BEWARE: Initial customer service was great. However, it was only AFTER our countertops were installed and many calls to complain they admitted the stone we purchased can develop water stains! AND, that they should be re-polished every year! Again, really love the stone, just hate that we were mislead on the product. We were sold on a product that was more durable than quartz. If we did it again, we would do quartz... or buy through a vendor who guarantees their product. I do not recommend Venetian/Denali Stone Works. read more

We could not be more pleased with the quality of the work and the customer service attitude of Venetian Stone Works in Woodinville, so we give them our highest recommendation. After choosing a stone for our kitchen counters that we liked very much, we met with a Venetian Stone technician who used computer technology to do the layout while considering our input to determine the layout, where the seam would occur, and where the veining design would look best. The counter installers came on time and did a fine job, but oops, the veining match did not occur as planned. A mistake when cutting the stone had happened. Within a couple of hours, the owner of Venetian came to our home and without any commentary from us, he took one look and said, "Don't worry, we will make it right." Wow! You cannot ask for more than that. Never once did he argue or make us feel guilty for expressing our initial disappointment that a mistake had occurred. True to his word, he reordered new slabs, expedited the order and within a few days, all was made right. The installers did a magnificent job, were polite, and cleaned up when done. For example, the seam is as close to invisible as could be and the veining matching is excellent...our counters look beautiful. We deeply appreciated that Venetian stood by their work even at much expense and inconvenience to their company. They assured us that they would make the counter installation exactly right and they did just that. Not all businesses operate with such integrity and doing business with their firm and employees was a pleasure--an example that there really are many good people in our world. And, now we have a beautiful new counter to enjoy. Check them out if you are looking for both natural stone, such as quartzite or marble as well as manufactured stone like Quartz. You can't go wrong. I had a small project in my bathroom. I made an appointment to visit their showroom to find a remnant stone. The gentleman who took me to their storage room wasn't very enthusiastic. When I asked him many questions, he simply said "I don't know.", without even making an effort to find the answer from his computer. He then left the room, and told me to search for the remnant stone that I want. When I finally found the stones that I like, I asked him to prepare and send me a quote. He promised he will do so. However, after almost a week, I haven't received any email or phone call from them. I feel that my project is not big enough to get his interest. It's complete waste of my time. read more

Venetian Stone Works and their sister company Denali Cabinets are incredibly non-responsive. I could not locate the sister company "Venetian Cabinets" so I felt I should post comments for both here. The showroom for both is in the same building. Hard to recommend a firm that doesn't / won't communicate with their paying customers and acknowledges problems but doesn't follow up on them. On the cabinet side, quality control appears to be somewhere between lax and non-existent. This becomes a bigger issue when the firm is also non-responsive. Due to the nature of the products (cabinets vs stone counters) we required much more interaction on the cabinet side of the business and that is where the firm failed miserably. The stone side frankly had less to do and fewer opportunities to demonstrate non-responsiveness. I cannot speak to other cabinet and stone companies - maybe they are all just as bad due to the high demand. But I don't think demand is an excuse for the shortcomings. My advice - don't engage with this firm until you have thoroughly vetted competitors. We engaged with this firm based on our designers high recommendation. We now feel that was a mistake. Having said all of that, the individual employees seem very likable, nice and sincere, but that doesn't make up for lack of follow up, non-response, and poor QC. read more

AMAZING customer service! And we weren't even their paying customer to begin with, which is even more amazing to us. We had quartz counter tops installed by another company and after only a few months there was a major issue they refused to warranty. Venetian Stone Works stepped in after referral from a high-end home builder in Bellevue. They were very kind and sympathetic to our situation and came to our home to assess the issue that arose from the previous company's work. The workers were kind, explained everything they recommended and above all did a BEAUTIFUL job. This company gained our trust and all our recommendations going forward for all the counter and stone work that our friends and family are going to need. True pros! read more

Great work done. From start to finish it was very professional and good service. They helped us visualize the stones, showed us how the seams would look like and then the final product was according to that. The stone selection at Denali Slab Studio and fabrication at Venetian Stone Works, worked out well for us. They gave us the option to bring our own fabricators, but we decided to get work done with the sister companies - Denali for stone and Venetian for fabrication and installation. On the day of installation, the guys were very professional and did an awesome job. They were patient and checking each and every bit of installation, mounting under mount sinks, backsplashes etc. Bonus - we also got a big slab with finished edges which we could use for our patio outdoor table later on. After a wonderful experience shopping over at Denali Slab, I asked if Denali did installation as well. No, but they referred me to Venetian Stone. Venetian Stone is the artisan side of the process, and does the "Museum Quality Framing" to the masterpiece artwork you chose at Denali. So, let's be honest, how many of us know how granite is processed for installation in our homes? I didn't. In my head it was something along the lines of a giant chop-saw and a big floor buffer that turned the slabs into counter-tops. It is not so crude as that, and it is a lot more involved. I can't remember all the things they showed me but one thing I do remember is that they use a water cutter. This allows them to cut the more brittle granite a lot easier and a lot faster. They also have the ability to polish, hone or leather ANY slab you pick out at Denali. :-) Leathering stone is so fantastic. It's so soft! I didn't chose it for my own kitchen, but I could pet that finish all day long. read more

