He chuckled patronizingly and said "yeah well we close in an hour so you'll have to bring it back tomorrow." Even after letting him know that I had limped the vehicle to his shop, and that it had died multiple times along the way - he turned to me, said "don't forget to close that hood" and then walked away. When a business owner exercises a lack of prudence in keeping their business hours adequately updated, the community which they serve suffers the most. Despite Nesloney coming well recommended from a neighbor, they have since agreed that they will not be coming back here. I'd admonish every person reading this review to save yourself time, money, and a headache and just taking your vehicle somewhere that treats you with dignity and appreciates your business, and I can assure you that Nesloney Auto Repair is not it.

I was advised by Eric it was my starter and was quoted $800. to replace it. ($425 for the part and $375 for labor) I was also advised he would have to keep the car and it wouldn't be ready until noon the following day. Having replaced a starter before myself, I left and advised the shop that I was going to get a second opinion. I pulled in to an auto repair shop down West Ave and asked them what they would charge to replace my starter and was quoted $385. ($295 for the part, $95 for labor) I left my car with them at 3pm and it was ready by 4:30pm. I told my family and friends about the gouging attempt by Nesloney Auto and it is no longer a business they or I would recommend. Buyer beware!!

First of all, 1996 F250's only have a cutout in the bumper for one lamp so weren't even built to support two. Secondly, Texas Department of Public Safety Section 20.18 SubSec. 2c specifically states "Only one lamp is required" to pass inspection. This was verified on the "What's Inspected" list for trucks from DPS as well. Though this shop gets high rating my first visit was not positive and probably won't go back. That's unfortunate because I had a few small items that needed fixed and thought I'd have them done here to support a local business.

Rodrigo calls me late Friday to tell me he thinks it's the alternator shorting but wants to a full charge on the battery over night to make sure. Saturday he calls me to say it is the alternator but the root cause is the water pump, which is leaking and spraying the alternator. Monday night we picked it up - perfect, full explanation/demonstration of what he found, and reasonably priced work. We're not going anywhere else from here on out.

UPDATE 7/30/26: I had purchased a used car 66k miles great condition a Vw for around 13k. Thought I received an awesome deal. LESS THAN 24 HOURS the car started going into "limp mode" and several light came on while driving on the highway. The next day I take it back and they said they'd look at it. Took them a week to just get the lights back on to get the code and they said it was a bad ABS module. It was replaced reprogrammed and I go on my merry way. A COUPLE DAYS later the car starts shaking. It can't be the tires because they are BRAND SPANKIN' new. They diagnose it say the tires are hard and they need soft tires I can buy but they balance the tires and say well it's just gonna shake. Couple days later the car goes into "limp mode" AGAIN WITH THE SAME LIGHTS so I go straight over there and they take it. Now they say that module was defective but it would cost $5000 to fix it but it wouldn't be a guarantee that it would be completely fixed. I'm of the part was defective then why isn't it another easy fix. Honestly the combination of problems means Engine, computer, even BallJoint problems and I have a very good suspicion I was being lied to. The whole time from the very first problem it was a COMPLETE struggle to get a hold of any update on the car because no one else but one manager and one service person knew what was going on. I had to STRUGGLE to get the updates I needed even though I was told I would be updated! I kept being passed to everyone and their mother to talk to someone and no one knew. Meanwhile the ONLY one helping me try to get info or find info for me was the sales person Kris K. I had to physically show up to the dealership to get any answers and told repeatedly no matter what I would be "taken care of" I would receive an update and call first thing in the morning. THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN. I AGAIN had to call repeatedly over the afternoon so I could finally talk to the manager Joe. Again I was told I'd be taken care of! But he can't just focus on me he has to take care of other customers and I should only need to talk to Kris and he should be doing everything(how can a sales person find anything out about a service thing he has no authority to even find anything why would it be his job to do a managers duty and communicate everything between different departments) He proceeds to tell me over and over again he can't speak for anyone else why I didn't receive the updates on the car. HE'S THE MANAGER! All he did was talk circles and put down his sale person. So I had to go the dealer again to see what my options are. GUESS WHAT!? He made the sales person go through other cars with me WITHOUT telling me what kind of deal they can offer or anything like that. He repeatedly tried to push me into a Ford escape Titanium and sure it was a great year and good miles but I would have to pay more money for a car that states on the car fax it had an OPEN RECALL. While I sat there CRYING FROM FRUSTRATION he doesn't even acknowledge me. After that he didn't check up once not once to see what deal or anything about "taking care of me" because again he told me he has to take care of other customers. I was there for hours THERE WERE NO OTHER CUSTOMERS. I AM SO UPSET AND NOT "TAKEN CARE OF." THEY SOLD ME A BAD CAR AND HAVE BEEN A STRUGGLE TO DEAL WITH. THIS WAS A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I hope to receive a call from the GM John to see what can be done with the situation but I have no hope and low low low expectations he will call me. Typical I left a negative review of Greg's work on my 57 chevy and he deleted it so here I go again…read morethis place was for convenience plus I have seen a few classic cars there as I drove by a few times and spoke with him about his love and ownership of classics he has personally (which he probably owns from scamming the customers like me) I took my bel air to him and the new parts for everything to be installed said a quote of $1999.00 and a week which unfortunately turned into nearly $3000 and 14 days since they are only open M-THURS which is very bizarre in itself after the second day he called and said my new suspension parts don't fit called the company where purchased got greg on the phone turns out they were doing it wrong (should have gotten the hell out of there then) figured simple mistake then I get a call that my rear disc brakes are wrong got then on another call turns out greg was wrong again then they wanted to drop the engine to run brake lines way off base again to the point of being called down right crazy!!!! Got it back engine making strange noises not going to drive it till a real professional takes a look at it next month in San Antonio men that live breathe and own TRI- FIVE cars.
