I had a great experience purchasing a Range Rover from Velocity.... negotiating a very fair price was straightforward...Joseph assured me that the vehicle was in excellent condition, that they had installed new brake pads (that he acknowledged high quality but were not OEM)... and there was nothing else it needed....after a number of telephone conversations with Joseph I moved forward with purchasing the vehicle... Joseph continued to communicate with me about the shipping of the vehicle and procured an excellent price to ship it to Arizona... I had the vehicle shipped directly to my independent Land Rover technicians, Rover N Techs in Scottsdale... it arrived several days ahead of schedule... I asked my trusted technicians to throughly inspect the Rover and call me...two days later,I got a call..."you purchased a great Range Rover, in extraordinarily condition", they waived the inspection fee putting the money into changing the oil to the special Castrol oil that only certified technicians can obtain... I would not buy anything from this business. They hid the fact that the car I put a deposit on was built from a rusted wreck. they knew that was the fact but hid behind the phrase "no visible rust." Scum bags in the real sense of the word. They bought a car from me on Ebay, and NEVER paid for it. The sales guy on the phone was a real jerk. I wouldn't buy anything from these guys. Buyer or Sellers BEWARE SCUM bag just sends me a note stating the car in question sold for more money by his friends a LIE. Was listed on Ebay and they tried to hide the fact it had some issues and people asked me about the car. The reason I sent a nasty response was it was on EBAY and asked for pictures AFTER auction. Here's the short and sweet, if you don't enjoy a good read.. ask lots of questions and listen real hard at the answers, then ask them again! So this guy (joe s.) velocity motorsports does not have a single negative feedback review on ebay. He has like 340 something bright stars, a+ reviews..I found the car on ebay, but contacted him directly to talk money, so technically I can't leave a "review" on there. BUT I came across this on yelp and now I can chime in. Let me start off by saying that anytime you're buying or selling used cars sight unseen there's gong to be some level of disappointment on the buying end, I'm not saying that Joe is a liar, but he "fluffed" the car in my particular situation to an extent. He's in business to sell cars, used cars, there are no bigger scumbags than used car salesmen, well lawyers, but it's a tight race! I won't go into particulars about the car because it's nothing detrimental & as of now it's only cosmetic, very fixable, plus I have not spoke to him about it yet, maybe he doesn't know THAT much about cars? Anyhow, I think it'd be easier to resurrect Elvis than get a refund-credit out of a car sale. So it is what it is. He was very helpful in getting the car shipped quick with a reliable carrier that was on time. I would buy another car from Joe, but I'd like to sell him one first! read more
