There was very little on the menu to choose from, and what was on the menu was all the exact same thing with small differences. The service was the absolute opposite of prompt, the food tasted like there was no care put into it and a middle schooler could've made it better in their moms kitchen. Not to mention the $10 "smoothie" that was slimy, and was left out on counter for well over 20 minutes and wasn't brought to us we had to go get it ourselves. Service is always so friendly and prompt. There is seating on the front patio, inside, and on the back patio they have some more covered seating and a yard. Inside, you'll find a mix of tables and comfy chairs and a small electric fireplace. They offer all your favorite hot and cold beverages: from coffee to tea to espresso and smoothies. My 10$ smoothie tasted like water with chunks of spinach. I asked if they could make it with milk instead of water and they told me it wouldn't be good, but i doubt any smoothie could be worse than what they gave me. Our blueberry muffin was completely flavorless and raw inside. It's cramped inside and not at all worth the insane prices. read more

Friendly, healthy and looks to be a local factory. Stopped in and we split a breakfast burrito with quinoa, egg, sausage, beans, corn and Swiss. Came with a salad. They split it for us. Wonderful presentation and incredibly delicious. The traffic alone should give this place 5 stars. Almost forgot, fresh brewed coffee 2 thumbs up. What a great place! Saw it on the way to a hike and decided to stop for coffee. To my surprise almost half their baked goods were gluten free! Hard to choose but got the choc chip cookie. Got my husband the last chocolate peanut butter avocado brownie since it is gf and also dairy free (he's allergic to both). They were both so good and they said all their food is from scratch! We got almond milk lattes too which were tasty with the treats. The owners (husband and wife) we very friendly and gave me the low down on all the hiking and biking trails! After our hike we came back and had to stop again for a late lunch haha- we both got the Velo Rancheros which was amazing and tasty- the side salad was so simple and good. And I had to try another gf baked good so I got the raspberry chocolate muffin! Which was perfect! They definitely know how to bake gf. My husband also got a smoothie - chocolate peanut butter cold brew. Which is basically his favorite. So it was a great day for us For lunch we sat in the sun out back at one of their picnic tables which was nice! We will definitely be back! Can't say enough positive things! read more

I ordered the breakfast blend (med roast) coffee and found it to be delicious. Not bitter, very smooth. The scones looked too good to pass up. I had the white chocolate blueberry and it was amazing. The owners are very kind - enough to make you want to go back just for the sake of being around good people. OMG. This place is EXACTLY what Cable needed!! I wasn't expecting much because they didn't have a menu on their website so I figured it was just coffee, smoothies and premade sandwiches. Boy was I pleasantly surprised to discover they had much more than that, including EXACTLY what I was looking for, the thing that I would eat for pretty much every meal if I couldn't get fish tacos: an egg muffin sandwich! And not only that, but I was blown away that they offered a VEGETARIAN substitute for the sausage patty, which turned out to be DELICIOUS. It comes with fresh spinach and your choice of four types of cheese (natch, it's Wisconsin, baby!), I got the pepper jack. I don't think my photos can possibly do this meal justice. I would give 10 stars if I could. The English muffin seemed like it might be homemade, it was much larger than store-bought English muffins, like 50% bigger. And the walnut vegetarian patty was equal to the size, so I think that was homemade as well. The people behind the counter (I believe were the owners) were so nice and accommodating. I was craving potatoes, so they made me a little side potato WAFFLE which isn't even on the menu, and it was AMAZING. Please put that on your menu, stat!! I want to order four more tomorrow, when I predict my husband will be having the huevos rancheros, which are also not on the menu but are a special this weekend, sounded amazing)! We stopped in to Velo Cafe to get some coffee for the road. While they had loose leaf tea available, when I saw that they were serving Kickapoo Coffee I went with that. I just had a 12 ounce brew with room for cream. While waiting I noticed some artfully displayed delicious looking peanut better cookies in a glass jar. Mr R bought me one of those and a chocolate chip cookie for himself. The peanut butter cookie was the best peanut butter cookie I can recall having! Some peanut butter cookies tend to taste more of molasses to me, but this cookie had full on peanut butter flavor. Velo Cafe bakes their goods on site, and there is some seating in the cafe as well as outdoor seating off the back. read more

Cute little cafe tucked away in cable wisconsin. Serving UP coffee from Minneapolis was definitely a plus. Their blackberry muffin was out of this world with the blackberries being freshly picked from the owners own garden. The breakfast sandwich was also phenomenal. Absolutely delicious!!! The flavors of the food are a work of art like the ambience. It's healthy and delicious. The servers are super friendly and food came out fairly quickly. I recommend the breakfast burrito with the walnut patty & side salad (how do they blend those flavors so perfectly?). The Vanilla Hazlenut Latte was fantastic as well. Stopped on our way home after spending time at a cabin near Cable. We were looking for coffee and breakfast to go and were not disappointed. Reviews were great so we figured we couldn't lose. We ordered two lattes - one skinny vanilla and the other vanilla with oat milk. The syrups are made from scratch - with the exception of hazelnut - we were told they use a Nutella for that one. Loved the oat milk option - it makes the latte so creamy! Lattes were exceptional! We also ordered egg sandwiches - one ham with pepper jack and one ham and Swiss. There are options of meat (protein) and cheese and all come with egg, homemade aioli and greens on a bun. These were so good and warm when we got them... cheese melted perfectly - delicious! The service was great and the atmosphere in the place friendly and welcoming. There was outdoor seating available but we needed to get going and took it to go. read more

AMAZING place. Those familiar with the Cable area will remember that the building that Velo is in has been occupied by several different cafes/bakeries that have all been disappointing. So when Velo opened I'll admit my expectations were low. But WOW was I wrong!!! This place is fantastic -- great ambiance with comfortable seating, spotless, and beautiful decorations with a very fitting bicycle theme! The syrups are all homemade and the lattes are some of the best we've ever had. Also, for the matcha lovers out there, their iced or hot matcha with white chocolate syrup is a WIN. We also love their sandwiches and baked goods, which are made at Velo. The owners are so sweet and helpful.
