This place is really lovely inside. Very cute. My wife loves the wall. I loved the table menu. We found this restaurant on TikTok as one of the best places to eat in Atlantic City. They did not disappoint. Our waitress was extremely friendly. The new owner was present and very involved. My wife created a dish like a potato hash. I had the mascarpone French toast, which was good. My small critique would be that the mascarpone was thicker. Maybe the heat from the French toast loosens it. But the flavor was there. I felt bad because the waitress thought I didn't like it. After all, I don't eat much. But it was good, and I get full fast due to my medicine. And that Macha drink was excellent. Best Macha I ever had.

What a cute place with delicious food and friendly, attentive staff. We shared the Orale Benedict which is a spicy version of eggs Benedict. We ordered without the chorizo and the server suggested we replace with steamed spinach. It was delicious. The dish is served with potatoes. It was enough for two people!

One of the better breakfast spots in Margate. I really really enjoyed the eggs Benedict. The couple next to me had French toast which they also said was delicious. I want go back for the banana crêpe with Nutella. Service was fast, and the menu was very affordable.

Velo Cafe was a standout, small cafe experience. When we arrived around noon, the place was popping with customers, yet the wait was only five minutes and the service was exceptional. They got us seated relatively quickly at a nice and shaded table, and they offered a water bowl for our dog with ice, being a hot summer day. We had one waitress, but several additional staff members were flowing around the outdoors, all making conversation and helping with the orders. It was an impressive flow! The only reason I am reluctantly giving four instead of five stars was the food. While the sides (potatoes, fresh fruit, sausages) and presentation were great, the entrees themselves were a bit lackluster. The cheesesteak omelet was very bland, being heavy on the provolone cheese and very low on the meat and peppers. My partner's order was also reportedly good, but not anything great. It's possible that we came on a bad day, with the waitress mentioning that one of the chefs had to go home early, but until we revisit, which I'd like to, we'll have to wait and see. Still, definitely a worthwhile stop on any passing journey or summer beach vacation!

This is an absolutely amazing breakfast and brunch spot close to Atlantic City and Brigantine. I had the iced matcha and pistachio latte with oat milk and it was so tasty! The orale benedict was so unique and incredible with ground chorizo, perfectly poached eggs, Cajun hollandaise, and a sweet potato base. The servers were kind, attentive, and accommodating with our four month old baby. I look forward to coming back for lunch or dinner soon!

Delicious breakfast at the Jersey Shore. The cheesesteak eggs Benedict, house omelette, and avocado toast were all amazing. Service was excellent too!

We love Velo Cafe! We have bern here 5 times in 2 weeks and it never disappoints. The omelettes and eggs Benedict are awesome. Chicken panini's were fresh and delicious. Avocado toast and chicken w: waffles are a favorite. Mabel and Trinity offer outstanding service. We always leave there happy and highly recommended!!

While in Atlanta City, we decided to check out the Velo Cafe. We made last-minute reservations, so we were glad that they could fit us in. The staff we very nice and friendly as we entered the restaurant. We were seated immediately. They gave us fresh bread to start, which was delicious. My daughter decided on the Fresh Pasta Special. I don't know what was in it, but she said it was delicious. (See photo). I got the Velo Chicken. It was roasted chicken breast with onions, mushrooms, tomatoes & goat cheese. Out of 10, I give it an 8. It was very good just need more vegetables and less meat (if you can believe that). Just a big plate of meat.. We also got a seafood salad to share. It was delicious. It had Shrimp, Octopus, Arugula, Cherry tomatoes, fennel & Celery tossed in a lemon olive oil. Everything was delicious but my only complaint is I don't like gratuities added to my bill. Other than that I enjoyed my time there. I would recommend this restaurant if you're in the area.

Food is always delicious. Never hard to get a table and takeout is always quick. Definitely a nicer breakfast experience than a typical breakfast spot/diner.

We have been to it plenty of times in our over 30 years of visiting AC and we have never been disappointed. The ambiance is cosy with nautical themed items decorating the walls. They have limited seating in the small establishment, with the best option being sitting at the counter at the window to people watch while enjoying your seafood items. We are always greeted by pleasant staff. They have daily specials and feature a seafood case filled with a variety of fresh seafood items that you can literally pick and they will prepare in store or you can choose to purchase to go. Our go to is the flounder and fish platter, which comes with house made slaw and fries, and either a side of fried clams or oysters. The platter also comes with a canned soda, which you get to pick the flavor choice from the beverage case. We always enjoy our food in store and are always luck enough to grab a few seats. The flounder and shrimp platter was fresh and crispy, with a light coating that did not take away from the delicate taste of the fish and shrimp. The slaw was fresh and an ok side. The fries were crispy and nothing was greasy. The oysters were fried well and when bitten, popped with a nice, fresh taste. And don't worry my MD folks, they have Old Bay to dust your food (which I really appreciate!). We suggest coming as soon as they open or call your order in ahead of time to avoid the long line that forms. All in all, our go to seafood spot when visiting AC.

