Cup of Chicken Noodle Soup
Matt T.

After walking for about 3 1/2 miles, I was ready for some lunch and I searched the area and this place looked good. It was only a couple of miles from where I was. Walking in, it reminded me of Panera Bread. They had a lot of baked goods on display that all looked quite amazing, as well as pies for sale to take home. I ordered a Chicken Lighthouse Sandwich which came on toasted wheat bread, tomatoes, cheddar cheese and was supposed to have a pesto mayonnaise I believe, but I got it without. I also got a cup of chicken noodle and a slice of their Lemon Blueberry Silk Pie. The whole lunch was great. The pie was especially good. They have a few locations, so if I pass another while I'm in Michigan, I may have to stop in for another slice. It was also very clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly. Great place for lunch!

Overall, TCPC used to be significantly better than it is now. I don't know what is happening but there is very little filling and a ton of crust. In fact, there was so much that we legitimately had to use a steak knife in order to cut it and had a hard time discerning which pie we were eating between the two we bought! Then to top it off you are charging $17 for a pie?! Really?!?! I live in Chicago and this is expensive! We don't charge this much for pie in Chicago. I just... Have been pretty disappointed overall. My recommendation is for you to take a pass. I mean this is total BS. Do yourself a favor- get a Marie Callendar's pie at the grocery store for $5. At least you'll taste the filling, can cut the crust and can save a few bucks along the way. Seriously- the worst. And if you're reading this TCPC, it's time for some serious re-evaluation.

Lighthouse Turkey Cheddar Sandwich

I hadn't been here in awhile so decided to run in for a sandwich. I have to say it was really disappointing. Paid over 11.00 for the Lighthouse Turkey Cheddar and there was hardly any turkey on it. I'm tired of spending big bucks on chintzy portions. I won't be back. At a nearby deli I can get a 2-inch thick brisket and cheddar sandwich for nearly the same price.

Had the greatest Chicken Pot Pie today. I highly recommend it! After I bought some decorated cookies for my grandkids, they will love them?

Sub par soup, very oily and heavy for chicken soup. Better for their staples like pot pie, fruit pies, pastries, and coffee.

Enjoyed a nice lunch for two. Got a booth quickly upon arriving with complimentary crispy tortilla…read moreChips and plenty of salsa. Hot sauce options to spice up the meal on the table already. Craving tamales ordered the 3 tamale plate with beef. I was surprised by the amount the meat and cheese layered on top and not rolled inside the tamal. Plenty of food for two to split as an entrees. Small portion Refried pinto beans and Mexican Rice as expected kinda bland and not very warm at all upon arriving at the table. With only one other person in the restaurant and ordering only one entrees I expected faster service and hot food. The plate was the warmest part of the meal. Lots of soda options, but they do not serve alcohol (plenty options downtown Midland nearby to enjoy a drink).

I wouldn't come back here when there are so many other options in Midland. The servers were very…read morefriendly but when I asked a question I realized that she didn't speak English. She ran and got someone to translate. So I actually didn't order what I wanted because I knew she wouldn't be able to understand what I was saying. That's my fault ! My friend got the super large burrito and it was the size of a Taco Bell bean burrito and had no side dishes with it so I thought that was kind of expensive and he didn't like the food anyways. I got one of the vegetarian options and the bean burrito was like a small burrito I'd make at home with a can of refried beans. It also had a cheese enchilada that was like something I would make at home too. When we sat down and got the chips and salsa, I asked if they had a hot salsa also. The waitress went and got someone to translate who then ran and brought me a saucer full of hotter salsa that was good, but I wasn't told that it would be an extra $5 and didn't realize it until the bill came. Like I said, I won't be going back here again!!
