I need to start by saying I haven't been here in about ten years due to a bad experience. I decided to give it another go and shouldn't have. I do want to say that our server was great! She was very friendly and attentive. The food however, was very lackluster. I ordered Kung Pao Chicken. There wasn't a single spicy pepper in the dish. In fact, this wasn't a spicy or flavorful dish at all. There were three large pieces of green pepper, two large pieces of red pepper and at least one whole stalk of celery. This is a cheap filler that shouldn't be in any Asian dish. The chicken wasn't good quality. It hadn't been properly trimmed and wasn't pleasant to eat. There was also about an entire can of sliced water chestnuts in this dish. They were not listed in the menu so that was a surprise, especially for someone who doesn't care for them. I would have ordered my dish without them had they been listed on the menu. I've given them another try and will not be back again. read more

Best service and sushi in the area. My husband and I have frequented this places over the years and always have been satisfied customers. We have done both take away and eat in and their food has always been excellent. It is pricey, but well worth it. Our favorite dish their is the pan crispy noodles. It has shrimp, beef, chicken, & pork and crispy noodles. It doesn't sound good nor does it look good, but it taste amazing!! They have great sushi rolls and I am always happy with each one I try! Service was excellent. The food is pricey. The apps- not worth the money! We had Calamari and chicken steam dumplings. Calamari was overcooked, very sparse and tasted like it was frozen out of a plastic bag! Dumplings lacked any flavor. The rest of the food was fare at best. This restaurant is always busy and after one meal, you'll know why. They have a very convenient pick up service. They deliver most nights (I know they don't deliver on Saturdays. The employees are so friendly and accommodating, especially the front desk staff and their delivery people. This is an OUTSTANDING Asian restaurant. Food is fantastic. I hear the Sushi is great. (I don't eat sushi) the egg rolls & vegetable lo mein are great! Rice is cooked perfectly and the restaurant and bathrooms are spotless! If you go on a weekend expect a wait. I think they take reservations. The dining area is nicely decorated but is small. Don't expect to go on a Friday or Sat night from 6-8pm and expect to be seated in less than 30 -45 min. This place by far has the best Asian food in the area. They have a big menu, a variety of food to choose from. We ordered fried calamari for starter, Thai red curry chicken, lamb chop and Singapore fried rice noodle. The food is pretty good. It is good portion with reasonable pricing. I would recommend the Singapore fried rice noodle, it is very tasty spiced with chicken and shrimp. The lamb chop is a little salty. Sushi is 2.5 stars, not the best ingredients nor impressive, would not recommend. Their chinese dishes range from 3 to 3.5 stars. Haven't tried their thai dishes. I suspect this restaurant gets such high ratings because of their service and ambience. It is also located in the suburbs which does not offer a tremendous number of authentic, good Chinese restaurants. What keeps me coming back is the proximity to home and the good service. When I really want extremely delicious and authentic Chinese food, I make the drive into Chinatown. Chilean sea bass - such a delicious fish, sadly they battered and fried the fish before sautéing it in the sauce, which made the batter soggy. Description did not mention battered and fried, and this delicious fish when done well does not need that extra batter and oil. Visited: Monday - July 13, 2015 - 6 PM An overdue visit with my son brought us to Veekoo Asian Cuisine. I thought he had eaten here but to my surprise, no. Nevertheless, I'm always eager to visit a new eatery. Veekoo is located in the 10th Avenue Shoppes shopping center. There is ample parking. The inside is nicely appointed and eye pleasing. We were presented a Chinese and Japanese menu. The font of the Chinese menu and the darkened room forced me to ask for assistance from my son. My son quickly concurred that the Chinese menu was virtually illegible. We favored the Japanese menu by default. My son ordered the hot and spicy Thai style pineapple fried rice with chicken and shrimp (See NOTE). I ordered the Sushi & Sashimi Combination (eight pcs sushi, six pcs sashimi, and four California rolls ($25.95) and the Wonton Soup ($3.00) from the Chinese menu. The garden salad was drenched in the iconic orange ginger dressing which unfortunately, muted the crisp texture of the greens. Although I ordered the wonton soup, I received the Miso soup (see NOTE). It was remarkably bland. The Sushi & Sashimi Combination was beautifully presented but dry - I don't use the soy sauce. The California rolls were moist and tasty. My son was not impressed by his entree - he generally enjoys all food! Sorry son....next time the old man selects the restaurant.......and you're paying! NOTE: I paid $14.95 for my son's entree; The menu cited $13.95. My Sushi & Sashimi Combination INCLUDED Miso soup OR the garden salad. Yes, I received the salad and the miso soup but was charged for the price of the wonton soup ($3.00). The a-la-carte charge for Miso soup is $2.50. We have been visiting Veekoo for the last 3 years and have never been disappointed! Pre-COVID we would typically eat in the restaurant, but since then we have done more take out if possible. The orders are always accurate, fresh, visually appealing and delicious!! We have waited at Veekoo for special occasions and we've also been seated immediately numerous times when visiting. We enjoy being able to order online and see pictures of the sushi rolls (we can never remember which ones we like by name, usually by picture). We love the sushi here but it is very expensive, the girls at the front are a little ditzy and they are almost never ready for pickup when they say and delivery is often 1:30 out when they commit to 45 minutes. Never would have thought a place this good would be is Royersford. Sushi was fantastic - best I have had in the Philly area. It's also a BYOB which is great. Gets pretty crowded on Friday and Saturday nights. Reservations really don't help - people who walk in get seated just as fast (or slow) when they are busy. The past few times we have been here the sushi wasn't rolled very tight and fell apart. We made a comment the first time it happened and we were told that it was because of the type of fish that was used. Not sure I buy that excuse - same thing happened the next two times. Hopefully it improves in the future - outside of that their stuff is really great! read more