Happy Hour Review…read more Preface: My wife and I were visiting AC to celebrate her birthday. As frequent visitors to AC, I'm a bit embarrassed that we've never been before but here we are. Before I get into the details, I'll simply say this place is SPECTACULAR!!! I was thoroughly impressed by the ambience, food, relative affordability (for seafood), and customer service. Additionally, we were so impressed that we came back the next day for another Happy Hour! This will be a long winded review because Dock's deserves the accolades and future potential diners! Oyster on the Half Shell ($1.50 each): Incredible, clean tasting oysters. I prefer a brinier oyster but I can't ignore the quality and freshness.. It was served with lemon, horseradish, and a homemade vinegar mixture. I asked for tabasco on the side. As mentioned earlier, I do prefer a brinier oyster but these oysters were a clean palate for you to customize as you please. Regardless of your oyster preference, order a few to start off your experience. Broiled Oysters ($1.75 each): There were two options: Rockefeller or Champagne Leak. We only ordered 2 (Champagne Leak) because we wanted to explore more of the Happy Hour Menu. The broiled oysters were presented on the half shell with what looked like a creamy leek infused sauce. Beautiful flavor! Fried Oysters ($1.75 each): They offered 4 different types: plain, buffalo, parmesan, and wasabi encrusted. I loved them all. We ordered 2 of each and it was served with tartar sauce. All 4 offered different flavor profiles. The Plain sounds boring but it's the perfect vessel for you to dress it as you please. The Parm was one of my favorite bites here. It was breaded, fried, and topped off with cheese and red sauce. It was fabulous. I can't give an honest review of the Wasabi and Buffalo fried oyster as my palate was bombarded with multiple plates, condiments, and drinks at the same time. Fried Calamari ($7.25): Simple, fresh, delicious. Although fried, it didn't come out greasy. Simple breading or flour dusted and fried served with lemon and cocktail sauce. No curve balls with this fried calamari. Lobster Mac and Cheese ($11): Beautifully presented Mac and Cheese served on top of a half split lobster. Great traditional casserole style Mac and Cheese (in taste, not presentation). Bits of lobster incorporated as well. It's a nice change of pace from oysters galore.I understand it's lobster but for the most expensive item on the Happy Hour Menu, I expected a little bit more meat. Tuna Tacos ($7.75): Star of the Show! Raw tuna chunks are diced and served in crispy wonton tacos. The crispy wonton had an incredible crunch. Wonderful upfront flavor but it doesn't stop there. There are back notes of something I can't pinpoint...a touch of wasabi and/or sesame oil??? I honestly can't tell you but it brings such a complexity to the dish. This is a must order. Even if you don't like raw fish, please do yourself a favor and try it! My favorite bite of 2026!! Ambience: old school but upgraded and grand design. Beautifully stocked upstairs and downstairs bar. The pianist played classic music. Customer Service: although we weren't seated. The bartender accommodated us to stand on the side of the bar, he told us it was against policy to serve food to standing customers (understandable) but he obliged. The bartender's name was Joe. Excellent bartender/server. Overall: we were so impressed we told ourselves that we had to come back the next day and we did. Day 2 food reviews below. TOTAL: $141.58 + $30 tip, 4 alcoholic drinks ordered. Day 2 Food Review House made Meatballs ($6.25): Great choice if you want to switch up away from seafood. Great presentation with 3 meatballs drenched in red sauce and topped with a Parmesan crisp. Overall it was tasty but I prefer a slightly sweeter red sauce. Deviled Eggs ($6.25): The Deviled Eggs here are topped off with a fried oyster. I'm a huge texture guy and traditionally deviled eggs are a mushy hot mess but here the crispy fried oyster is the perfect contrast. Served with a honey drizzle. Will order again! Clams Casino ($6.50): Clams topped off with charred red and green bell peppers and bacon. Aesthetically beautiful and colorful. More importantly, it was delicious. Notes of bacon are felt but surprisingly the charred peppers come through with a slight sweet profile. Mini Crab Cakes ($7.75): Traditional crab cake with a red pepper sauce. Good serving size, good amount of crab, and very little filler inside. No frills, must order. Steam Mussels Marinara ($8.75): Mussels served over a red sauce. Served with garlic bread on the side. The garlic bread was the unsung hero of this dish. Great garlic and butter flavor. The bread stands tall against the flavorful mussels and red sauce. Customer Service: Harry was our barbartender and looked like he was enjoying his time. All the staff truly provided great service. Total: $181.17 + $40 tip, 6 alcoholic drinks ordered.

We got there and it looked, calm, simple, and plain from the outside - until we walked in... this place was PACKED! Clearly, since we didn't make reservations, we weren't going to enjoy seating at their white table cloth tables in the main dining room, but we went around back to their bar and scored one last table there. Our server, Brian was amazing... engaging... and on point! They have a nice wine list and perfect spirit list. They also have an outstanding menu loaded with so many options, that I really just needed to settle on the first thing I saw that looked good. For me, I love cucumbers and when I saw they had a cucumber salad, done Asian style, I was completely in!!! Then I saw their soup of the day was split pea with bacon and since no one serves split pea and when they do, it's rarely what I expect, I got that too! Both of these came out looking GREAT! The cucumber salad had a nice spice to it and the flavors overall were sooo on point! That split pea soup was also great... almost perfect! It had the exact texture this soup should have and the flavor was very nice. For my entrée I saw a few of the halibut as I was walking through the dining room, so that is what I chose. The halibut came out looking great! It was PERFECTLY prepared too!! The flavors were spot-on, and the accompanying veggies were great too. We were enjoying dinner so much that we didn't want it to end, even though we were full... so, we ordered desserts too. I opted for the banana cream pie, as this is another item I rarely see on a menu and when I do, it's rarely done right, but not here... they did it perfectly! Overall, amazing meal... He made it very clear that the restrooms were for paying customers only. I firmly replied, "I plan to dine in, but need to use the restroom first. Is that a problem?" He didn't seem too happy with that response and walked away. As intended, I sat at the bar and ordered wings and truffle fries.
