    Pepperoni Pizza

I read the reviews on here after I had already ordered our pizza. Some of the reviews were not great, but I decided to be objective, as I was already committed. Ordered a cheese and pepperoni pizza, plain and simple. It was ready in 30 minutes. We liked it! I'd give it an 8/10. Crust was on the thin side, but not soggy. Sauce was average, nothing fabulous but not sour. Plenty of pepperoni but not cup and charred like I prefer, but I did not order that specifically. Finally, mozzarella cheese was "real", not fake cheese like some pizzerias use. We will definitely order again, and I'd ignore the bad reviews and try it yourself!

Pathetic. For $18 got 5 chicken fingers barely larger than the complimentary carrot & celery sticks with a small handful of lukewarm fries. Never again. Manager did offer to re-sauce or add a couple more, but I'll gladly take my business elsewhere. (coins added for size reference).

Vargo's is new to the area, I have heard from 2 friends they liked their pizza so we decided to give it a try. Since they are new there are a bunch of hiccups, the entire menu wasn't available yet when we ordered but that was ok we were just wanting to try the pizza. The wait time was double what they said when we ordered, they said someone called in so I won't hold that against them either. We tried the buffalo chicken pizza, it wasn't the best I've had but it was good, I think they make their own dough so that's a plus! And I saw on fb they make their own sub rolls another plus. The downfall is the pizza is very expensive, it's just a regular large pizza not a N.Y. style where you may pay more. This area has a lot of pizza places!

Terrible food, very slow. Not surprised they closed. The pizza was overly cheesy and the sauce had no flavor.

Wish I read the reviews before ordering . They were closed for 40 years. Should've stayed closed. Dull pizza. Soggy garlic bread.

Loved the pizza. And chicken wings were even better. The chicken wings were perfectly crispy and the pizza was crunchy.

The GPS took us to the first location that opened (the waitress said the 1960s) a long time ago. The building is sitting at an angle from the road so go to the right and turn in to park or go past and turn right for the parking lot. Middle of the afternoon on a Thursday they weren't too busy. We were seated immediately and waited on quick. I wanted some clarity with the wing heat. Some places hot is mild or hot is burn your face off. She clarified the medium hot is hot so that's what I decided on for an order of 6. My sister isn't so much of a wing person so she decided on a grilled cheese. The waitress was pleasant and answered all the questions we had. The restaurant itself isn't too big but can seat a lot of people. Total wing vibe. Lots of different flavors and quantities went by...everything looked tasty and fresh. They had Yuengling on tap so that's what I ordered. She had a pepsi. Food arrived fast. The aroma was to die for (ok it burns the eyes a little...). Came with celery and blue cheese. The wings were amazing, some of the best I have ever eaten. Crunchy celery and cool dipping sauce. Bigger than most that I have ordered and very freshly prepared. After 6 I was filled up...but I ordered another brew just to wash it all down. If you're in Buffalo (or the area) it's definitely worth stopping to have a treat. Other Buffalo favorites are on the menu as well (Beef on Weck sandwich. We will definitely be back, more flavors to try and locations to enjoy.

The sandwich was great and really salty (per the custom), but the bread became soggy pretty quick. I would dip it in the jus and try to bite it but the meat just couldn't be bit through and no matter how hard I tried it just made a sloppy mess. That was disappointing. The wings were ordered Medium Hot which they warn you is "Very Hot"... but it isn't. They were good, but next time I will order Hot because there was little to no burn. The fries were the frozen variety but nice, skinny and crispy. I liked dipping them in the leftover wing sauce. Next time, I will skip the sandwich and just get wings and fries. Hopefully it won't take me 5 years to come back.

I am not a fan of caramel or peanut butter sauce, so asked for these two items to be excluded. I do not know what other cookie flavor choices there are; I just picked chocolate! It was nicely packed up, with the ice cream in a separate container from the warm cookie. Both made it back to my house, the ice cream still solid and the cookie still warm. It is a wonderful treat. I think it might be difficult to order this after eating wings or a pizza or even a salad first, but as a separate treat, quite nice!

It was a bit busy (30-40 min wait for dining area), but there were a few tables off to the right of the bar where you could seat yourself. Luckily, one opened up right as we walked in. When seated at these tables, you have to order at the bar. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the nuggiez -- the sauce cooled the boneless bites down a little, but the flavor was still great. I loved all the sauces we tried (saucy hot cajun, medium, and garlic parm). The wings were perfectly crisp, and the steak pizza had a ton of flavor. Definitely a heavier meal, but if you're bringing someone from out of town who wants great wings, this is a spot worth taking them to.

Today, same thing, the food was really good. My friend ordered the macaroni and cheese with pork belly, I tasted the mac and it was delicious! I ordered a bacon, egg burger, asked for it to be cooked well, no pink, and it arrived with lots of pink. Instead of sending it back, I just ate half and brought the rest to go so I can cook and eat it later. Our waiter was great, I forget his name though, nice guy. So, when I arrived at 11:15am there was only one other couple seated. I walked in and said hello to the waitress (think her name was Sally), she gave me a very dry hello, I told her I was waiting for someone, she said they weren't there yet, sat me down for two, said something else but it was under her breath, I couldn't hear her, didn't feel very welcomed but it's okay. Our table had crumbs on it, my menu had crumbs on it. I was disappointed but honestly, I just wanted to have a good brunch with my friend so I cleaned it myself. I finally had a moment to take in the decor and it made me feel a little uneasy as I noticed a Hindu Buddha head, some scary dolls, sculptures and some weird decor going on, goats everywhere except one wall that had monkeys on it. Goats and monkeys are fine, just saying it was weird Whatever. Lol That's fine and all but it's just not my thing.

As if we hadn't eaten enough wings already, we couldn't resist squeezing in one more round before heading home. The weather in Western New York was absolutely perfect for October, so we grabbed a table out on the patio -- sunshine, laughter, and wings... can't beat it! We kicked things off with Fried Pickles. They were fine -- crispy and tasty -- and the dipping sauce had a nice little kick. But honestly, my mind was already on the wings! Our server, Olivia, was fantastic -- friendly, quick, and right on top of things. My brother and I split 10 wings, ordered Medium Hot. Now, Duff's isn't kidding when they say Medium is Hot! These packed a serious punch, but next trip we're going for the "Hot," which, by Duff's standards, is very, very hot! Their Blue Cheese was decent but I'm still searching for the best in WNY - looking for recommendations for me next years trip! Our sister, however, walks her own culinary path -- she ordered hers plain. Just fried. No sauce. We didn't judge... (well, maybe just a little ). We wrapped up our final meal together full, happy, and already reminiscing about the weekend. Even though the Bills didn't bring home a win, nothing beats the time we shared as family. Until next October... wings, laughs, and sibling shenanigans await again!
