    Nashville hot chicken sandwich
    Emily A.

I was a very hungry girl and wanted a breakfast sandwich. My first stop had been a no go and then I discovered Bruxie on my Yelp search. I saw the reviews and photos and I knew I just had to stop by. Thankfully I had read the review about parking because it can definitely be confusing. Parking is street parking and a short walk to the restaurant. I did see a lot up ahead when I initially turned in the driveway but the sign looks like it's meant for a different business. I found parking right before Weddington and walked to Bruxie. On my way a shady character started following me and speaking to me and I power walked to the restaurant to get away. As I turned the corner I was greeted by friendly staff. There is someone behind the window to take orders but also someone outside the window able to take orders as well. After looking at the menu I orderd the Nashville hot chicken sandwich with a side of waffle fries, and also a breakfast burrito with a side of tots (that I planned to eat tomorrow morning). I paid and then waited in the shade of the outdoor seating which has allot of shade and it's a nice area to sit. My food was ready in maybe 15 to 20 minutes and then I walked back to my car as I had to get to my next destination. Unfortunately that shady man was waiting for me and when I rounded the corner he acted like he was ignoring me but then he started following me again!!! I ended up taking advantage of my long legs and I did a long legged power walk back to my car leaving him in the dust. People saw me walking so fast with such long strides and were looking at me like I'm crazy. When I looked back the man was still walking my way staring straight at me but thankfully he can't walk fast to catch up to me. The point of me writing about this is to be careful on this street, keep your eyes on your surroundings and do not get distracted staring at your phone. On my way driving to my destination I started nibbling on the waffle fries and they were so perfect! I don't know how to explain the puffy crunch that comes with them as you bite down. So perfectly crispy yet soft! I then decided to try the tots and they are perfection too! The perfect amount of spice that gives a hint of spicy but it's not overwhelming. I wasn't planning to eat both the fries and the tots but before you know it I arrived at my destination and both were in my belly! I then ate the Nashville chicken sandwich, absolutely delicious and generous portion, I love the taste again spicy but not overwhelming, it was perfect. My only wish is that the chicken could have been a thicker piece of chicken but it was a thin long piece. Other than that it definitely hit the spot. I am looking forward to eating my breakfast burrito tomorrow morning!

We stopped at Bruxie for lunch on our way to Central Library in DTLA. It was easy enough to find on Lankershim as we turned from Magnolia. Where to park wasn't clear to us but it didn't take long to find free street parking a short walk away on Weddington. Ordering at this location is through a walk up window. However today it was fully occupied by a team member handling pick-up orders. There was another team member who seemed to be taking orders as customers walked up, but was also helping with pick ups. This was a bit confusing so we just waited until someone approached us which didn't take long. The husband chose the Bruxie SmashBurger (+ egg), opting to make it a combo with Waffle Fries and soda. I had the Chicken & Waffles. It all came out pretty quickly. The husband said his SmashBurger was fresh, flavorful and perfectly prepared. He loved the waffle fries. My chicken tenders were nicely fried, moist on the inside and seasoned well. The waffle was light and crisp. It all came together with the whipped butter and pure maple syrup -- so good! Service was great. Team members checked on us and refilled drinks. I do appreciate that they have packs of moist towelettes easily available for customers.

    Kickin' "Nashville" Hot Chicken Sandwich

My better half and I have walked past Bruxie for the longest time, always telling ourselves that we'll try them one day but never giving them a chance. Thankfully we finally caved in because we've been sleeping on this place for years! It's located off of Lankershim Blvd & Academy Way, basically next to the Laemmle Noho 7 and the Saban Media Center. Bruxie was kind of hard to gauge on how to order - there's a walk-up window for ordering and pick-up orders, but employees can also walk right up to you and place your order for you. You can also order online ahead, so yeah slightly confusing but as long as you put your order in you're golden. They have four big tables outside along with counter seating on the sidewalk. If it gets too hot or cold, they also have seating inside an old train car that is purely counters only. We sat inside the train car, but the only caveat is that people are constantly going in/out and they sometimes leave the door open. They also have a water station inside the train car if you want to cool off. My wife and I both ordered the Kickin' "Nashville" Hot Chicken Sandwich and we shared the Loaded Waffle-Cut Fries. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time - if you're dining there, the employees bring out your food wherever you are and provide plastic utensils along with sauces. The hot chicken sandos live up to their namesake, packing quite a kick! The loaded waffle fries hit the spot. If you're in NoHo looking for some good chicken & waffles, Bruxie will satisfy! We can't wait to come back and try more of their menu! They're open late too if you have some late night cravings (they close at midnight Thurs, Fri & Sat). There's street parking or you can park at the garage of the Saban Media Center.