About 6 weeks ago I called Venetian Stone Works to get an estimate on quartz countertops and cabinets and instead of me just emailing the measurements they insisted I had to come in and meet with them. I did this and met with Vince. When I got there it was very disorganized and Vince told me they had triple booked my timeslot, but he met with me and I provided measurements and drawings of what they needed. He told me he would send the estimate that evening. I have followed up with Vince and the office 3 or 4 times since then and still never received an estimate for the quartz or vanity cabinets from Venetian Woodcraft which is clearly run with Denali Rocks and owned by the same owners. They wasted several hours of my time in the middle of my work day for the in person appointment and never followed through. I would never use them in the future and I would not recommend them to anyone. My job was a medium size job also including about 14 lf of cabinets and potentially four different quartz countertops in the $6k to $12k price range. read more

I came to Venetian Stone Works to find a renmant for our new powder room. A nice gentleman helped me select a couple of options and asked me to fill out paperwork. I was then asked to go meet with one of their designers in the other building. I was already working with a designer and was in a bit of a hurry so I asked if someone could follow up with me by phone. No one ever called and when I called back and asked for a return phone call, I still got no response. It felt like my business was insignificant since it was small. Thought it was very unprofessional. Ended up working with another granite company who provided excellent service for our job. read more

Love this company! I bought granite in 2012 and again in 2014. My kitchen was so beautiful and they were very detailed when it came to the layout and matching up the patterns of the granite. Vince is an amazing designer and will take great pains to make sure you are happy with the layouts. In 2014 I helped a friend design their kitchen and they went with them because the showroom was like going to a high end art museum. All the slabs are in great lighting. They did a beautiful job on my friends kitchen and installed a master bath counter for me at the same time. Now I'm remodeling my guest bath and went back and shopped the 1/2 slab section and found the same granite that is in my master bath. So thrilled. Vince took the time to meet with me again and make sure I was helped. Can't wait for my granite! read more

After we agreed on a quote on remanent stone and installation date and timeframe for our bathroom countertops Venetian Stone Works left my family hanging by a thread. We called them several times before the installation date to confirm it because we needed to demolish our old tops and with a 2 year-old and a 3 month-old we needed to make sure installation was going to happen smoothly as we cannot be without running water in our bathrooms for several days. Well, despite getting confirmation, the day of the installation they did not show up and it was not until I called to follow up that they told me "they didn't have enough material for our back/sidesplashes." I felt coerced because it looked like they wanted me to pay more for our order. Really? You don't know how to do math AND you don't tell me until I call the day is supposed to happen despite having called you 24 hrs prior to confirm there we no issues for us to go ahead with demolition? We also arranged care for our little sons not to be in the house for nothing. I am still trying to sort this out with Venetian Stoneworks because we paid them a portion when they started the job. Let's hope this ends better. I will post an update with resolution. (hopefully!.) Stay tuned. Update: They ended up coming 4 hours late on the date of our appointment, and with incomplete materials, backsplashes were missing and 1 of the 4 sinks was the wrong model. After many hours of work and back and forth they finished the installation at 6 pm with my children at home because I did not have care for them in the afternoon (it was supposed to be from 8 am to noon!.) The counters came up nice, however one backsplash was cut with the wrong height but we were so over then that decided to accept the ones they had. Also, they scratched my hardwood floor on my guest bathroom with leftover stone pieces from opening the faucet holes and once faucet hole in our master bath was not evenly cut (8 inch faucet spread with the left hole too close to the center.) They did not charge me more in the end, but after all the pain we endured they should at least offered a discount to make things right. My final recommendations is: use this company to buy your stone, they have amazing variety and quality, as we as a great remanent yard, and competitive prices, BUT do your installation with someone else as their project management skills leave a lot to be desired. read more

Beautiful slabs of granite and marble, etc. Beatufilly displayed and wonderfully lit. I was concerned at first because I couldn't find the entrance but the space is a lot bigger than it seems at first. Unfortunately you pay for its price in beauty. We did not go with this company when trying to remodel our bathroom. They said that we woudl have to order a half slab (which is NOT half the price... but more than half!) and we would end up with loads of unused pieces. It may be good for other people.. read more

