Haven't been here in years. We decided to check out the spot and see how it's been since we last visited. We luckily got parking in front of the restaurant. Pay at the meter. After we paid, we thought the place was closed...but then realized it wasn't. We tried to go in a different door that was locked. The entrance is so confusing because it's literally on the inner side that you can't see! Can easily be missed! Good thing we found it before leaving. When else entered, it was empty! On a Friday night. It felt like VIP and private we had the restaurant to ourselves but it was so sad at the same time. They were more strong on to-go orders as customers came and went. We ordered their vegetable tempura, pineapple fried rice, and panang curry. Everything came out hot. All was good except the pineapple in their fried rice was spoiled. We brought it to their attention, and they corrected it right away. They explained it was canned so they're not sure how it could've been spoiled. We were unable to eat it. They made us a fresh new hot plate. They also brought us everything we requested like condiments and boxes. The lady was very nice about it. I couldn't hate on the place. It's just sad to see it dead compared to how it was before. The economy is really tough, and too expensive to dine out. The only one-off would be the spoiled food many because the food isn't circulating due to low demand. Anyway, the staff were very nice and polite though. We went here for a family dinner. The cuisine was Thai vegetarian. We ordered a curry, khao soi, pineapple fried rice, drunken noodles and a few appetizers. The food was good but not amazing and I've had better thai vegetarian elsewhere. The price for each dish is in the same range as other thai or vegetarian restaurants. Service was a little below fair. I would have liked them to come more often to refill the waters. We had a party of 7 so we were charged an automatic 20% service charge. We bought a cake with us and our own plastic utensils and plastic plates. We borrowed a knife from the restaurant. The restaurant did not let us know there would be a cake charge but they billed us for 7 dollars. The only service we needed from them for the cake was to borrow their knife and to dispose of 3 small palm sized paper plates. 2 stars - I've had better food and much better service. read more

The food at this restaurant is amazing to say the least. I've eaten at many Thai restaurants in my day, and this is surely in my top five. I've tried the Pad Se Ew with soy duck, Spicy Fried Rice with soy chicken, Pad Woon Sen with soy chicken, and Mango with Sweet Sticky Rice - all of which were phenomenal. The food is consistently flavorful, filling, and cooked perfectly. The soy duck and soy chicken are both very good. My only con is that the food is pretty pricey, but then again so are 99.9% of Thai restaurants in California. I recommend this restaurant to vegans and non-vegans alike. The dishes here are full of flavor, texture, and that comforting Thai balance of sweet, savory, and spice. The yellow curry hit all the right notes. It was fragrant, and loaded with crispy veggies that somehow still had that perfect crunch swimming in the sauce. Revisiting my review here, as I tried a couple of other items. I got the hot basil with tofu and it was pretty good, I would consider ordering again if I wasn't in the mood for drunken noodles. My husband had the larb this time and it was so good! Loved the seasoning and dressing on it. The faux duck bits were really crispy. I would definitely order this one for myself next time. The online ordering was quick and simple, and by the time I arrived, my food was ready to go. I loved that I could track my order and see when it was prepared. We went for the Pad See Ew with mock duck, and it did not disappoint! The mock duck was amazing--tender and full of flavor. We also tried the Thai Twin dish with mock shrimp and chicken in a sweet and sour sauce, served with veggies, pineapple, and cucumber. The mock chicken had a fantastic smoky flavor that really stood out, and the sweet and sour sauce was spot on, with the perfect balance of tanginess and sweetness, especially with the stewed fresh tomatoes. We loved Veganic! My wife and I started with the combo satay, which included tofu and vegan chicken satay. We eat loads of tofu and I expected to prefer that, but the vegan chicken had an even better texture. The satay sauce and cucumber chutney were so good, we kept the leftover sauce to eat with our rice and noodles even after we finished the combo satay. For main dishes, my wife had the kua noodles with steamed tofu and I had the pineapple fried rice with fried tofu. The kua noodles were well cooked with a very mild smoky flavor. Lots of carrots and big chunks of steamed tofu so we got some in every bite. The pineapple fried rice was full of pineapple and cashews, and the portion was huge. I had to add a lot of flavor in order to make it actually enjoyable to eat. I would give this place 3.5 stars, but I'm going to round up to 4 stars. Their food is always absolutely incredible, and I suspect the mock duck could fool an unsuspecting omnivore into thinking it was the real deal. I heard really good things about this place and I was really excited to try it. I've tried a vegan Vietnamese restaurant that I really enjoyed, so I couldn't wait to try a vegan Thai place. Parking can be difficult as it's street parking only. However, I found parking quickly right in front of the restaurant. You can place a togo order via calling or online. You can also dine in. I ordered the three flavors fish and my partner ordered the duck curry. I really enjoyed the three flavors fish. It was so delicious that even my partner started to eat my food. We basically inhaled that dish. The duck curry was just ok. The curry flavor was good, but the mock duck was hard and chewy. We both just weren't impressed with this dish. Honestly, I would give this place 3.5 stars, only because I wish it was more consistent. I would try this place if you're around the area. read more
