7 month later update: I am still absolutely in love with my hair extensions. I was apprehensive to get sew in wefts because I had never tried that method of extensions before and I'm not keen on high maintenance hair. Little did I know that the sew-in method is much more client friendly than tape in extensions and not high maintenance at all! I will never go back to tape ins. The hair quality is amazing and worth the extra cost (Bellami). I've used cheaper weft brands from Amazon and regretted it. Never again. Trust me, invest in the quality brand. The Bellami hair was first installed almost 1 year ago and it still looks and feels like new. As far as the install and move up service, it is super quick and painless. My hair grows fast so I get the extensions moved up every 6 weeks or so , but I hear others can go up to 8 weeks or longer. The recommendation is to have a reinstall after 3-4 move ups to replace the silicon lined grips (rings). It all depends on how well the client takes care of their hair and the "wear and tear". For example, you don't want to go to sleep with wet wefts. Make sure to at least dry the roots. Use a good conditioner, shampoo the roots, and don't condition the roots, else you run the risk of the rings slipping. I learned that after my very first install and the salon was great in fitting me in to fix the slipped rings at no cost to me. Another example, if you work out and sweat a lot like I do, hit your roots with the blow dryer afterwards if you don't want to fully wash the hair. With a good dry shampoo I can go a week before washing. Another tip Kristin shared with me was to hit my roots with dry shampoo right after washing and drying my hair, it's like root insurance :-) also, before bed spray the roots heavily with dry shampoo and lightly rub it in. The dry shampoo will do the rest as you sleep. Kristen, Tabitha, Rosie and Rachel have either installed or moved up or both and they are all amazing stylists, professional, super friendly, and helpful. They've given me advice on how to care for my hair in between services so that I can get the most out of my investment. There are several other stylists who are super friendly at Vault. The environment is great, so I'd go with anyone! I highly recommend Vault salon for all hair services. I'm so glad I found this salon after moving to the area almost 2 years ago. read more

I was looking for a new salon and am super impressed with Vault! I initially had my hair done by Rachel, who was super kind and did a great job styling my hair. However, when I got home and wore my hair naturally, I wasn't as happy with the cut. The salon had no issue scheduling me a redo appointment with Kristen at no charge. She cut my hair dry to make sure it was shaped more to my liking, and I left with exactly what I wanted. Both stylists were great, and now I have a better idea of what to ask for next time. I had such a wonderful experience today with Rosie. She's so friendly and easy to talk to. Made my long day less stressful. I was immediately greeted when I walked in. My original appointment was with Devon, but he was out sick, so Rosie stepped in. I had my hair colored, highlighted, and cut today. The color turned out great! I asked for a lighter brown. Rosie looked at a few of my pictures and gave me a color that was a combination of all 4. My pictures just don't do it justice because they don't capture the quality and color like in person! Haircut was simple. Just a trim at the bottom and polished my long bangs. She also gives the best head massages! All this tension was released while my hair was being washed. Cut was free as a new client. I also had special pricing for my highlights as a new client. 20% off of my hair products. With hair products and tip included, the price was amazing! I also received a welcome kit! That was a plus and I was super impressed. Felt valued as a customer! But most importantly of all was the quality of work and customer service! I have been to The Vault Salon 3 times. Jared has been my stylist for 10 years now and he recently joined the Vault. He always does a great job on my cut and color and I am super picky. I will follow him wherever he goes! My last service was with McKenna who is the aesthetician that recently joined the Vault from another salon. I have really bad melasma from my last pregnancy and have not been able to get the dark spots under control so I signed up for a hyperpigmentation facial. McKenna really took her time to understand my routine including what products I've used . She knew exactly what to do and my dark spots are reduced and the tone looks much smoother and radiant. The product she recommended is also great. She really knows her stuff. It may take a few facials but I am feeling hopeful that my skin is in good hands!! read more