Here is the good stuff: A good to great selection of granite on site Willing to special order for your needs Clean and high tech shop Wide variety of edging available Limited design services provided They digitally measure your area You sit with them while they use computer programs that let you see your individual granite slab and choose which area is to be used for the installation (Very cool!!!!). Here is the not so good stuff: On the pricey side We had 3 installers but they had varying skill levels regarding installation (although they were very nice people). They were about 2 hours late for the installation which meant the day went late and tired installers are not always the best. Some holes were left in the walls where they had removed the old backsplash and I thought they would have fixed them because they knew we were not going to install a backsplash for a while. They did not fix them!! They saved the largest piece (our island with a cooktop) for last and cut the opening on site in our driveway. I had the brand new cooktop and back flow fan on site per their request. They measured them and then cut the opening, brought the heavy piece in and placed it on the island. Then they took my brand new stainless steel fan and placed it in the hole and then the cooktop also but it was obvious to me that the hole was not big enough and they placed the cooktop on top of the fan scratching it. They would try and remove some more granite and then placed (and further scratched) the items again until I suggested they put masking tape on the fan to protect it. Each time they would try to stuff the pieces in and say it was done but I refused to accept it. They finally shave an additional 1/8th of an inch off and everything fit fine. We love the final product and they would have had 5 stars if they would have been on time, fixed the damage to the walls and not scratched the appliances! read more

Before remodeling our condo in 2011 we searched for a great place to get our countertops for our kitchen and two bathrooms. We found it in Venetian Stone Works. Everybody was extremely helpful from picking a slab in our price range for the kitchen and bar. They also were fundamental in finding smaller remnants that worked perfect for our vanities and even better for our project cost! They came and template everything digitally and after fabrication, their team of professional installers made the process easy. Fast-forward to fall 2015 and we were in a new home and ready to remodel the kitchen and a powder room we went straight back to Venetian and worked with Vince Tafoya. Vince was great about finding how to fit everything into two Silestone slabs and our kitchen is perfect for us now. Last Friday, we went back for a couple of remnants for the last two vanities and found exactly what we were looking for and a price that was better than expected. I'm not one to write reviews but Venetian truly deserves the recognition. If you are looking for a new countertop, make sure to include Venetian in your search. You won't be disappointed! read more

I came by looking for a small remnant piece for a vanity. I was taken to a slab warehouse behind their shop with large slabs which they tried to push me into, even tho the piece I needed was less than a quarter size of the slab! I felt like my job was too small for them to deal with and I ended up going to another shop in Redmond who helped me get the piece I needed within my budget. This is an update on my experience with Venetian Stone Works. read the review below. i was really happy and willing to give them 5 stars. The installation looked beautiful. Well, i went to put in my sinks and they didn't fit!!! I had given them the Kohlar Model number, even printed out the paperwork with the dimensions and even sent them the link to the Cad Cam drawing to program the cutout. Obviously the can't read. I had a counter top with two beautiful oval holes that my sinks wouldn't fit in. They send out the installers to check it out and they hack the holes up with some power tools and yes, now my sinks fit (barely) but the granite looks like I went to Home Depot and bought some tools and did it myself. Sure the sinks will cover the holes but now the job looks like I hired some drive by guy in a van selling cheapo granite. So read my review below. I thought they were great but it is all smoke and mirrors. They go through all the steps, look professional and they still can't get it right. I have one more bathroom to do. I am not sure if I will come back. These people are the best. We went in looking for two remnants to do 2 small bathrooms. They showed us where the remnants were, explained the process and let us snoop to our hearts content. It took us a while to make up our mind. We were even out there with wall color samples on a Saturday afternoon when they are closed. (The remnants are outside.) We finally settled on two slab remnants that would just do our two bathrooms. they put a hold on our pieces and made an appointment to send someone out to make a template of our bathrooms. When the template maker showed up I was surprised that it is all done with photography now. The camera shows everything, level vanity, out of square walls, the works. They cut the granite to fit your problems. We went a week later and they had photographs of our remnants on the computer and then overlaid the bathroom dimensions so you could see how it was going to look. A week later their installers showed up. Very pleasant and they took great care not to make a mess and to clean up afterwards. They even brought their own shop vac. The job turned out beautiful. These installers are a great asset to the company. My wife loves the installations and you know if your wife is happy, everyone is happy. I highly recommend Venetian stone works. Don't think you can't afford a granite slap for a small project. For the price of someone doing ceramic tile we now have granite. read more

