Finding your way upstairs adds to the speakeasy-style charm. The reception area alone sets the vibe: playful, stylish, and full of photo-worthy moments before you even sit down. It feels like you've discovered something not everyone knows about. We went with the small plate prix fixe menu (three courses), and each dish was thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and -- most importantly -- delicious. Every course left us wanting just a little more, which is exactly how a tasting-style experience should feel. Nothing felt rushed, and the pacing of the food was on point. Cocktails were also excellent, creative, well-balanced, and fitting for the ambiance. The only hiccup of the night was drink service being a bit slow. Not a dealbreaker by any means, but noticeable. Overall, a great Restaurant Week experience in a space that feels both intimate and fun. I'll absolutely be back to explore the full menu soon.

The atmosphere was absolutely stunning and classy. Our server Ashley was top notch, extremely attentive and knowledgeable about all aspects of the restaurant and menu. The appetizer of the Focaccia Bread with different spreads and cheese was amazing. The meal itself was overly satisfying and was fit for the food network . We highly recommend " A Light in the Attic" and we wish this establishment a long and prosperous existence. Jeff and Sharon

They have some weird flavor combos that work. I feel like hotdogs are a NY staple so I love that they are doing their take on it. 2) The hotdogs restaurant is giving dingy hole in the wall and I think that's the ambiance they are going for. Personally not my preference. When we went they were playing loudly explicit heavy metal again that's not something I enjoy. However it was very popular especially among what looked like college kids. 3) If you want to go to the speak easy part 9/10 you need a reservation. We stopped in when there was a random torrential down so we were early for our reservation. We saw lots of people get turned away because they did not have a reservation. 4) The speak easy was super cool. You have to make a phone call in the telephone booth and then the door opens up. 5) I liked the vibe inside the cocktail lounge. The drinks were good. They aren't cheap around $25 per cocktail depending. All and all I could see this as a fun place to go when we have visitors but I don't think this will be one we will frequent often.

But on top of that its also one of those you never really know what you're going to get kind of places until you actually set out to find out. In my experience with RUBA hall I've known it as the place for the perfect potluck (which would have been even better if more of the people who said they were going to show up with food actually did. Just saying!), a concert hall that featured 3-4 awesome acts, a place that housed the ultimate karaoke party, and a spot known for its cabarets (that I still need to make it down too!). When it comes down to it RUBA is a place that is generally open to letting its members paint a blank canvas for its events. And since it predominately likes to center itself on the performing arts that can be a very beautiful thing! Another awesome thing is how little it can cost to get such a coveted membership and throw an event. The membership rate for such a cool event hall and after hours club is $20 a year. And putting on events goes for around $300 which is practically nothing if you can pull off something fun and exciting. So when it comes down to it RUBA is solid gold!

There are 3 gender-neutral bathrooms on the 1st level of the restaurant. Only two are actual bathrooms. The middle one opens into a bathroom, but there is another door inside that leads to the listening room. This is as cool as the speakeasy gets. You are not allowed to take pictures inside the listening room, the bouncers will give you a sticker to put over the camera of your phone to ensure that pictures are not taken inside. You are still allowed to use your phone but just not for pictures. The drinks options are basically the same as LMNO. I did not know why I expected a different menu. Inside, it was dark and kinda smoky (not from cigarettes and the place did not actually smell smoky, but set up this way to make it feel more like a speakeasy). The space was not that big, there were some couches and ottomans that lined the walls, and bar seating. The music was ok, we stuck around for a couple of drinks and left.
