Short Version: John was incredible and went WELL above anything expected and helped me deal with a tough situation and even called me each day to update me on everything. Long Version It takes a lot for me to write a review; the last time i did my car was vandalized and i received a death threat. I say this to put emphasis on how incredible this company was, specifically John Long story short (and it is a very long story), my friend purchased tickets for him and myself to an event, however his grandma passed away two days before the event. John ensured i could still get the tickets (even though the tickets were in my friend's name and that was not supposed to be allowed). Even more he coordinated with someone to make sure I could pick the tickets up at will call even though that was also not allowed. The Vendini Team is always ready to jump in and help when needed, but most of the time, the support page already has the answer either in a Q&A format or a video tutorial. On-line member training is a plus for new ticket agents. OMG, don't ever do business with this idiotic company! Some asshat got ahold of my debit card data at this company and as a result I had to change debit accounts. This has caused a ripple effect on my ability to bank and pay bills electronically for about six months now. I've spent countless hours on the phone with the bank, various stores, my phone company, etc. Don't ever let anyone who uses Vendini as a ticketing agent give Vendini any information about you. God knows if the security breach is a bad apple at the company or if some idiot just left credit card data lying around in their offices for someone to steal. I got tickets through Vendini to see an improv show at Improv Asylum in Boston. Had never bought tickets to a Vendini venue before. It was super convenient to buy online from the Improv Asylum website and I chose to have the tickets emailed to me so I could print them at home and bring with me --- waaay better than having to show up early and wait in line for tickets! I wasn't required to login with a username and password to buy tickets (ahem Ticketmaster!). I hate having to remember a password and login to buy a ticket and it makes it easy to buy and get your tickets without having to talk to the box office or call customer service to try and figure out your login. I also appreciate that when I bought tickets, I had the option to opt in/out of receiving future marketing emails. Very classy Vendini! read more

Wow, I can say their customer service is on point. I called because I had a problem with a transaction and not receiving a confirmation email. We managed to resolve the problem together. Meka was very polite and sounded like she legitimately cared and helped me in the best way possible. Also the contact support via email is on point too, they got back to me asap and explained to me what might have been the reason why my transaction did not go through. About 5 years ago I purchased season tix for our local playhouse via Vendini, as that is their contracted online ticketing interface. As a result my Visa credit card was hacked. Someone started using it for shopping and hotel bills in Las Vegas. I had never even been in the state of NV at that point. Never rec'd any notice from Vendini or the local theater about the data security problem. I know it had to be the Vendini transaction because I use my debit card for POS transactions and Paypal for online ones wherever I can. So using my credit card online is a rare event. Fortunately, Bank of America, my Visa issuer, took care of the problem. But I had to get a new card and revise several automated payment arrangements. I will never risk using Vendini again. read more

Vendini offers a good ticketing product, but the cost of their product is so high, and the poor quality of every aspect of their purportedly robust database combine to make this an inexcusably bad product that I wish nobody ever buy in the future. I work for a company that signed this contract before my tenure began, and boy does everyone regret it. Their database reporting is so bad that when you enter a field for first name and a separate field for last name, the reports always spit out the two fields merged into one. When you want to sort by last name, you need to parse the fields first, even though the source data has them in separate fields. Want another example? This product has been around for years, and yet there is no user manual. None whatsoever. Their "help center" is a list of a few basic FAQs and that's it. They assured us they would release a manual this summer but it still isn't here. They assured us five months ago they were one month out from releasing virtual gift cards. Guess what? Are you getting it now? Yup... NO GIFT CARDS!!! And here we are at the holidays. We found an expensive work-around, but a company charging as much as Vendini does (3-4x the industry mean in our case) has no excuse for such a poor product. Try running a report of emails. The field that spits out is the email, then a space, then open parens and a descriptor of which of the three email fields it is (home, work, or other). Guess what? Yup, you got it. Parse the data yourself, sucker!!! Try importing new emails in a batch. Guess what? It overwrites all of the emails already in there. Anyone who knows the term Entity Relationship knows that whoever built this database made mistake after mistake. Anyone who buys their database deserves to go bankrupt. We are lucky we didn't. They can offer us a new contract at 20 cents on the dollar and we'll go a la carte with donor management for fundraising and CRM software for marketing. But we will never, EVER, use this horrible product for more than we have to. read more

