Prince the Cat

I cannot praise this facility, staff and doctors enough! Prince the Cat just had a visit to meet them all because he was foaming at the mouth. The staff and doctor took amazing care of my fur baby. I was a mess! Thank you ladies, from the bottom of my heart! (Prince is fine)

Rabbit care - While the team was unable to diagnose my bun the Dr and the team were absolutely amazing! They did some preliminary test and unfortunately told me that it was too far past the "Urgent Care" and I needed to go see a specialist. I appreciate the honesty and integrity of the doctor and staff. More Human doctors should have that integrity! If I ever need something simple for the buns or something for my pet I will definitely be back. Thank you again!

She was crying out afterwards, and so we knew she had to be put down immediately. Her usual vet was closed, and does not do euthanasia. Quickly found VEG Seattle, and called, then arrived shortly after in the very early morning hours to the kindest, understanding, and accommodating group of people. We hoped for Ella to have been able to pass naturally, but I am forever grateful for the team at VEG for creating a warm atmosphere that made her final moments in my arms, what I'd hope it would have been at home. Thank you

When it was time to say goodbye we were taken to a private room so we could spend as much time as we needed together. They made sure it was a peaceful passing for Penny, but also regularly checked in on me and explained everything kindly and thoroughly. I would like to especially shout out Ashton, who was kind enough to make Penny a beautiful plate of sweets and even shared her own piece of pie. It was so helpful to be around such a caring individual at the worst moment of my life. We had taken Penny in once before, and my husband and I both appreciated the set up of the clinic - you can see your animal being cared for and be with them every second. We didn't ever stay overnight with Penny during a hospitalization, but what an amazing thing to be able to be with them the whole time. Other emergency vets aren't like that. Thank you, VEG!

Brought my cat in who it ended up was having major liver issues…read more Everyone was caring and kind and handed up spending one overnight. However, his cytology report is urgent to know if the antibiotics should work or he needs a steroid for inflammation I called once in the morning, once in the evening, finally stressing that he was not eating, and I might have to make a terrible decision this weekends. If I'm lucky, I will get a call today otherwise it's going to be tomorrow. Well, tomorrow might be too late if he does need steroids. I get that it's just the ER vets to do that calling, but somehow they've got to carve out time when your pet is having a life-threatening situation and lab results could mean changing treatment I'm not sure I would use them again. EDIT: they've now had my cat's cytology results for at least 36 hours but they are "understaffed" and will perhaps call me today. But I can of course "bring him back in" This is completely unacceptable

So I consulted my bff Chat and they told me to bring in right away. I found Old Growth as it was 24 hours and they kept me informed with what was going on and didn't preform any procedure without my permission and explanation of what said procedure was and why needed. I am so grateful for the understanding staff as Basil is a spicy cat and they catered his care around his spiciness. I took full advantage of the care now pay later options that were on the wall which allowed me to put my full attention on my beautiful boy. Thank you Old Growth.