The food here is simply good! I think it's fresh, tastes great, and definitely satisfies chicken cravings. What really sets this place apart for me is the level of service. The staff is SO nice and they make you feel like a person and not a transaction. Kudos to the people who help ring you out up front. Then there is eating in a little train car. I love that repurposed parts of our past exist in our built environment and can be used to make our communities feel unique.

It's a cozy spot and fun music was playing from the loud speakers. I love that there's opportunity to play games. There was Connect Four, Jenga, and some other games present. It's a nice spot to hang with a group of friends. The service was good. The workers were very friendly. The food that I had was just okay. I had the Green Goddess Grilled Chicken Salad. It definitely looked better than what it actually tasted like. It definitely needs more seasoning. Once salt and pepper were added to it, the salad tasted a little better. The chicken was good in it though. I also had the dessert item, Lemon Cream & Berries. It was pretty yummy. The waffle had a buttery taste. The lemon cream was tasty and the fruit was delish. I'm not sure that I would frequent this spot, but would be open to trying other things on the menu.

Excellent grilled chicken sandwich and $5 custard cup. Next time, instead of the waffle fries, I'll do unseasoned tots. Will come again. Service was friendly and everyone as super helpful and nice.

I have tried their jumbo tenders and their chicken and waffles. This is more of a pick up kind of a place. There are places to sit but it seems most people take their food to go. Their jumbo tenders are solid. I have had them unseasoned, original seasoning, and hot honey. All are delicious. The tenders are moist. Don't let the name fool you. The size are a lil smaller than your typical hot chicken places. Their sauces seem to be mostly based around mustard. Their Bruxie sauce is my favorite. I've had better chili honey sauces from other places. They don't have the typical comeback sauce. I also enjoy their waffle fries. I will take waffle fries over regular fries any day. I love their chicken and waffles. Their waffles are light, soft and crispy. They are so good! My kids love them too. It comes with 2 jumbo tenders. Make sure to ask for Bruxie sauce because it only comes with maple syrup. Definitely recommend!

"THE ORIGINAL with a side of waffle fries and the STRAWBERRY "PALMER"
    CB C.

From the moment I walked up to the walk-thru window and was greeted with the warmest welcome by Juan, to the time I was seated on the sunny patio (with ample shade) and met with a refreshing strawberry "Palmer," to when I received my "Original" chicken sandwich with a side of waffle fries and hot honey sauce, everything tasted delicious! Juan provided 5-star customer service and was very knowledgeable walking me through the entire menu. Also, there's plenty of seating inside and outside. I would highly recommend Bruxie to my fellow Angelenos.

Gorgeous interior, once a train car!

I've passed over Bruxie many times for the Dave's Hot Chicken all of 200 feet away on Lankershim but tonight? I decided to give Bruxie its due. I was greeted by two nice enough young women loitering about the order window and after asking what they recommended and liked the most, I ordered a two piece tenders combo meal with waffle style fries. I go inside to wait for my food and that's when I got the wonderful surprise, that being that the Bruxie folks have restored and renovated an old 1950s train car and repurposed it into a classy diner counter. It's spotless and beautiful. Let the pictures speak for themselves though they don't do it all justice and you just have to go order something yourself and find your way inside... On to the food! The chicken tenders are HUGE. The batter looks to be a dark brown, not oily at all, and the tenders are truly thick with batter. It's hot when you bite in and get access to the beautiful and moist chicken flesh. Love the breast meat and how the tender is on the inside. The batter is a tad too salty for my taste and I'd prefer to be able to discern some of the herbs that comprise it but it's really a singular note. Good, but not mind blowing. I'm not a fan of the Bruxie sauce as it's trying to do too much. It's like honey mustard in that manner and I've always preferred honey on some things and mustard on others. I prefer smokey aioli sauces like you get at Caine's which, like Dave's, is also just on down the street. The ranch dressing dip is better for me on the chicken but could use a tweak too as it's too thin. The waffle fries are nice but when the platter arrived and I set to them? They were room temperature. Like they'd been sitting under a heat lamp and were not fried at the same time as the chicken was... by the way, I suspect that the chicken had been fried before I ordered it and then they just refried it in a flash to ready it up for me. All in all the food is good and I'll come back for a fried chicken sando and a shake as they looked delicious.

