Mamma mia!! Venecia has quickly become one of my go-to spots in Farmersville. I've been a few times now, and 10/10 everything has been consistently good. I ordered the lasagna last time and it twas' excellent, the salads are fresh and generous, and the staff is always kind and welcoming. Food is always ready on time, which I definitely appreciate. They have BYOB and the place is ideal for that. Intimate lighting and a big space. It's just a really solid Italian spot for a hearty, comforting meal. Decent Italian in a small town strip mall. Came in at 9pm'ish on Friday night, we were seated immediately. Drinks and garlic bread were quick to follow. Menu is extensive with pizza, sandwiches, baked pasta, sauced pasta and desserts. We went with a loaded Stromboli and chicken piccata. Food arrived fast and hot. Only down side of the piccata was chicken still had that piece of tendon attached. Stromboli was tasty and packed with veggies. Service was excellent. We'll be back. read more

Finally made it in after finding out about this restaurant. Was greeted when walked in and told I could sit wherever I wanted. Inside was clean and organized. Drinks were quickly brought out along with some fresh buttered knots. They were excellent. I ordered the chicken parmigiana. It was delicious. Chicken was tender and flavorful. Spaghetti was cooked perfectly. Sauce was great too. The food was very reasonably priced and service was exceptional. Fantastic experience from a little hidden gem. What a wonderful place to stop for dinner. We are from out of town and just pulled into the first thing we saw for dinner. Service was a 10/10. The waiter was considerate to the fact that the table we sat at was next to the front door. So mid-bread eating he offered to let us move somewhere cooler if we wanted. Reseated us in a room no one else was in so we could listen to the game on the tv and turned on the AC in there. Food was amazing! His recommendation for the chicken aristocrat was wonderful. Tried Venecia for the first time tonight! 5 Pretty busy for a Wednesday night and the staff were great (kept drinks filled and rolls coming.) Our food also came out quickly being so busy along with take out orders. Super cute little place, very cozy. I got the fettuccini alfredo, so good and plenty of sauce (I hate dry pasta). My husband got the chicken pesto, he's already talking about coming back for dinner this weekend to get it again because it was so good haha. Our son got the kids pizza with pepperoni. Huge portion which was great, absolutely loved it. For dessert (to-go) we got the cheesecake and the chocolate mousse cake. Both were delicious. On our way to stay locally for a few days, we were both hungry. I suggested we call Venecia from the car as we were coming to Farmersville. They quickly took our large pizza with mushrooms and black olives order and 25 minutes later we pulled in. Right on time! Quickly paid for and left with the pizza. Got home and now we know why Venecia is known as the best pizza in Farmersville, because it IS! Very tasty! We had the remainder of the pizza the next day and it reheated perfectly. The whole setup is disappointing. Have eaten here twice. The food was ok the first time but not the second. I don't understand how this family Thats running it doesn't seem to care a bit about customer service. The only female waitress barely speaks and couldn't care less if you were there. No personality. I have been training as an over the road truck driver for the last week and had to take my DOT required reset (basically I cannot move the truck for 34 hours) in this small town in TX. Needless to say, the nearby "real food" options were few and far between. I took an uber 6 miles to this little Italian restaurant in a strip mall. My expectations were not high at all -- 'anything has to be better than a gas station burrito' I thought to myself When I got here I was greeted by a friendly staff and warm, welcoming atmosphere. Let me tell you I was blown away at the quality of the food! I have had the pleasure of spending a month backpacking in Italy, and this food hold up to some of the best meals I had in Tuscany! I recently had lunch here. They offer lunch specials as well as a full menu. The rolls are perfect, nice crust on the exterior, warm and soft on the inside. I had the stuffed mushroom appetizer. They were very flavorful, you could taste the crab meat in each bite. The Pasta Combo lunch special included a salad. I opted for the house dressing which was a delicious tomato vinaigrette. The pasta combo was a great choice as I was able to sample the lasagna, manicotti and cannelloni. Loaded with cheese, meat and sauce. It's worth the drive and scenic as you cross Lake Lavon on 380. We've dined in Venecia's before and the food was very good. We ordered take out last night and it very disappointing. Ordered the Shrimp Alvino. The pasta and sauce were excellent. However, the shrimp was so overdone you could not cut through them with a fork. The garlic bread was so burned on the bottom, it was hard to cut it with a steak knife. The cheese ravioli and Angel Hair Basillica were satisfactory. We are posting this to let the management know what they may not know. Definitely get the salad with the house dressing -- their house dressing is unique and one of the better dressings I have had in awhile. I also recommend the Pasta Combo. Found out about this restaurant while doing some contract work in Princeton. They told me this was one of the best local Italian restaurants around. They were telling the truth. The restaurant is run by two gentleman from Italy and the food shows. My friend and I called in our orders as we had to get back to work. They had tons of lunch specials and I decided to get their lasagna and a side of broccoli and my friend got the baked ziti. The lasagna smelled amazing. I opened up my box and was surprised to find a lovely long piece of lasagna covered with cheese, medium thick sauce with beef and red pepper. The sauce just melts in your mouth and has a nice hint of spice! The bread that came with the lasagna was so warm and flakey. I dipped the bread in the sauce and it was just amazing! I had to stop myself from eating everything at once. I so wish that Venecia was closer to me as I would go every week--it is just that good!! read more

Everything we ordered was very salty and oily, especially the minestrone. The rolls were decent. Customer service over the phone was dry, but in person was much better. We visited this place on a Thursday evening around 7 pm and when we first walked in, there was maybe one or two other tables but within a few minutes, the entire place was full. I believe the place only had one waiter during this time and she did well considering she was working a lot of tables. We ordered the olive oil and garlic appetizer which I do not recommend. It was 'ok' at best but just not what I expected and just over priced at $3.99 IMO. For the table, we ordered three different entrees of which I ordered the chicken marsala. It was good although pieces of the chicken had a bit of a strange flavor of gasoline or something. I can't really explain it but regardless, it was ok. The other two entrees were enjoyed by my family. Overall, I'm giving this place four stars as it is above average (3 star restaurants in my review scale) and will likely return again in the future. read more
