I had an appointment with Tdan on Sunday. This was my first tattoo, I waited many years and formulated an idea of what I wanted, and researched artists but never found one that stood out. When I found Tdan something immediately told me in my gut he was the artist for the job. TDan listened to my idea and quickly came up with the perfect image to represent it. Additionally he walked me through the tattoo process and aftercare, and was very respectful, patient, and kind the entire time (full day appt). I really felt he went above and beyond what was expected of him to make the process as safe, comfortable, and of course the best possible artistic representation of the concept. I'm not going to go into all of the specific details, but TDan did me a large and unexpected favor, that really showed what kind of person he is and the morals that he lives by. I really can't say enough good things about his art or him as a person or Vatican studios in general, but I will be returning to finish my half sleeve and there is a very good chance I would like TDan to do the entire sleeve. If anyone is going to do it it will be him. 100% Worth the wait, and worth the cost to receive what I received. 10/10, perfect first tattoo experience. I went here for my 4th tattoo, and my only regret was not coming here for my first 3! My artist, Picasso, did amazing work. I was instantly impressed with his own portfolio, both online and on his wall, and felt very confident to proceed. My tattoo looks amazing. The detail is great and am thoroughly impressed with how quick he was able to do it too. As for the studio, it was very welcoming. Everyone was extremely friendly, making me feel very welcomed and right at home. The vibe of the place is pretty relaxing too with their comfortable waiting room. Earlier this year I got my tattoo done by Nakota. I already have a butterfly-ribbon for my daughter who has Down syndrome. The guy who did that a couple of years ago didn't do a good job, so I wanted to fix the coloring and add a butterfly for my other daughter and two roses; one for me and one for my husband. I planned on this being large and I wanted the roses to look real. Once I found Nakota and saw her work I knew she was the one to do my tattoo. I poured through her previous work and saw that she did floral work just like I wanted. We did the entire tattoo in one 4-5 hour sitting. She personally emailed back and forth with me and I even went in once beforehand so she could get the exact placement I wanted for my tattoo. She was very nice and easy to talk to. My tattoo turned out even better then I expected. I constantly get compliments on how amazing it looks and how it looks so realistic, even now after it's been on my arm for a while. If you're looking for her style of work then you can't go wrong with Nakota. Her husband Ron does the piercing at the shop and he is fantastic too. I have my nose pierced and really needed something other then my cheap Claire's stud, so I looked at the jewelry he sells. He has Neo Metal nose studs and I love them. I've bought three from him so far. They both love what they do and are great at their craft. read more

Vatican Studios is like no other tattoo shop I have seen. It feels like you are walking into a museum in Italy, but with an cool modern artsy vibe. Nakota Garza is an amazingly talented artist, and I cannot say enough good things about her. I have worked with several other tattoo artists over the years, and I have had some less than desirable experiences. But this has not been the case with Nakota. Her professionalism is on point and she gives you all information up front so that you know what to expect regarding pricing, design, scheduling, etc. I love her super detailed style and even though some of our sessions have been 5+ hours, the time always passes quickly and she is fun to talk to and hang out with during the entire process. For my last project I came to her with a picture of the Virgin Mary, (which was of an18th century piece of artwork) I expressed to her some of the changes I wanted to make and then I left the rest up to her. When I showed up for my appointment and saw the design she had created I was absolutely blown away. I wear my ink proudly and get compliments everywhere I go. What an amazing experience! I've been contemplating a tattoo for 25 years and it was time to fish or cut bait. I saw Mando's artwork on a young lady and it was so beautiful I knew this was the right artist and time for me. Take my word for it, give Mando your ideas or visions, then simply trust in his artistic abilities because he has flawless taste, an awesome eye and a prolific talent. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and I'm now, of course, thinking of tat number 2. It doesn't hurt either that the studio is beautiful. When you walk in you would swear you were in an old Victorian home, with beautiful artwork everywhere and a group of fun and talented people. Some may call it a mid life crisis, whatever it is, my first tattoo is as much a part of me now, as my left arm is, thanks to Picasso! I had experienced a life changing event and luckily do to a recommendation from a friend ended up at the Vatican. I emailed Franco who responded on a Sunday night and then I was introduced to Artist, Picasso Dular. I explained my event to Picasso, giving him very little to work with, and, a week later I came back to see my tattoo on paper and I was blown away! It certainly exceeded my expectation, and, to now have this original piece of art as part of me is a feeling I cant describe. I am so proud of it and I know Picasso is also proud of his work which was an element that was very important to me. I know a few things about life and one of them is that there are very few professionals in any business, too many people are either faking it or being pulled along by the people at the top. I can sincerely state Picasso is the real deal! I did not want to change a brush stroke on his drawing. My left arm was just finished, and, as awesome as his original drawing was, the tattoo is twice that, which, was a big surprise to me. We are not finished yet! I just stopped in today to look at Picasso's drawing for my right arm and it is so radical I'm lost for words. Again I gave Picasso a few tid bits to work with and he did it again! I cant wait to get started tomorrow! I also want to thank Franco and Josh and the whole crew. They are all very professional and make the whole experience valuable and life changing. read more
