orders and we got our food in less than 10 mins. Don't come to sit down because there is no seating anywhere. My friend and I ate standing in the parking lot using the hatchback floor as a table. Ordered to share everything, Two burritos, a Chile Rellwithno w/ green sauce, and Carnitas a Chile Tamale, and two Taquitos. The Chile Tamale was ok tasting. Fresh and piping hot but lacked favor. The same goes for the Taquito. The Chile Relleno w/ green sauce was the main event, Really good!! have to go with the green sauce as recommended by the counter gal. The Carnitas was also good but the winner was the Chile Relleno. Overall there tortillas, beans, and rice all have an authentic homemade flavor. The price to portion was very good, about $13 each. Finally tried this place after driving by it for the last 13 years. I was not impressed at all. The lady preparing the burritos weighs the meat on a scale if she goes over she takes a few strands out, this looks so bad. The burritos barely have any meat in them as it is, and the burritos are $10+. The taste of the food very bland from the beans to the salsa verde and even the chicharrón was very bland. I had the Chile verde burrito. The burrito was small, only had Beans and what they call Chile verde but had no meat! I think I had a tiny little piece. Burrito didn't even include cheese. The Chile was super watery! Every time I would take a bite it spilled out! And the service is terrible as well, all the workers look annoyed and bothered. Got the soft tostada and I gotta say this was very disappointing. Take a look at how much meat they put in here. It was pretty much a salad wrapped up in a tortilla. Is just me or do they raise their prices every 6 months. I used to go there once week but now,once a month.

Let me start off by saying that I was fully looking forward to eating at this restaurant and spending my money. But as soon as I arrived, I was greeted with attitude and a condescending tone. The food was not as advertised as the reason for me coming to the restaurant was an ad they had on Instagram. You can forget Them making the food how they advertise it in their ad. Apparently everything is extra from the rice the meat, the cheese in the burrito. If you are looking forward to the green, chile burrito, rethink it as it only has green sauce and beans. Seems like they're rationing on everything The lady that was taking my order was rude for no reason other than to maybe get me to leave the store. Tried a cile verde and chicharron bto this weeknd. Not thickest I have had but not the worst. The chicharron was the better of the two, perfect blend of spice in the sauce. The chile Verde was ok, hut the meat was either over cooked or fried but just didn't blend well. It seemed dry actually, not sure how that is possible. Found this place after driving by and noticing a small crowd out front. Menu is basically the classics. Family run with what appeared to be multiple family members at the helm in the kitchen. Their tamales have been served at our home every Christmas and New Years for as long as I can remember, delicious!! I called and I was trying to let them know that my burrito had no cheese thinking they would correct it, Jokes on me! instead the lady got mad at me and yelled at me and told me that I didn't know how to order!!
