The décor has a charming Venetian-inspired feel that reminded me of the Venetian Hotel, making the experience feel a little more luxurious. Quality of nail painting was poor. My pedicure tech was awesome and did a great job but my gel manicure was a little disappointing. See image for the chunky polish glob on the end of my nails. For the price of this salon I'd expect much more precision and even nail shape and polishing. Way too thick nails for my liking. I'll be going to a Russian manicure nail salon next time I guess. I went in for a Shellac manicure and was quoted $40. I chose a color, but during application it didn't look right and I felt uncomfortable with the technician's behavior. There was giggling and comments made in another language while working on my nails, which made the experience feel unprofessional. When I moved my hand slightly, I was scolded rather than corrected politely. At that point, I asked to have everything removed because I was no longer comfortable continuing the service. I was told the appointment would take 40 minutes, but it ran longer and I ended up leaving without any color applied -- only shaping and removal. I was still charged $30.90. I understand paying for time and removal, but the overall experience and customer service were disappointing. I won't be returning. read more

Today I was in Sugarland and stopped to get my nails off. The tech name was Alisa she was so rude. She was upset because my powdered nails when she was taking it off had a lot of layers. This is the most expensive nail salon with the lowest quality of work I have ever been to. I paid $72 for these short bulky nails (I did not ask for the bulk. I like thin nails). I got them done less than 24 hours ago and they are already lifting. You can see in the pictures. There is bubbles in the paint & the tips are so uneven. They told me the nails alone were $50 and an extra $20 for the French tip because of how sloped it was. They also did not mention the extra cost while servicing me. There are so many other salons you could go to for this price and get much friendlier service. read more

Overall the experience was nice depending on who was doing your nails and is a nice place to go if you are in the area. The woman who did my nails was very patient and kind. I went here with my sister and some others to get our nails done for her wedding. I got nail extensions and an ombre dip. From afar my nails look good but they weren't shaved down close to the nail bed to look more natural. The finished nails had a nice shape but could've looked a little more natural. My main concern with this experience was that there was another worker with short hair that kept rushing the others I was with and didn't let them look at all the colors for their manicures before selecting. So, I can finally write this review because I'm a little over a week out from my manicure. My sister and I were getting ready for my brother's wedding, and we needed to at least get manicures. Thankfully, we didn't need pedicures because we were wearing close toed heels. I made us an early afternoon appointment. We walked into this beautiful, classy nail salon with a chandelier above, European like columns, and relaxed lighting. We were greeted by Jimmy, who directed us to pick a color for our nails. We were going to get dip powder nails. I ended up picking a cream pink color and my sis a pink pink color for our dip nails. Calvin did my nails, and Jimmy did my sister's nails. They were both pretty gentle with handling our nails. I didn't know there was such a process with doing dip powder nails. They have to buffer our nails to get them ready for the repeating sequence of dip powder to nail polish, and then to dip powder again. I think they did this process at least 5 times before they did a final clear nail polish coat. Both my sis and my nails came out beautiful. It even looks ok a little over a week out. My nails did grow out a bit and the shine from the nails is a little less apparent. But, it's still holding up ok. I preface this by saying that I am a healthcare worker. So, I wash and sanitize my hands a lot too. My coworker stated that the dip powder nails can last up to 3 weeks (depending on how fast your nails grow out), which would be worth the price of $40/pp for a manicure. We didn't need to pay extra to get nail tips because my sis and I already had our own natural nail tips. I think, all in all, for special occasions like weddings and birthdays, a manicure here is well worth it. Plus, you feel pampered and cared for. Now, I didn't try their pedicures, but from looking at other women getting them, it seems like they do a thorough job of these as well. Come check them out. read more

I have come here for years but recently they have terrible service. My appointments are confirmed over the phone but when I come in they do not find it in the system and It takes a long time for anybody to attend to me. On other occasions, I ask for a particular person to do my nails only to be switched in the middle of the nail session because he/she has another client. It's happened a few times which makes me a little uneasy because the manager doesn't even seem to care or apologize when a complaint is made. I will be taking my business somewhere else. read more

