The glue ran to under the fake nails and dried up making it look like underneath my nails is always dirty. It's very embarrassing for me. I work as a cashier and the customers can see it. Came in for the first time after the opening with COVID. Everyone must wear and mask and hand sanitizer is placed all over. All stations are spaced out and have plexiglass barriers, even the pedicure chairs. I was impressed! Not sure if it was due to COVID or not, but the lady doing my gel manicure wore gloves while some did not and when it came to the normal lotion and massage of the arms she just used her gloved hands without lotion, which must have had latex in them as not only did it feel rough because it was rubber on my dry skin, but after I left my arms broke out in hives. Next time I will skip the "massage" if there is no lotion and will def request that either the gloves do not have latex or that she does not use them. read more

She burned me when she was sanding off my acrylic dip but did apologize and turned down the machine. She was very careful throughout the session and was patient with me when I was uncertain of which color I wanted. She asked if I wanted to shorten my nails and asked which shape I wanted. Also!!! I wasn't going to write this review but i think it's necessary. I called an made an appointment for noon and let the owner know i was short on time. She ensured me an hour would be enough but when i showed up the ladies were late and did not show up until 12:20pm. When they finally started, I asked for stiletto nails and this was how she was shaping them. Idek what shape that is. And then, the lady doing my pedicure started cutting my toenail from the BOTTOM. This photo is from july 28, so you can only imagine how my nails has grown out. I'm too embarrassed to even post a photo and seeing it grown out is what made me want to post this review. They were friendly, made conversations, and asked about my life; but not too overbearing where I couldn't just sit and relax. I do like just sitting back to enjoy the pampering from time to time. My mother and I very much enjoyed our semi annual girls day At Sassy Nail Bar. Service is fantastic, you are very welll taken care of and pampered from the moment you step in. Love the vibe and decor of the place, not what you would expect from an older strip mall, they did a beautiful job, white, bright, modern and spotless, they are meticulous about keeping it clean. Few important facts about this place: 1- If you ask for gel and stones and when she wants to charge you more than a normal, simple refill then she is welcoming! If you want a simple refill then she makes you feel unwelcome! This is not a good quality. 2- She charges different prices every time without any explanation! First time new set is understandable, but every time different. Dont you have a menu with charges? I came here few times for her work, but not anymore! 3- TO SAVE TIME, Instead of using the machine to remove my old acrylic, SHE USED THE fake nails and put it under the layer and took all the nails off !!!!!! The pain was so much that i had to stop her few time! I asked a nail specialist last week and she said, she did it to take them off faster to get to the next client! And what she did damaged your nails! She took one layer off of your nails! Just to make more money Jenny? This is NOT A RIGHT THING TO DO! The reply has nothing to do with the service you provide. This place is clean and modern. Plenty of parking and situated behind Walgreens in shopping center. I was offered a beverage (the have a menu of alcoholic options or not) of my choice and it was included in cost of treatment. I also was provided with a scrub -Also included. I came here for a set of gel acrylics for the first time. I was super super excited! Katie was an amazing technician and I love my nails, but I was charged $60 for a set of acrylic coffin shaped acrylics (simple ombré design) despite the fact that they stated it was $50 for a full set of acrylics on Yelp just 18 days ago (this is without tip, which I came in set to tip 20% minimum in cash). I came in with virgin nails and I've never been to a nail salon before but I feel that $60 is steep for nails only, no pedicure included! I feel like I was taken advantage of. The service was fine, I am honestly not sure if I will be back because of the sudden price variation. I moved to Lake Forest 8 months ago and was hoping to find my new regular nail salon but I am now definitely going to check out other local salons before making a solid decision. read more