Absolutely magical- Today was the first time ever coloring my hair. I was a bit nervous not to mention 2020 emotions flying everywhere. I had the delight of speaking to 2 amazing hair stylists at Vault (Josie + Madisen) at first but with everything slowly shutting down again- I rushed my appointment and Madisen colored my hair. First, let me start by saying how beautiful and professional this salon is. They follow every CDC/health guideline/precautions- you name it. I felt safe. That seems to be the deal breaker especially this year full of uncertainty. Second, Madisen did an amazing job on my balayage. She explained everything and put the health of my hair first (it's a thing) while still getting my desired hair color. She was so sweet and I did talk her ear off. I have been attempting to schedule a cut and vivid color, off and on, for nearly a year. I'm amazed at how many salons/stylists never responded at all or said "I'll check my schedule" then ghosted me. I was thrilled to get an appointment during my summer time, scheduled 4 months in advance, then devastated when that stylist canceled last minute. Rosemary at the Vault returned my contact very quickly and I was able to get in to see Abby within a few days for a consult. After hearing about my disappointment, Abby and the Vault team went above and beyond to work some schedule magic and fit me in before my flexible summer schedule ended. I am not a frequent guest at salons and don't know the lingo, so I could not really describe what I wanted very well... so Abby's instructions were basically 1) cut off as much as you can for donation 2) vivid galaxy colors, with at least teal, and any other colors she thought would work 3) any cut she thought would work well for me, as long as I could get it out of my face when I work out I appreciated Abby lending me her expertise and making decisions, rather than insisting that I make my own choices about my hair-also that she didn't make me feel like an idiot for not knowing what I wanted. She chose teal & purple (colors I would have chosen) along with a magenta and rich blue (colors I probably woult not have picked)...but I'm SO GLAD I trusted her because the colors she chose are some of my favorites! I ended up with a peek-a-boo galaxy with purple highlights on the top and I am SO thrilled. I am not creative enough to have come up with this idea and her inspiration exceeded my expectation. She was friendly and we had some nice chats, but she also didn't feel the need to fill every minute with small talk, which I really appreciated. I was fascinated by the process and enjoyed sitting in silence, just watching her skilled hands working. She also recommended some products for me, but in a "this will preserve your color" and not in a pushy way at all. They also gave me snacks when my tummy rumbled 5 hours into the treatment. Great experience! Friendly, experienced, refreshing and CLEAN! Let me start by saying I'm the worst at making appointments and always end up trying to find a salon last minute. I called Vault and explained my anniversary snuck up on me and I needed a cut and dye ASAP! They put me on a wait list in case someone cancelled that day. Thank God someone did! They were so sweet to squeeze me in last minute to fix a hack job I received at SuperCuts a few months ago. The woman who answered the phone was really sweet and helpful, no flat monotone voice that you get when you call most Salons. My Stylist was Abby, she was so nice and paid a lot of attention to my hair, playing with it a bit and asking me what I wanted, really working with me on how to fix my frumpy uneven layers without taking too much off. She was such a sweetheart and really made me feel like my hair was in good hands. After my last experience with a salon I was scared to trust anyone with my hair again but needless to say I've found my hair a forever home at this place! They charge by the hour and for dye product so it's not a set price- depending on what you are looking for, but the results are fabulous and definitely worth it! read more

EDIT: Rosemary the owner fixed my hair and was incredibly apologetic and clearly would have done anything to give me a better experience. I really appreciated how much she wanted to make my experience right. First I gave 1 star but after my interaction with rosemary plus she refunded the amount extra that I was charged. Really professional caring ownership. First time visit: I made an appointment online and when I arrived the stylist hadn't accepted my appointment and couldn't fit me in. Fine, things slip through and another stylist, tabitha could see me the next day. But I was charged a whole new number much higher than what I was supposed to pay for the first stylist. They didn't warn me it would be more expensive and didn't offer anything for messing up. For the same amount of money I could have gone somewhere that actually would've styled my hair after blow drying and the stylist didn't leave me in the chair to go do another full haircut before coming back. Yes you read that right she just left and did another full haircut while I just sat. Only when I got home did I notice huge chunks of my hair cut haphazard at al different lengths. After I moved to the Roseville area I needed a new hairstylist, and Vault Salon has done the job. I tried several other 'high-end' places and left with blotchy brassy patches. The Vault was different. I'm not a hairstylist but I dated a man whose mother was, and I could tell they were doing it right. I have really long thick hair that's time-consuming to work with, but they had no problem booking