I went to UC today around 5:30pm and was greeted by a very nice lady by the name of Nicole. She was sweet, kind, friendly, and helpful with a nice smile. She helped me decide what to get since I had my eye on a couple of different menu items and we came to an agreement. I got their Chicken Pesto Sandwich which came with sun dried tomatoes, Mozzarella Cheese, Arugula, & Vegenaise. (vegan mayo) and I also got their salmon salad that was filled with lots of good, healthy vegetables. The Salmon in the salad was glazed. Came with chopped salad mix, mixed greens, edamame, diced jicama, mango salsa, sesame seeds with dressing. Everything tasted super fresh & delicious!! One minus for me is that my chicken sandwich was VERY SALTY! Nicole said it was the bread, not the chicken. The lemonade that I chose was this tasty lemonade called AGUAFRESCA. A bit sweet, but I enjoyed it. They had 2 other flavors of lemonade: regular yellow & watermelon lemonade. Also different kind of fountain drinks/sodas, iced tea and bottled drinks infront of the register with 3 different kind of cookies for people like me who almost always have a sweet tooth. Place was cute, cozy, clean, had a nice patio, great vibes/music, ambiance, full of people eating inside and outside. I sat inside. They have great customer service! Nicole was great and the place was spotless clean, including their gender neutral restroom. Plenty of parking shared with other business at Noho West. We love Urbane Cafe. There needs to be more of them. The freshly made bread is so good that it almost doesn't matter what you put between it, you know it's going to be a solid sandwich. Even the salads, which are decent, come with a piece of bread, so everybody wins. The NoHo West location is perfectly fine. The small parking lot can turn into a madhouse when it gets busy, but it's a good spot to grab lunch, sit on the patio if the weather cooperates, then walk around NoHo West or hit Trader Joe's. We personally prefer the Burbank location because the parking is easier and the restaurant is bigger. Studio City location is closest to us, but somehow still our last resort. read more

I ordered the Baja bowl for me and my coworker ordered their salad "the cafe" Food was packed nicely and arrived on time for us to enjoy it. We've been coming here since they opened. They are very consistent whether it's for take out or if you eat there. The sandwiches are absolutely delicious, fresh, the bread is always baked there on the spot, the salads are also great. Don't miss out on the cookies, they bake it fresh (don't go to Crumbl next door, trust me it's better at urbane). The customer service is top notch, they keep the place nice and clean and they a great variety of sodas and juices. The only complaint I have would be the parking but that's not their fault. read more

Since writing my last review, I've ordered 4-5 more times: Protein bowl Couple different sandwiches Soup Cobb / Salmon / Ahi salads And... I always finish my meal hungry. This is not really a place to go if you are hungry after work, or to get your macros in after a workout because the portions are lightttt. I think it's worth stuffing those sandwiches a lot more, even if it means adding 50c to $1 to the prices. I'd be addicted if the chimichurri steak sandwiches were STUFFED. Yum. This was my first time here and they have some pretty "healthy" options. Maybe think of it as an upgraded Subway? The location we went to was nice and clean but the parking situation can be tough! It's in an expanded mixture of a strip mall and a mall I guess you would say. The cafe was nice and clean, the seating was comfortable and the food was delicious! The service is fast and the employees are friendly enough! They work fast so your food comes out in a timely manner! The portions aren't huge but normal sized which is fine and will fill you up with no problem! There's also a drink fountain with unlimited refills. As I said it was my first time so I only had the soup and a half of a sandwich but this place is definitely worth a look if you're in the neighborhood and hungry! read more

