I wanted milky white base with a pure white French tip, and she was very transparent about my expectations She made it clear that doing a dip powder with milky white base and pure white tips, would almost not show considering putting white on white. I told her that was OK and let's continue on anyways. She respected my request and finished my set which in the end I do see where she's coming from however, I am very happy with the set that I got.

I was so overwhelmed by two people trying to figure out how to create a cat eye manicure that by the end of it I did not pay attention to my toes until I go lt home. To my surprise she had left a gap from where the skin is to where the nail polish starts, leaving an outgrown look :( I was so upset!! However, time is of essence and I had to let it be. Four days later my the gel had already chipped, which was incredibly frustrating considering I paid $120.... **One week later** I was in the shower washing my hair and the gel polish kept getting stuck on my hair, I'm not kidding when I say I took the nails off like it was stickers... I attached a photo for reference, I literally took them off in the shower whiteout any issues! I basically paid $120 for garbage. The people working here are shady, and expensive. They messed up my appointment time not once, but twice. Instead of taking responsibility or making any effort to accommodate me, the owner immediately became defensive and argumentative. Rather than acknowledging the possibility of a scheduling mistake, she repeatedly insisted that I had given a different time, even after I explained that the time she claimed made no sense because I wasn't available then. She continued arguing, refused to listen, and eventually walked away from me in an extremely disrespectful manner. To make matters worse, my first visit was a disappointment because the owner did a poor job on my nails. The only reason I gave this salon another chance was because Victoria did an excellent job during my second visit. Unfortunately, one talented employee cannot make up for terrible management and customer service. Their appointment process is outdated since there is no online booking system where clients can select their preferred technician. Everything has to go through the owner, and based on my experience, communication is a major issue. Even when mistakes are clearly made, there is no accountability--just excuses and arguments. Customer service starts at the top, and this salon's biggest problem is its owner. I will not be returning and would not recommend this business to anyone who expects professionalism, respect, or basic accountability.

She's personable and skilled, and always checks on my comfort level multiple times during a session. Her setup is extremely clean and hygienic which I also appreciate. Paying is a breeze - if you don't have cash she will take Venmo (my preference) and possibly other forms of e-payment. I've seen Linda's mani and pedi work on others, and it's lovely. I tend to keep it simple with one color, but she can do complex nail techniques and nail art if that's your preference. She uses high quality products and I can see and feel the difference. She stays quite busy (so book well ahead of time!) and will still do her best to fit in last minute appointment requests. She's one of the best kept secrets in this area!

Small note that there is a mani/pedi combo package towards the bottom of the list - I tried multiple times to book both a mani and pedi at the same time (and failing) before realizing! Parking downtown depending on the time of day can be a little challenging, but it is towards the end of downtown which makes it a little easier. Charming Nail Shop is located on the second floor, and there are two seats to wait at inside if she's finishing up with previous clients! You can pick a color while you wait - her variety is pretty extensive, and she recommended me to try a polish with "diamond finish" that truly held up flawlessly for almost three weeks, and is still holding up strong as I grew out my nails for the next three months lol. Mani and pedi were both really relaxing experiences - the soak and massage was lovely, and she made great conversation (out of this introvert!) to pass the time. My appointment did take longer than planned but I enjoyed the little spa moment for me.