This is my first time ordering from Bruxie; I had heard so much about them, especially their waffle sandwiches Today I took advantage of their specials buy one get one free and it was a breakfast burrito Really good but a little too spicy for me although I had called and she told me did the chipotle, mayo, and the tater tots were not that spicy I should have deleted those two items I will know next time for sure to delete the spicy items Their breakfast burrito is delicious. It's toasted and have eggs, cheddar cheese tots, and chicken sausage...really good. Otherwise, paid $24 for both burritos since it was buy one get one free Next time, I'll try there waffle sandwich

    Get in my mouth :)

Loved the Bruxie. Great food; those waffle sandwiches, no matter what you get, end up hitting the spot. Especially if you request a little spice for your chicken and add a little syrup to your waffle, it's a whole different taste to your taste buds that you did not know existed. My favorite thing about this particular Bruxie is the staff here went above and beyond to attend to us. Constantly checked in on us, offered us refills, and brought us condiments and napkins. Every 5 minutes or so they would ask if we were good. It was better service than I recieve at higher end restaurant and this is just more or less a fast food spot. The staff went above and beyond, and for that they deserve their kudos. Now if they can only work on those waffle fries, they defently need some help there. Oops.

delivery showed up late AND my breakfast burrito had not one, not two, but multiple hard chewy plastic-y pieces hiding in there.. second bite and i'm already doing forensics on my food. I had no choice but to toss the whole thing and that hurt my soul AND my wallet.

First time trying Bruxie in North Hollywood and it was delicious! Our server was the nicest ever and brought us everything we could need: napkins, wet naps, water and quick service and updates on the food. The trolley car ambiance really adds an extra something too. Try them out they're a delicious and cool lunch spot in the neighborhood

One of the seasonal specials is the Martha which is an upgraded version of chicken salad (Tarragon chicken salad, apples, shaved fennel, arugula, basil, lemon, garlic aioli on grilled Ciabatta, $16) which sounded pretty good. I placed the order online and headed over to this busy section of Studio City. Street parking can be tricky especially in the afternoon, and there are 'parking ticketers' out in force. This was my first time here at this location, but they had a handy takeout window at the one end, and a friendly guy handed me the bag. As for the food, I could only eat half of the sandwich; one reason is because it was a Lot of sandwich and second, I didn't really enjoy this for the most part (I did give the other half to a hungry co-worker who did like it). Then my favorite part, the cookies. I ordered two orders (two come in an order) so I had four to enjoy. The first bag was a decent sized pair of cookies, but they shafted me on the second order. This was basically one cookie cut to make two which was clearly noticeable compared to the other order. I was too far to return these but next time, it's something I will check on before leaving. I didn't have this problem the first time I came here (even though it was a different location) but as for anything, I recommend checking your order prior to leaving. Otherwise, I will be returning to Ggiata but maybe for a classic Turk or Antonia, or even the arancini side-

These sandwiches come out piping hot, wrapped tight and ready to go. Crack them open and you're hit with perfectly cooked eggs and an almost ridiculous amount of gooey, melted cheese. Not skimpy, not balanced, loaded in the best possible way. The Kaiser roll deserves its own shoutout: lightly toasted with just enough crunch on the outside while staying soft and pillowy inside. I wasn't the only one--there were several delivery drivers waiting as well, and they were also being ignored while completed orders sat on the counter. When I politely pointed out that I had already been waiting a long time and that my order was ready, the employee still refused to hand it to me. Instead, I was left waiting even longer for no apparent reason. This was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. The staff needs to communicate better, treat customers and delivery drivers with respect, and hand out completed orders as soon as they are ready. This experience was a complete waste of time, and I will not be returning.