Enjoyed a quick brunch here with my girlfriend and a friend!!! We love Urbane Cafe and this branch delivered well. The sandwiches we got were the BBQ tri tip and I got the Santa Maria BBQ sandwich with the soup on the side instead of the salad. The soup I got was the enchilada and it was perfect for my throat since I was feeling sick a bit still. The soup was super hot and creamy delicious!!! The interior was clean and they took a while with delivering the food but it's because they had just opened when we came by!!! Two bathrooms but one was out of service. This place has grown on me so much! I went here for a yelp elite event several months ago and loved it so much it's become a regular spot. The steak chimichurri sandwich is just perfect. The meat texture and flavor in whatever you order is always amazing. I had the Baja bowl recently. After I ordered it I got scared, I was like damn maybe I should have gotten the old tried and true steak sandwich. But then when it came out and I took a bite I knew I had made a good decision. This is a good QUALITY and HEALTHY lunch spot. I tried the SALMON SALAD and it was delicious. Good dressing, good quality, and flavorful fish. The ingredients were finally chopped, so no awkward big bites were needed, which was good for a work setting. The portion was decent but my favorite part was that it came with a side of their homemade FOCCACIO bread. I saw that there was a discount on the chimichurri steak sandwich on uber eats so I decided to give it a try! I chose pickup as I was in the area and my order was done by the estimated time. the parking lot is pretty small and there are multiple businesses in the same plaza so finding parking was quite stressful. cars were waiting for people to leave and grabbed the spots right away. luckily, I found a spot but as I got in my car to leave, there was already someone waiting for my spot. there is a parking structure for the entire shopping area close by but it is not free after a certain amount of time (I'm not sure if it's an hr) I went inside and the worker was very helpful and went to grab my order from the pickup shelf (that I didn't see at first) for me! it was a small gesture but I thought that was very nice of him. it was a Tuesday afternoon (~3pm) and the place was somewhat empty. it is a large place so they had ample seating available inside and outside! moving onto the sandwich: the chimichurri steak was actually delicious! I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I did since the flavors sounded a bit unusual to me (cranberry chimichurri sauce & feta w steak??). after the first bite, I couldn't get enough and devoured the whole sandwich relatively quickly. it was extremely flavorful and everything went together really well! I was considering customizing the sandwich (removing feta and replacing the aioli with another one), but wanted to try it as originally intended and I am SO glad I did! only downside was the meat was a bit on the chewier side but I was fine with that as it's not a high end steakhouse. the side salad was small but I appreciated that it came with the sandwich. the vinaigrette was a bit overpowering at first but I ended up liking it as I ate more of it! overall solid meal and I would definitely be back to try their other items! read more

With everything happening in the political landscape, I had a REALLY hard day yesterday and was met with an intentional act of compassion from the most angelic young lady. I've never been to Urbane Cafe before but something told me to go in yesterday and I was met with the most radiant smile I've seen in a while. She asked how my day was going and all I could say was "shitty". I didn't really expect much after that and just wanted to grab my food and go. She then handed me a cookie and said "things will get better". I immediately started crying because that's all I wanted to hear. The warmness of how I felt walking into the restaurant that day will be engrained in my memory forever. The food was amazing, but the experience was priceless. I REALLY enjoyed coming here! I'm in the area and it was an extremely hot Saturday around noon and got parking right in front which is great. Urbane has great AC which is a relief on hot valley days! Additionally, this was my first customer experience after a Yelp perk in Agoura years ago and was excited to try it again. I chose the Mediterranean Bowl with chicken and I can't tell you how much I've been talking about it ever since! The mixture of the ingredients (with lemon on top) tasted so fresh on a hot day. The chicken was thinly sliced and pulled so the lightness of the protein was perfect to sustain me throughout the rest of the afternoon. Ordering is at the counter: if you dine-in, you receive a table number, choose your own table and your order is brought to you. If you order a drink, there's a wonderful soda machine to custom make your soda. I haven't had a Shirley Temple in years and was so happy it was an option (yay)! My companion loved his Steak sandwich and handcrafted lemonade by the way. We noticed all the take-out happening at the to-go shelves so word has caught on. We always like this place! We ordered from them during COVID and there were no issues at all. Pricing to portioning and food quality hasn't changed even after the shutdown. Hot, fresh and delicious. I'm in LOVE with their Balsamic Vinaigrette. I always order the Ahi Tuna Salad and always have their Balsamic Vinaigrette with it. I'm sure the Sesame Dressing is delicious but with their vinaigrette, I feel you can dip anything in it and it would be tasty! We also ordered their Cafe Salad and it, too was fresh and filling! Their Focaccia bread appears to be fresh baked and is always soft and fluffy yet light and crispy on the outside. Great for eating sandwiches or dipping in that vinaigrette.
