Don't go here at all. 330 pm and the lady at front desk is eating a bake potato and acting as if we are disturbing her. Also was told that they don't use original factory equipment from dealer parts store. You must use aftermarket parts. She says owner said so. She declined to use the parts I had from the dealer with a attitude. read more

Do yourself a favor and drive right by this establishment. Dropped my wife's car off here on a Sunday night so they can look at a check engine light and to diagnose the problem. Get a call the next day and they tell me they couldn't figure out what was wrong with the vehicle. Ok fine, we'll take it somewhere else to have someone diagnose it. When we go to pick up the vehicle there's a big dent on the drivers door that was previously not there. We go in to talk to them and they pretend to have no idea what happened and say they're going to have to look over the video. We made a police report and the officer was going to return later to go over the video. When he shows up they tell him that they had a deal worked out where they were going to fix the door for us and we were good to go. So the officer never saw the video. When we asked about it they said there was no video of the incident. Implying the video system was not working. Probably more lies... so we talk to them and decide to have them fix the door. Again we drop off the car on a weekend and a few days later they call and say it's done. We go to pick it up and wouldn't you know it's the most shoddy door repair possible. Molding on the side was still bent. The window on the dent door makes a horrible popping noise when you raise and lower the window. There's big gaps in the window rubber piece so rain or snow can get in and start rusting our door. They painted over the keyholes. ALSO... now two of the windows will not go up or down anymore. Also not a problem before hand. Go in to talk to them about new issues and was told they are done working on the car and if you want to press it further to take them to court. Awesome! What a stand up company. To reiterate.. brought the car in for a check engine light. Ended up with a big dent in the car and windows that don't work. That were previously not a problem with the vehicle. Obviously they accepted blame for the dent in vehicle because they offered to "fix" the door. If that's what you can call it. And now I have to either go through my insurance and pay deductibles and risk higher monthly cost. Or just deal with it how it is. Take this info and do with it what you thinks best. I know I'm never going back to them for anything ever again. read more

This review is really for the receptionist. I came in at 9:40 to get an oil change and she quoted me about an hour and a half wait. Cool, no problem. 11:15 comes and I asked what's taking so long and she said "There are other cars ahead of you that needs more done than just an oil change. Give it about another 30 minutes". Im typing this review at 12:34 as I'm still fucking waiting for an oil change. Terrible service! read more

I received terrible service I took my car in for broken caliper I got the car back and the noise that the wheel made was worse than it was before I bought it in.The manager was condescending and said the brakes were fine! My son in law bought the car back up there and the manager said leave it and he will check it out, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone read more

people need to ensure they have situational awareness with their vehicle. I had a good experience with this shop. They evaluated my car and were truthful as to the repairs required. My subframe was cracked and they brought this to my attention. They could have been dishonest, fixed my breaks and sent me on my way. This issue was a hazard waiting to happen. Take the time to talk with the mechanics and get references for any repair facility that you are considering. I can only speak for my experience. I plan on going back. read more

They actually deserve 0 stars...Yesterday me car started making loud noises, sounding like there was a problem in the exhaust system. .The mechanic checked my car out & told me it was the catalyst converter, & it will cost $150..I immediately called my boyfriend who said alot of muffler/exhaust places LIE about problems w/the catalyst converter to cut urs off sell it for a big profit then sell u a cheap one..2 make a long story short, we went 2 Valesquez on stony island who informed me I only needed a hood 2 cover the catalyst converter for $35!!!..beware of this place on 8 3rd there's no telling how many ppl have been ripped off.. read more

1 star is too much for them. They are very expensive, overpriced and they do the worst brake jobs ever. No matter no matter what the problem is they're going to tell you that you need more than what is expected of your car. Every car seems to need calipers when they don't. I took my car now for brake job and they come telling me I got $2,000 worth of work that was needed not knowing that I had just took my car to the dealership and all I needed WA a brake job. They told me I needed front brakes, back brakes, calipers and that they wouldn't do it without calipers. So I did the back brakes and did the calibers. I came back a month later did the front brakes and the car started sounding worse than what it did before. Took it back that next week. Supposedly, they tried to fix it. He didn't even want to do a test drive to hear what was hearing. Then he wanted to disregard it. Afterwards, it sound worse than what they did the first time the second time. I even got pulled over by the police and the manager told me that I was lying. That no police officer would never pull you over because your brakes were sounding too loud. But that's exactly what happened. I complained to the Better Business Bureau I told everybody I know. I would not recommend them to anyone. They don't even do certain jobs during the week like oil jobs. Then he tried to tell me I needed to get back struts done and that it was leaking. That wasn't true because as I said earlier, I had already went to the dealership. So I have my brother's friend from the police station checked it out. He works for the police station on their cars and he said that these people are shysters and that they just gyp people; particularly women any which way that they can. They will tell you that they're fixing on your car and they are not. Unless you are standing there and watching them do what they're supposed to do, they're just taking your money. When I came up there the second time to have them do replace my brakes because they were sounding too loud, they had removed the sign saying we accept credit cards and put up that a credit card machine was broken because they knew that a lot of people would call the credit card company and ask for a stop payment. So they started taking cash only. That's how you know you dealing with people who are not about they business. They do some shady work. Come find out, my calipers were never replaced. I WISH I COULD POST THIS REVIEW WITHOUT A STAR BECAUSE THEY DON'T DESERVE IT!!! My boyfriend took my car here for a quote and when I took my car back for the work to be done, the customer service I received from the manager was horrible. I called on a Monday, identified who I was and asked to make an appointment for the coming Thursday. The receptionist put me on hold and came back and told me to be there at 8a on Thursday morning to ensure that the work could be completed the same day. So I get there on Thursday at 8a and I was turned away by the manager, Ivan. He tells me to come back at 10a because they are shoveling the parking lot from the snow that fell the night before. That was the first thing that upset me. If you own a business that opens at 8a, you should be OPEN for business at 8a. If it snowed the night before, you may need to arrive early and shovel snow, not turn away your customers when they arrive. So I left and came back at 10a. When I arrived I went to check in with the receptionist and she took my quote and wrote up my ticket. She then tells me that I have to leave my car overnight because they can't get the part until 3p in the afternoon which won't leave them enough time to complete the work that day. So now I am very bothered because I should have been told that I need to leave my car overnight when I called on Monday. If it was a requirement to make a deposit to order the part for my car before I arrived on Thursday, I should have been told on Monday. I understand that the business may need to ensure that they aren't wasting money on parts etc and the individual may not show up for their repairs. But, I would have ordered my part or gave a deposit if that was necessary. When the receptionist gave me this information, I asked to speak to the manager Ivan. He was very rude and disrespectful. He didn't care that I had been inconvenienced because he and his staff had not communicated properly. He shrugged his shoulders and walked away. I will NOT use this company for my car repairs. They don't take customer service seriously and they don't appreciate their customers. Since they don't value me they don't deserve the $1,150 I was going to pay for the repairs. I will take my business somewhere else. Beware when doing business with Velasquez & Sons and of Ivan the nonchalant manager. read more
