I have always been a fan of Veggie Grill and have visited the Pasadena and hollywood locations. It was my first time at this vg and it wont be my last. I honestly had been afraid to go to any restaurants during this pandemic but the staff here was so nice to make me feel safe. Brianna was extremely helpful in explaining the menu to me and how I can even get awards through the app. There was another worker who packaged my order (I think his name was eddie on the sticker?) who was very kind. I haven't written any negative reviews until now but unfortunately, this Veggie Grill location is a big disappointment. We love Veggie Grill, but the crew at this store can't seem to get their act together. They got a to-go order wrong about 3 weeks ago. It's a new store so we decided to give them a second chance. Tonight, we went back for veggie burgers. The line was pretty long and it was disconcerting to see food sitting on the counter obviously ready but not getting delivered to tables, foreshadowing that we might have to wait for our food. We did. Sweet potato fries finally came to our table and the server promised our burgers would be right out. After another 15 minutes the rest of our food finally came. Pretty disappointed. I've been to other locations and it's been great. But tonight. No. They were busy. And that's fine. However, we waited over 20 minutes for 3 small plates. One was cold, one was wrong and the other was fine. The nachos came without cheese (weird) so we asked for cheese. They took it to the back and brought out another. With cheese and sour cream. My ticket specifically says no sour cream. Also ordered the "peaches and cream cake". Save your money. It was gross. Hardly any flavor and was pretty obvious it's a frozen treat that they thaw in the morning. You can just taste it. At this point I'm already annoyed. The people bringing out food to tables are constantly apologizing to everyone for the long wait. You can cut the tension in here with a knife. The manager refunded me for the nachos, she was pleasant about it. She even offered another meal. I just was over it at this point. This location was great when it first opened. But every time I order from there it gets worse. The food is literally thrown together. The burgers and sandwiches are a complete mess and the buns are cold and stale. Most annoyingly, last time I ordered from here on postmates, I ordered 2 desserts. NEITHER of them came In the order and they didn't inform me or ask me if I would like a refund. Instead they put 2 cards that were nearly expired in the bag for $5 off an entree that has to be used IN PERSON ONLY. During a time when we are all supposed to be quarantined due to the pandemic. I would have much rather have been refunded than be forced to spend MORE money there on their terribly made food. Ridiculous. read more

I love that the food is Vegan but most of the time the table are not cleaned every time we come here.

I find this place overrated and overpriced. The food isn't so good, it's bland and soggy. I have been vegetarian and vegan for very long and I know the diversity of flavors that this diet can bring and this restaurant doesn't do it any justice. read more

So many great vegan options in the area, but I'll always default to the place I know will have consistently great food and service. You honestly can't go wrong with any of the delicious options, but the Santa Fe burger with sweet potato fries is my jam. Top vegan option place! This place is amazing and they have many options. Definitely would recommend their Tacos don't remember the name of the specific one I got but it was the most popular one on the menu for tacos. The only other time I've had food from a Veggie Grill was three years ago in LA, so I was curious to stop back in. I ordered the Sante Fe chicken sandwich with a side of fries and a side of mac and cheese. The sandwich was an 8/10 with good flavor and portion size, but it would've been even better with the chicken being crispier and less soft. I really enjoyed their fries, and I got a side of their basil aioli and chipotle aioli to dip them in. The basil aioli was amazing, favorite part of the meal! Chipotle aioli was good but didn't have a super strong flavor. The mac and cheese, sadly, was a no go for me. It had a strange aftertaste, and while I know making vegan cheese taste like cheese isn't necessarily easy, I've had a variety of truly good vegan cheese with a cheese-like flavor, including some from "fast food" chain type restaurants, so I wasn't expecting it to taste nothing like cheese. The staff members were all very kind, by the way. I can't eat here often due to the price point, but it's a good option every once in a while when I want something quick and easy. read more

Passed by here last night and thought we would give it a try. First off, it's pretty small compared to most other Veggie Grill locations, but ordering was easy via touch screen or walk up counter, and the food came pretty quickly. We found a booth near the back of the restaurant, but was warned by the couple in the booth in front of us that they had seen a cockroach run under neath the table there. Not sure if they just wanted privacy or if it was legit, but we found another table that was clean. My wife ordered the pozole bowl, but the portion was very skimpy - only about a third of the bowl was filled. I had the Carne Asada burrito and it was good. Overall, the experience was "meh". It could be that this location is just working out the kinks in opening and has a few issues to sort through. I'll probably continue to frequent the Encino location, but I would give this location another chance. read more

We ordered a home delivery for the Sonoran Bowl and Quinoa Veg burger. While the burger was okay-ish, the Sonoran bowl was absolutely bland. I was so excited when Veggie Grill opened in Toluca Lake! I've been to several locations around town but this is by far my FAVORITE! The sales staff are EXCEPTIONAL on their customer service.