the last thing a pet owner wants ahead of a long weekend is a trip to the emergency vet; actually,…read moremost pet owners i know aren't excited about emergency vet visits at any time of year but when they happen and you want to make sure your fur baby is ok, you go, regardless of the costs involved. late last week i made the decision to take my dog in with an issue i've seen him have before but this time all my efforts didn't curb the symptoms and i decided i'd get a jump on what promised to be a full emergency waiting room ahead of fireworks and loud noises. the closest VEG location to me is in interbay but when i called they suggested i go to lynwood, federal way or redmond because they were already slammed. so up to lynnwood we went and when we walked in, i got an introduction into how differently VEG locations handle things. each pet/human is greeted and triaged. the open concept of seeing everyone working and every other patient out in the open may be different from what you're used to but it demystifies things for sure. you're not left wondering what's happening to your pet behind closed doors. and in an emergency when your cortisol levels may already be elevated this is most likely a welcome difference in protocol. we were ushered to an alcove with a couch and someone came over with a laptop to get details and reasons why we were there. minutes later a tech and vet arrived and we talked to them. she patiently listened and said she'd develop a plan for how to investigate what was going on and in retrospect i appreciated that she didn't go straight to imaging and other costly testing but decided to go the route of labs/biochemical diagnoses to rule things like pancreatitis out. once she left us, i got a text message with a quote and link to pre pay. having done that, we waited a bit longer and another pair of staff arrived to draw blood. we were told it would take about 30min for lab results. we waited, we watched the staff moving around to different patients with different needs levels. eventually the vet returned with lab results and recommendations before another tech came with discharge papers and a goodie bag of sample gastrointestinal foods. all told, we were there about two hours and i was highly impressed with the level of service and care we received. things were clean, the staff all seemed positive about the company they are employed by and they genuinely care about delivering a high standard of care to everyone who walked through the doors, human and animal. one thing i appreciated was that the vet mentioned that i could call or email with follow up questions and also mentioned that if we needed to return, we could go to the interbay location because all locations are connected and would have access to his file/treatments. yesterday we received a follow up text to check on him, also encouraging calls if we have questions. VEG seems to have emergency veterinary service and human customer service dialed in. it's hard to know who and where to go in an emergency but i'd carried the VEG name and number in my phone for years without having a need to use them; now i can say that i'd recommend them based on our experience this past weekend.

I was not ready to lose her, but the quality of her life was one of intense pain. The vet was very compassionate and was also concerned and felt she had sepsis. The cost was astronomical. Nearly 3k$. I wish there were places that recognized ppl cannot afford that much in this economy. That is the reason for 4 out of 5. We are seniors and this will take us years to pay.

Upon check in the registration asks if we would consent for pain management and possible fluid administration totaling $600-800 prior to seeing the physician. We consented because we knew he was in severe pain and had not had fluids in a day. To my shock and deep frustration we waited 2.5 hours before finding out they had not initiated any treatment and were waiting to receive payment before treatment. I had thought they would make him comfortable while awaiting test results and further consent. I expressed my disappointment in their lack of treatment and how I had expected them to at least make him comfortable while he waited for a thorough exam. Upon voicing my frustration the physician abruptly left our exam room and we never were able to speak to her again except through the front desk worker as an in between. Would a hospital make your loved one wait for payment before starting treatment? I will never bring a pet back to this location and I will be sure to spread the word about their lack of professionalism, inability to triage, inability to be an adult and speak directly, and lack of a standard of care. This facility may look nice and state they have multiple providers on scene, but they lack the ability to follow through when it matters.

Our experience at BluePearl was one of the most frustrating veterinary experiences we've ever had…read more When people bring a beloved pet to an emergency hospital, they're scared, vulnerable, and looking for expertise, communication, and compassion. Unfortunately, our experience fell far short of those expectations. We brought our dog in after she had been vomiting for days, hadn't eaten in two days, was panting heavily, whining in pain, and appeared to be having difficulty breathing. She was taken to the back immediately, but after that we were left sitting in an exam room for over an hour with no updates. We eventually went to the front desk ourselves to ask what was going on. We were told the doctor would be in shortly, and then waited another hour before he finally came to speak with us. During that conversation, we learned for the first time that our dog had arrived with a temperature of 104 degrees. We asked whether she still had a fever, and the doctor didn't know and said he would have to go check. About 30 minutes later, another staff member brought treatment estimates that included a quick scan ultrasound the doctor had never mentioned. This was the first time anyone told us that a quick scan ultrasound had supposedly been performed. We had questions about the findings, but no one could clearly explain them. When the doctor returned, he recommended additional bloodwork before realizing information from recent bloodwork was already in our dog's chart. Watching him review the chart in front of us after making recommendations significantly undermined our confidence in the care being provided. After approximately four hours, we left with a bill of more than $600, no diagnosis, no treatment plan, and no clear answers about what was causing our dog's symptoms. We were charged for an IV catheter and a quick scan ultrasound. Despite being told our dog arrived with a 104 degree fever, nobody ever explained why no treatment was provided for it. Emergency medicine is complicated, and not every case has an immediate diagnosis. What isn't acceptable is spending four hours in an emergency hospital with so little communication, so little doctor interaction, and so few answers.