Tried this place out bc it looked nice inside. My pedicure was pretty crappy though. The lady who did my nails only did a really light coat of nail polish so by the next day my toes looked messed up already. After this experience I had here I doubt I'll come back again. My sister recommended this place to me and it hasn't disappointed me yet. Really pretty interior with a LOT of staff. I haven't found my go-to person yet but I liked both of my techs so far! I did a walk-in both times and I was helped right away with 0 waiting time, even thought it was really busy. Kay and Eddy took wonderful care of me today. They were quick and attentive. I almost didn't come because of reading previous reviews but I'm glad I did. I got a full set and a pearl pedicure. Kay kept checking in on me every so often to make sure I was enjoying myself. I also added on a massage and it was actually the best one I've ever had in my life. I've even had professional massages but she took her time and made sure I was feeling relief. This is honestly the best experience I've had at a nail salon. They normally rush me out and that's why I quit getting them done but they made me feel cared for and feel like I actually matter. I will be returning 110%. This nail salon had great ambiance as well as a decent pedicure, but as far as my manicure this was the worst one I have had in the past year. The French was super sloppy, and I was told in order to have the almond shape I was trying to achieve the nail tech would have to cut deep into my cuticle, causing me to bleed and to have effected nail growth months later. The second photo is 1 week later, and you can see where my nail broke because of cutting too low trying to change the shape of my nails. Very impressed! Same setup as the one in SugarLand Town Centre. The nail service here is excellent and the techs are super sweet. Got the Venetian mani/pedi combo for 55 (not incl tip) and felt like they spent enough time esp w the massages for both hands and feet and were very considerate. The color selection they had was awesome as well. Def my new go to place. Updated-so a little delay to the update. I'm not changing the review stars however I would note to be careful about the manicure. My manicure which was a clear coat didn't even last 2 days before the nails literally started peeling off. They fixed it upon request as I went back and I was told that this happens all the time w clear polish. (?) after getting it fixed it didn't happen again. I loved this place and it was always my go to, but I've had terrible experiences the last few times I've come and today was the final straw. They did such a horrible job on my manicure today. This was the first time I've gotten polish because I always get the dip powder which they do great on, I just didn't feel like spending $60 on a manicure today. The minute I said I wanted the basic mani/pedi, I could tell they were frustrated. When cutting down my natural nails with the dip on it, one of the ladies completely split my nail with no disregard. I immediate felt it when it split and it started burning. She did not apologize or even acknowledge it. After I got my nails done, you could see the uneven paint job and all the ridges on the nails. They look terrible, I am probably gonna have to remove the polish here at home even after I just spent money. They are all chipped and smudged and it happened before I could even leave the store. I have been coming here for 2+ years for dip manicures and pedicures. I am big on customer service and will quickly go to another establishment if I receive poor basic customer service. The customer service here has been amazing for me. The service has been great as well. They are gentle with my hands, my dip removal/manicures doesn't hurt, and they always look great. The staff even called me to notify me when my favorite manicurist Mia (who I only booked appointments with) left the company and referred me to someone equally as good. As a licensed nail technician it's hard to believe he thought fungus was a bruise. I was in pain..I have no reason to lie, I don't have a thing to gain from this review. I came here to get dip manicure with a matte coat on top and the girl who did my nails had no idea what she was doing. She filed the dip super uneven with streaks. Like if I looked at my nails from the side it looks like the road Wilcrest and Bellaire. Pot holes and bumps and lumps. It was awful. Then she put the matte coat on and 3 hours later my nails had a brown/yellowish tint to it. I paid 45 dollars cause the matte coat cost extra and I wanted a manicure and never even got one. She didn't cut my cuticles or anything. Eventually I had to come back even though knowing full well that I should have just gone to a different nail salon. She redid 6 of them and she took a little bit more time this time around but they still look terrible. Like at this point I was hella confused cause she had her own nails done with dip and they looked great... Anyways the second go around I actually watched her and her technique was all wrong. She dipped my nails into the dip only twice but she left my finger in there for a while. She would even double dip without putting a layer of base on there so when it came out it had these streaks on it just like when you would put glitter on top of elmer's glue. The receptionist also said sometimes matte nails do turn yellow... THEN- WHY OFFER IT???? I have been getting matte nails for about 8 months now and never in my life did they get this weird yellow brownish tint to it. My nails turned a yellow/ brown tint again one day later and here I am on my way to a different nail salon to beg them to save my nails. I recommend Sweet Escape next to Target if anyone is as salty as me about their expensive ass nails looking stupid. read more