extra time for it. Unfortunately, this salon was a big disappointment. I was trying to find a new stylist to do my hair and I read good reviews online about this salon, so decided to give it a try. Based on their website I took the time to fill out their survey to make an appt and put a substantial deposit down. I arrived at the time of my appointment, thinking I had an appointment, because they charged my credit card for the deposit amount. After taking the time off from work and driving to the salon I was told that my appointment request had been declined. In 10 days from requesting the appointment, I was never provided any notice that my appointment had been declined prior to arriving and if my appointment had been declined you would think they would not have charged my credit card. But they did. So not only did I take the time off from work, drove all of the way down to the salon to be told that my appointment had been declined. But I also had to wait for the person at the front counter to refund my deposit. Also, if they were that interested in retaining business you would think that the person at the front counter would offer to help me find another appointment but that didn't happen either. read more

Getting a haircut is one of the few limited luxury experiences I truly enjoy. So after six months of quarantine and almost nine months without a cut, the situation was a bit dire. Since my usual stylist moved across country, I've been trying to find a new "regular" I can trust and I have spent a long time searching. Making an appointment was easy and accessible, and I could tell they were taking the pandemic-related restrictions very seriously. I read great things about everyone but chose Kaylee and I am so glad I did! She is so talented and such a great hair consultant. I showed her concepts for a cut and she provided some tweaks that would make the style more suitable for my face and lifestyle (I don't style too often). Wow first things first as a guy walking into a salon can be very intimidating or nerve racking you don't know what to expect. But I was met by Shireen right at the door and guided into the Vault and all those feelings disappeared quickly. Before I could really say anything she knew and could tell of my hairs vibes exactly what needed to be done. So as a hair Navy seal she jumped right in to operation Mullet . The conversation was absolutely amazing and she was hyping me up the entire time and as I was sitting in her chair getting this majestic mullet casted upon me I felt like I was on top of the world !! When it was done she spun me around and a single tear rolled down my cheek because of how happy I was to see the glory in front of my face .. she wiped it with a single swipe of a cloth and I stood up shook me mullet and I heard an eagle scream.... I went on their website and said that I wanted a balayage, it paired me with Madisen Litteral. She was super friendly, and from what I could tell had a lot of experience. When you book, the price is generated, and no consultation was needed. This was a nice feeling, knowing how much the procedure was going to cost before making the appointment! The place was very clean, they even offered refreshments throughout the session. In-between clients there were dividers, and everyone wore mask! COVID screening happens on mobile and only took 10 seconds before being invited in as well for that extra security. She listened to and enhanced my shaggy pixie cut request and texturized it exactly how I wanted it. The salon itself is gorgeous, super clean, and everyone is very friendly. My haircut was also cheaper than Fantastic Sam's ($45 here vs. the $75 they charged at FS - WAT). There's definitely a reason why they have over 100 reviews and a 5 star rating. I came into this salon because I wanted to try something new instead of my usual hairstylist. Well, I instantly regretted it. I showed my hair stylist (Kristin) a picture of what I wanted, which was a cool light mushroom brown color. I asked for a moneypiece as well. What I got was a warm-toned, slightly orange light brownish color with no moneypiece. For the haircut, I asked for layers. The length was good, but I could barely see the layers in my hair. Afterwards, she then told me to book another session to get the color I wanted which would take 2 hours and would cost me near $300. I've had my hair lighter than even the picture I showed her in one session and I know it doesn't take 2 sessions to get this color that I wanted and paying almost $600-700 just to get this is outrageous, especially when it's not even blonde. I wouldn't come here again even to get my hair fixed, would rather get a refund at this point. Now I have to go back to my old hairdresser to get my hair fixed again.. This place has nothing but 5 star ratings for a reason! I have never been so happy about a haircut until I found Vault salon and met Abby. I told her exactly what I wanted, how I wanted it and she did everything I asked for to a T! I was instantly comfortable with her and so easy to talk to. I have naturally dark hair, and it was a few inches below my shoulders. I asked for an A line bob with full blonde highlights and she did that in about 3/4 hrs!