I booked a couple of tickets to an event in Seattle but did not receive the tickets by email. I emailed Vendini customer support after waiting for 3 days. Their support specialists replied within a few hours and immediately rectified the issue. I am glad they were so easy to deal with as I know sometimes it can be hard dealing with customer support. I have been using Vendini as my ticket software since 2008. I love how easy the program is to use. I am the only staff member for the box office, everyone else is volunteers, which means I have a very large range in how "computer savvy". Vendini is so easy to use that I can have a new volunteer trained and ready to help patrons in a matter of hours instead of days. The support staff and Vendini are also wonderful. They always show interest in what my needs are and have taken my suggestions and made them a part of the workings of the program. I have gone to the annual conference every year and always leave with a wealth of information. Full disclosure...I actually work for Vendini. But, prior to my employment I bought oodles of tickets from them for shows at Palo Alto Players, Montalvo and other venues and organizations. I loved not having to remember a username and password and I loved being able to buy tickets for others and e-mail them. I purchased "reserved" parking tickets online for $30.00 for the Eryka Badu concert on 5/22/15. Once we arrived at the Mt. Winery to park, their parking attendant (Vendini) told us they were having parking issues and to just park with everyone else. WHAT A SCAM!! They were charging $20.00 to park, yet I paid $30.00 for reserved parking. I'm still waiting for Vendini to refund my $30.00 I paid for services they did not render, yet, they still have my $30.00!!! I'm seriously considering not attending ANY concerts held at The Mt. Winery. $50.00 for concert tickets, $15.00 purchasing charge to Mt. Winery, $30.00 for reserved parking or $20.00 for general parking and you can only purchase their AWFUL drinks $10-$15 ($10.00 for a beer). read more

So so terrible. The site built by ventini for the Cumberland island ferry (cumberlandislandferry.com) is absolutely worthless. You can't buy return tickets, can't move across calendar months. They have been notified by the ferry operators that's it's broken, but insist it works fine. It doesn't. They should of tried harder prior to going live. Never do business with this company. They care nothing about customer service. I purchased tickets to the Metro Cooking Washington DC Nov 8-9, 2014 the day the tcikets went on sale. I spent a great deal of money on reserved seat to see Bobby Flay, the beer, wine & spirits pavillion etc.. At that time the only headliner was Bobby Flay. There was no indication that any other celebrity appearance. Then an announcement was made for the appearance of Guy Fieri on Saturday. I immediately tried to contact Vendini Tickets. After leaving six messages (NO ONE EVER ANSWRED THE PHONE). I finally received a return call from Anna Simmons. I explained to her that I would like to exchange my two general admision tickets for two reserved tickets for Guy FIeri and pay the difference. As these tickets include general admission. She told me that she did not have that authority but would look into it and would need to get back to me. After a week no call. So I called her again! We had the same conversation she said that she did not remember speaking to me. I waited and again nothing. So I called her yet again and we discussed this again she told me she would look into it and get back with me, I reminded her that she had already promised me this twice before! AND OF COURSE SHE NEVER CALLED BACK! I then called her again this time she said I told you tickets are non refundable and I would see what I could do. Yes that was the point. She just kept saying tickets are nonrefundable likle I told you! I shared the fact that if she would have told me that I would have never spent weeks working on getting answer from all and that she was not being truthful. I called and spoke with someone else at Vendini and was advised that indeed Anna Simmons is one of the two heads of the company. Anna was deceitful. What a horrible way to do business! Sunday afternoon ticket transfer in the iOS app total FAIL. Vendini app already has my bank info, but will only accept pay for a transferred ticket through a credit card. (Wtf did they need my bank info for?) App demanded my full name, address and phone # before it would allow me to input my CC info, and then gave me a "server error" without taking my money or transferring the ticket to me! (Wtf do they need my personal info for if I'm paying by card!?) Tried to contact Tech Support from within the Vendini iOS app. No phone number. "Contact Us" simply creates an email to Vendini, but the email DOES NOT EVEN HAVE A SEND BUTTON! Tried logging in on a PC to pay and transfer the ticket that way. FAIL. Their online web portal is for only concert venues selling tickets. When I called the tel # on the web page they asked if I was a "member" or a "customer." Wtf? After I explained they said I was a "customer," and promised to "escalate" my request to "Tech Support." Concert starts in 2 hours. Wtf!? Total FAIL of a system read more
