They also had good reviews. I brought my pup in for his appointment. Dr Christine was excellent. She was on the floor loving my pup while poking and prodding. I was very happy with her. I spent $130 less than my original vet, including 6 mo flea, tick and heart worm meds.

The vet tech went back and a conversation occurred with Dr. Day. She did not want to "get in the middle of" a lost dog and the dog should go to the pound. All of these conversations occurred in the back but I could hear all of the commentary clear as day. I informed the vet tech that posters had been posted (physical and e-postings), the Cobb county pound had been notified, and I just wanted to make sure the dog was healthy while we continued to look for the owner. Another back room conversation occurred and I finally opened the door to inform the group that I could hear them. If they did not want to provide services I can find another vet. I was just trying to do the right thing by the dog. I felt so uncomfortable and judged by Dr Day for being a descent human being. It's funny because we usually go to Powers Ferry Animal Hospital but I'm searching for a closer vet since we just moved to the area. They not only lost my business with this dog but also with two other pets as well. Do better and know that people can hear you and your words and opinions matter.

They tell me every time, he's so good and happy they just keep him out with them during his treatment sessions. When I picked him up yesterday, the doctor and all his caregivers came in with his beautiful "Kicked Cancer's Tail" bandana and a poster of Bogey...ringing the bell of sorts! He literally gave each person a hug goodbye (he loves them, as do I). I cannot lie, I cried all the way home. Thank you for saving Bogey's life! I would not recommend this animal hospital to anyone. On March 11, 2026, I brought my cat Georgia…read morein for an emergency visit. My cat Georgia was experiencing an upper respiratory infection. We met with Dr. Laura Mackey for less than five minutes. During that time, Dr. Mackey explained to me that Georgia needed to have some teeth pulled from her lower jaw because, according to Dr. Mackey, that was the cause of the upper respiratory issue. I was not convinced, but Dr. Mackey was the supposed professional. I asked Dr. Mackey if we should do some X-rays; she replied absolutely not. I've seen this before, and I'm sure that I'm 90% right. She went on to say that if, after the teeth are removed and my cat is still experiencing any issues, she can take a second look and then decide if an X-ray would be necessary. Dr. Mackey was also unsure how many teeth would need to be pulled and wouldn't know until she operated. New Hope Animal Hospital charged me $298.72 for the five-minute consultation and then an additional $852.86 for the operation on 3/17/26. After the operation, Dr. Mackey's assistant came to see me with my cat Georgia, and she explained to me that Dr. Mackey wanted me to know that the fluid running from my cat's eye might not clear up; that's just how it might be from now on. I thought that to be odd, because that was one of the issues we were trying to correct. Long story short, six weeks went by and my cat's condition worsened a lot. I brought Georgia back in, and this time we saw Dr. Regan Gulledge. Dr Gulledge explained that because my cat was suffering from an upper respiratory infection, removing her lower teeth would do nothing to correct the problem, but Dr. Mackey didn't know that because she didn't do an X-ray. What Dr. Mackey should have known, in my opinion, was that a tooth issue on the lower jaw was not connected to an upper respiratory issue. It's either she knew that and went ahead with the teeth removal anyhow, or, again in my opinion, she's completely incompetent. Either way, in my opinion, she should not be a veterinarian making these kinds of decisions. Dr. Gulledge then suggested an X-ray after she explained what might be going on. As it turned out, my cat had been suffering from a tumor growing in her nasal passage. Dr. Gulledge told me that my cat had two weeks to two months to live. So Dr. Mackey removed four teeth from a cat that had less than two months to live, and now my cat not only has a tumor in her head but also has a difficult time eating because Dr. Mackey thought it wise to remove her teeth without the need for an X-ray. Dr. Gulledge sold me a bottle of Orbax for $98.15 (Chewy has it for $55.64 for the same size bottle of 20 ml). Dr. Gulledge charged me $508.12 total for the visit on top of what I had already paid for the previous two visits. I spent $1,659.70 at New Hope Animal Hospital just to learn that my poor cat had maybe two months to live, and she now has a difficult time eating thanks to Dr. Mackey. I protested over $852 of the charges with my credit card company and won the dispute. I also took my cat to a VCA animal hospital that has accreditation; New Hope does not. The VCA hospital confirmed to me that removing my cat's teeth had nothing to do with an upper respiratory issue. Upper respiratory and lower respiratory are not connected. I lost over six weeks of fighting the tumor with medications thanks to the inaccurate information and procedure performed by Dr. Mackey at New Hope Animal Hospital. Almost four months later, my cat is still alive, eating the best she can and hanging out with our other pets, but it's a day-to-day thing; she won't be around for much longer. I wrote this review so that others are informed of my experience and can make an educated decision for themselves.

Dr. Cary takes the time to really get to know each pet as an individual. What works for one of my cats might not work for the others, and she always tailors her advice with that in mind. She's incredibly thoughtful, knowledgeable, and compassionate -- and she makes herself available via email, which has been so helpful when I've had questions or wanted to run something by her. She also really gets the financial side of things. She never pushes unnecessary services and often suggests effective OTC options when appropriate. This dog unfortunately passed of cancer last summer, meaning he needed frequent vet visits near the end of his life. I'll always be eternally grateful to Dr Kwak and Dr Killough for the bond they created with my dog, as it made this whole experience a lot less stressful. Everybody here from the techs, front desk, doctors, and back staff are so kind, loving, and understanding of the bond we share with our animals.