I loved this place but...They ruined my natural nails. I've been coming here for the past 6 months and this is the second time I have an issue. I was here Sunday and decided to take off my dip powder and get regular nail polish instead. I left the salon with extremely dry and dirty hands (they didn't put lotion in my hands because the polish was still wet -which I understand) but I had never left with my hands feeling so dry. My nails also kept getting caught in my sweater so much that I had to go straight to the CVS in that same strip center to get a nail filer and fix them myself. But the thing that makes me the most upset is that they ruined my natural nails by using that electric nail filer/drill. My natural nails are very thick and don't break as easily. I even asked the guy who did my nails if he was thinning them out trying to remove the dip powder and he said no, but I could already feel the difference. Sure enough, my nails are so brittle one of them already broke and another one cracked. The only solution I see is to cut them all short, but I don't even know if growing them out all over again will help since he really thinned them out with that electric drill... Oh and the polish made some weird ridges after drying. read more

CALVIN IS THE BEST NAIL TECH!!!! He does my sister's nails and they always come out beautiful. I got mine done yesterday and Calvin took his time. He pays close attention to the shape and thickness of the nail and makes sure to ask you if you're happy with the way your nails look throughout the process. Overall he is extremely meticulous. I got a Pyramid Dip powder (color #53 I think?), tips added to my nails, and asked for an Almond shaped nail. One of the best things about Calvin's work is that he shapes the edge of the nail (by the cuticle) so well that it never lifts or chips as your nail grows out. This makes the nails last for a very long time. Tom is the manager here and is always smiling, friendly and accommodating. Amy did my pedicure yesterday and my feet came out great! Egh. Paid $57 for dip nails with a tip and the result is just alright. I haven't had my nails done since November so decided I was going to go to a nice salon (aka expensive) to pamper myself because I deserve it and there is seriously nothing better than any other salon. Yes my manicurist Hannah was super nice. But I usually have nice nail technicians because I am nice to them and respect them. But it was my first time there and instead of explaining to me where acrylic colors were or the dip colors, the receptionist told me only where dip was. Even after I explained (and put on the paper) that I wasn't sure between acrylic and dip. Then Hannah came and waited. So I felt I had to hurry and pick a color. They do have an amazing selection, which I will give it to them, BUT that makes it even harder to pick a color. I showed Hannah 2 pictures (that I got off of their own Yelp reviews) what I wanted done, short almond shape, and she seemed confused. To be quiet and to stop writing so much, my nails are not shaped correctly. They go to one side or the other. Some are longer than others. They are filed with the efile too much on some of them in the middle I can see the discoloration. And on the sides I can see my own nails. One nail just chipped today. 3 days after I got them done. I just went in to get it fixed was asking if I remember the color. No, sorry. I in a rush picked one so no. Then I was told to go find it. Okay...thanks for helping me and the customer service. This lady came over and said she could file it...sure fine. She filed it to a complete different shape. I told her, if you have to go shorter to get the same shape as the other ones, that is fine. We can file the other ones shorter. She filed my thumb and that's it. Long story short, will not be treating myself to this place again. When you go somewhere and spend your hard earned money, you expect results. It's like going to a restaurant and you expect your order to be correct and to be served refills and taken care of.
