I'm updating my review because the last review was during Covid and focused on their Covid protocol and management. Since then I eat here regularly and quite love the food and the team of people there so this review is focused on that. This is consistent, healthy , delicious food with lots of options. I'm a huge fan of the Ahi Tuna Plate - which I get cooked well-done instead of seared and I love their salads so I get the Arugula salad and the Spinach salad as my sides. Flavors are great - very satisfying lunch or dinner option. Also love all the new menu items they have -- they keep the menu fluid and seem to add new things a lot so there are always new things to try. I love the Falafel - and I'm picky about my Falafel. Also, the braised beans are very tasty. Their beverage options are plentiful -- green juice, mint lemonade, a couple different kinds of iced tea, sodas and they have beers as well (according to my friend: "good ones"). The team they have in there right now is LOVELY, kind, friendly, fast and really welcomes you. Plenty of free parking, which is always nice. Located on the 2nd level with an elevator, an escalator and stairs so access options for all! :) I go here several times a month for a quick bite and Tender Greens always delivers. So they've gotten past their Covid failure and turned into one of my Studio City staples. Also, it's not a fancy place, but their second floor location, provides sort of a nice view of Ventura Blvd and the mountains in the distance. I like going in and sitting there for a bite. Tender Greens is definitely one of my favorite places for healthy food made with real, natural ingredients. Everything is usually very fresh and flavorful. I love that you can easily choose a wholesome meal here -- mashed potatoes, baked or roasted potatoes, soups, salads -- there are plenty of balanced options. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. There's plenty of seating inside, plus a nice outdoor patio. Prices are reasonable, portions are moderate, and overall it's a great spot for a healthy, satisfying meal. Today we tried the grilled salmon salad. It was a bit too spicy for my taste, and the seasonal vegetables were quite salty. The last time we had them they were perfect, so maybe it was just a small inconsistency today. I'll definitely be back. read more

Tender Greens is my go to when I want a hearty healthy salad {1050 calories}. The pacific salmon bowl is The Best! They put a nice char on the salmon skin. You get the tangy green salad with those pickled cucumber slices! The sushi rice is perfectly cooked!! And to top it off with the semi-spicy miso mayo!! {Chef's kiss}. I am so excited to find this place. I had the steak with mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. The meat was perfectly cooked how I requested and delicious. A variety of sides are offered, finally a place that offers healthy vegetables for those of us that like meat AND vegetables. The vegetables were more seasoned than I would have preferred but I like things more plain. The green drink filled with cucumbers tumeric and other healthy additions was so good. Excellent customer service. Mace was so helpful, friendly, kind, and all around wonderful! I look forward to trying their salmon, shrimp, chicken, and salads. It's so nice to find a place that serves this kind of wholesome food at more reasonable prices than a traditional sit down restaurant. The ambiance is nice too. The salmon plate was delicious with a side of mashed potatoes and baby greens. I loved so much the mash it was buttery, smooth and delicious. The baby greens was fresh and the dressing was very good. I wish maybe the salmon was a tad bit more flavorful but it was cooked perfectly and a nice portion. Green juice was also good and a lot! Didn't except 2 servings. read more

I give them four stars for the comfort level of the seating area, the variety of healthy foods, the abundance of parking, and the pleasant service. I took one star off because the food, while delicious, was in very small portions. I got salmon for $21.25 and it was just a few bites. From what I'm reading, the portions used to be larger. I know everything is super expensive now, but that small piece of fish wasn't worth the money. read more

They have sandwiches, bowls, plates and salads. So when you come in you place your order at the counter , get your number they bring out your food and enjoy. The salad was delicious! They lettuce was crisp, tomatoes perfectly ripe, cucumbers, plentiful and topped with the Salmon, perfect! The dressing was light and not over powering. I imagine this a great lunch/dinner spot . Tl;dr: I'm at this location a few times weekly, and have watched it steadily improve over the years. @ownership: Israel is a major reason quality+morale have gone up at this location. He is great on the line and with customers. Having him here has made a huge difference, man can cook! Josue is doing a very, very good here. Your staff is motivated, food is coming out consistent andnfast, overall experience is excellent and neighborhoody, not corporate. Decided to stop by TG for dinner. Haven't eaten at this place in a while. Loved the updated menu. The food continues being fresh and flavorful as expected. The cashier was friendly and welcoming and although the restaurant didn't have too many people sitting down to eat, there was a lot of foot traffic from take out orders. The table seating ranged from booths to stools and high tables. For my dinner I decided to create a plate with chipotle chicken, a spinach salad with the dressing on the side and roasted vegetables. My husband got the buttermilk fried chicken, roasted fingerling potatoes and roasted vegetables. Each plate comes with a ride of crispy toast. It had been a while since I had been to this location but my friend wanted to meet for lunch. It was on my way home, so it worked out very well. We both got pretty much the same thing: *Seared Tuna Plate (grilled rare with sea salt & herb oil) -I got it with Baby Greens & Sherry Vinaigrette and Seasonal Vegetables (Grilled Corn, Baby Sweet Peppers, Petite French Green Beans, Summer Squash, Green Zucchini) -The Tuna was perfect and hoad such a wonderful flavor. The Veggies seemed a little to oily but still tasty. -She got it with Seasonal Vegetables (Grilled Corn, Baby Sweet Peppers, Petite French Green Beans, Summer Squash, Green Zucchini) and Brown Rice I also used the Yelp Check In offer to get a Green Juice. It was very quiet inside so service was easy and quick. The only downside is that this place has gotten quite expensive. I can go to another quick service that is similar and get something almost identical for about $5-$7 less. Parking is easy and free which is a major perk. read more

Honestly, the best nicoise salad I've had at a tender greens in a long time was at this location. The manager Josue was very affable and very generous. It's in a cool location near Fryman Canyon so you can get your grub on before you work out. The seating outside is nice and the inside plays very good music. read more

I ordered the Thai bowl with steak, my steak was a bad cut, lots of fat covered by sauce and very chewy, I had to spit it out onto my napkin. The salad was drenched in a very VERY sour sauce and the rice was cold and drenched in vinegar. The whole dish was an assault on my mouth by acid! None of the delicate balance of a proper Thai dish. The best thing about this location was the professionalism of the counter hostess who took my order. She was very detailed and even repeated my order to me for accuracy. Now on to the food. I ordered salt&pepper plate for my wife and fried chicken plate for me. Both plates both chickens were extremely dry and the fried chicken would instantly give you high blood pressure with all the salt they put on it. I haven't had Tendergreens in about 2 years and this is definitely not the food I remember. I spent $40 only to feed my trash. Very disappointed customer. I used to love this location but it's horrible now. Do not order from here! I can not eat steak cooked all the way through. I have digestive issues and the last three times I've ordered from here they have sent me well done steak. This is absolutely absurd to not even get it right at least once out of the last three times I've ordered. Rare and medium rare is what I order and pictured below is what they send me. This goes beyond a training issue and makes me severely question the cleanliness and other aspects of the restaurant when they can't even deliver consistently and properly prepared food.
