Parking at The Running Room is okay
    Irene M.

What's up dog...it's just amazing!! Veggie Dogs is found right at the corner outside of The Running Room on Kapahulu and yes you certainly can use The Running Room parking to swing by and grab a bite so there's no need to search the crazy area. On the menu are three items... #1 Reggi Dog (Ketchup, Mustard, Relish, Sauerkraut, Spicy Chili Mayo and Crispy Onion) #2 Surf Dog (Ketchup, Mustard, Relish, Lilikoi Mayo, Fresh Greens, Asian Crunch & Sesame Seeds) #3 Kimchee Dog (Ketchup, Mustard, Kim Chee, Sauerkraut, Hoisin Aioli, Fresh Greens, Asian Crunch and Sesame Seeds) AND Special Teriyaki Miso Dog (Ketchup, Mustard, Relish, Fresh Greens, Cabbage, Sliced Tomatoes, Teriyaki/Miso Sauce, Macadamia Nuts, Sesame Seeds) They had me at Lilikoi Mayo so it was the Surf Dog for me and this beauty is filled every nook and cranny was packed with flavor so much so that at the end of the bun that didn't have any dog left had so much flavor it didn't go to the birds...let alone I don't like relish I couldn't imagine having this without relish! With a loyalty card all you got to do is get nine dogs the 10th is on them is a breeze! Follow them on Instagram @veggidogs as this is an outdoor cart they be closed due to weather or even a catering event they will certainly keep you updated so that you're able to get your fix with the friendliest staff! I really do "Relish" Veggie Dogs ;-) Thank you!

I happened to be in town for an appointment and found this gem on Yelp. I had the teriyaki miso dog special and it was so yummy! I enjoyed all the toppings. The "hot dog" stand is located outside the Running Room store on Kapahulu Ave. They are there only on certain days but can also be found at the Kailua and KCC farmers market. You can check their Instagram page for hours. https://instagram.com/veggidogs?igshid=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ== I didn't catch his name, but the guy was so friendly too. Support small business!

I found Veggi Dogs at the KCC Farmer's Market and tried the Tofu Poke Dog. So good! Not only was it nice to have a solid vegetarian option at the market, but the food was delicious, there were lots of options, and the owner Chad is such a good dude. Definitely recommend.

Had one of their veggie dogs at Sunset on the Beach Magnum PI and it was terrific! Seasoned. So well! And looks so delicious! I feel so healthy and good eating one of these plant-based hot dogs. The texture was meaty but had not one bit of meat in it. I had the Kimchee version so every bite had a snap to it but I am looking forward to trying their other options soon!

My vegetarian husband hunted this place down after seeing the glowing reviews, and he was not disappointed! Creative toppings, and the dogs are loaded up. Great, friendly service too! This is definitely a spot worth stopping at for any vegetarian!

The hot dog had a coarse grind texture and a nice grill flavor. I had the reggie dog #1 and my wife had the surf dog #2. Superb. By far the best vegie dog i've had. Very few meat hotdogs are better. The soft serve was also good. The coconut flavor was nice and not artificial. They also have ube. Probably the healthiest food choice at the farmers market. And it seems small but we were satisfied all night.

We saw this stand outside of Runners Route on Kapahulu Ave and thought we'd give it a try. The 2 guys were really nice. We talked story while our dogs were being made. We ordered all 3 types to try them all out. In ranking order, I would recommend Dog #3, Kimchee dog, then Dog#1, then Dog #2.

    Chad the very cool owner!

The fish was perfectly crispy with fresh slaw and really creamy sauces. The tortillas for the tacos tasted very fresh too, which made them even better. Both entrées came with lemon wedges that added a nice bright touch. The fish and chips were great and the fries were perfectly crisp. I still think about the crème brûlée. The texture and caramelized top were spot on. Portions were generous as well. We were staying at a nearby resort so it was an easy walk for us. I read rave reviews on here for the fish tacos so I orderes them and they did not disappoint. The vegan sour cream is so creamy, thr coleslaw is perfectly tangy and crunchy, and the vegan fish is delightful. My husband got the chicken tacos which were hot, in contrast to the fish tacos. They had avocado and a green sauce and we also liked these though the fish were our favorite. The hibiscus lemonade was lovely and refreshing also. The service here is very fast. We basically ordered and then looked around at the other truck menus and by that time our food was ready! 4/10/26 single slice with a "twist"…read more I got to this location and it was fair that it be busy cause of the rain. I went around and looked at the 5offerings... it was easy for me to choose it had to be quick so I ordered at aloha by the slice. single slice with a "twist" I say twist cause initially I wanted Sausage and humbly the worker (Teddy M) expressed nicely that they didn't have sausage and I asked for ham... now remember I wanted the "single" slice with one"topping" and no sausage but ham was available. If many of you follow my reviews... I don't care for Hawaiian pizza.... The last Hawaiian pizza I had was at "Spitfire Grill" in the Dukes lane Market and that got 5stars BECAUSE- it had pork grinds on the Hawaiian pizza - which by the way is really delicious and I found it an epic addition to the pizza The reason for my 5stars this time is because Teddy decided that he give me a Slice of Hawaiian pizza that has the "Ham" & Pineapple on it.... Even when I asked for the single topping slice... he was perhaps going above and beyond ((there was an impending line in back of me)) so he choose to take the slice already made warm it in the wood fire stove then take it and cut in half.... He did this for the right person... me!!!! Happiness to hit one customer with a slice that had two toppings... I will add that I realized this may not go as well for other people... but if your one to understand the food service part of it then you get where my 5stars comes from... Thanks Aloha by the slice... I'll be going back again. (I'm still not a sucker for pineapple on my pizza)

After trying a couple of ice cream flavors, I chose the small ice cream size in a cup, which includes 2 scoops of ice cream. The flavors I chose were Tahitian vanilla and strawberry guava. The strawberry guava was like a refreshing sorbet. It is more on the sour side. I think the small ice cream being close to $10 is a bit steep, but it provided many good flavors for us to choose. I want to choose different flavors next time. I enjoyed sitting on the chairs outside while feeling the breeze.

The quality of the food has been consistent. It's a bit warm inside, but you'll find some good table areas that are cooler. I was disappointed by the service today, especially because there was less people between 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM when I went. The staff had automatically thrown in green onions and tempura flakes, which was not requested. They were just throwing in things without the usual ask they do. Especially, this hurt most when there was a rude lady staff passing out toppings. My family member had kindly requested for green onions a few times, and mind you again, we did not have a line when we entered in, but this lady snickered and ignored her request. I had to sternly request for green onions which eventually happened. The service should not be this way. This is an amazing restaurant, but the experience was utterly ruined from that service experience.

Everything was bursting with flavor! This is what we had: Starter salad from the seasonal menu of watermelon, strawberries, blueberries and greens served on a bed of yuzu infused goat cheese and drizzled with a shiso chimmichuri sauce. Yes, bursting with flavor! I would return for just this dish! Next shared was a tempura battered cauliflower served with a robust curry and yogurt reduction. Deeeelicious.