We loved the stone they have but the staff is young and unseasoned and made promises that were wrong Several times, some they had to honor and others the pretended were never said... and also left a clear flaw in our kitchen counter top and tried to claim it was a stone speck and when I reminded them of the blemish with a picture on my phone, I had emailed them earlier that they never replied to, they said oh yes that is not a natural mark and "oh yah I saw that when we installed it" but never said a word or made any offer of how to fix the blemish. Sadly we were very disappointed that such a nice product is serviced by a bunch of young kids who don't play by adult rules. (Reusing my review from Denali Slab & Tile Studio since they are half of the process of getting a slab.) I had Venetian Stone Works and Denali Slab & Tile Studio do my kitchen countertop. Denali Slab & Tile Studio is the design and material side of the operation; Venetian Stone Works is the fabrication and install. The partnership is seamless, and scheduling is fast and convenient. Prices are competitive. I was impressed by how fast and smooth the whole process turned out to be: 1. (Denali) Choose slab: beautiful slabs, great variety. Unlike other stores which treat prices like classified secrets, Denali puts the price on every slab - helps a lot with budgeting. 2. (Denali) Design kitchen and buy slab: Diana pretty much designed my whole kitchen. I chose the slab, described the look I was going for, and she suggested tile/paint/cabinets to go with the granite. The final result is stunning. 3. (Venetian) Templating: took less than 15 minutes. 4. (Denali) Design consultation: my slab was photographed and I got to choose exactly which patterns in the stone showed up in the final piece. 5. (Venetian) Delivery and install: it took less than a week to fabricate the stone, and it looked exactly like what I had seen in the design consultation. Installers were very careful, gave me recommendations for countertop care, and even offered to seal granite vanities that another company had installed. All in all, great experience! Venetian Stone works installation of my countertop and backsplash was completed on 10/22/10 with issues and my emails and phone calls where ignored for four weeks as I attempted to have the outstanding issues resolved. I ended up driving to the store in order to get a response from Venetian Stone Works and attempt to resolve the matter. I am giving Venetian Stone works one last chance next week to resolve the issue and then I am reversing the charges I put on credit card and going to hire another company to fix the substandard job they performed. I have spent over ten hours attempting to get Venetian Stone Works to fix the poor craftsmanship of their installation and stone work. The issues with my installation are: 1) Caulk was not applied to part of the backslash for a 2 inch span. 2) Not enough caulk was placed between the backslash and counter top in several places and in order to get out small debris I have to use a vacuum cleaner. 3) Several shims are not covered like the others making the installation look not uniform when viewed from underneath. 4) The two larger pieces of backsplash were cut too wide and too short in length because of measurement mistakes at template. After the stone was brought back to be ripped to the correct width it was still missed by the crew that they were too short. At a second installation time three days later the installer realized the mistake and was unable to make a butt joint. In an attempt to resolve the matter the installer attempted to make a an inside miter joint but failed after three attempts. After the failed attempts of the installer butted the stone together and filled the gap with epoxy without adequately taping or feathering the seam. 5) The backsplash bottom edge is chipped along the entire length because it was not ground and polished after being ripped and installed this way. I do not recommend this company to anyone primarily for their lack of customer service and failure to fix minor mistakes due to poor craftsmanship. read more

Beware, the quality they claim is nowhere to be found! They have a nice showroom, so I was expecting nice work. But that is not what my wife and I received! They cut our vanity too short and tried to cover it up by piling tons of silicone, that by the way did not match! We politely asked if they could add backsplash to cover THEIR screw up. They said yes, but they wanted an extra $300 for it! Not acceptable!!! We should've known by their pushy salesmen that clung to us like leeches! We ended up tearing it out and buying a vanity w/stone on it from Costco. read more

Initially I went in and toured all their slabs. Vince the designer was busy at the time, so I noted my favorites, left my info and asked for a call back to make an appointment. I never received a call. I emailed twice and no reply back. I went in again and was set up with both my design, in-home measurement and final sign off appointment all at once. We have yet to install but even that is set for only a week later. We started off rocky (Vince is a BUSY guy!) but know I know that is because he really takes his time with each customer. Just get on his calendar! I would highly recommend them and will use them again! read more

While I believe Venetian has strong moral values and convictions in providing high-quality materials, professional mannerisms, common courtesy and a commitment to customer satisfaction, my experience did not meet the criteria of high-quality customer service, accurate measurements in aspects of quartz stone fabrication, the quality of stone had scratches and blemishes the day of installation. The sales rep, while courteous and professional, confirmed the scratches and blemishes existed and said they would fade when cleaned with Bon Ami. His attempts and separate installation crew attempts, failed to eliminate the scratches. The installation crew used a colored filler pen, however, the third and last attempt by the crew used Acetone to get rid of the scratches and wiped the colored fill away. I sent an email to Venetian's owner and second in command about these issues and was told by Venetian's sales rep that he was given authority to represent the owner of the company and ultimately stated that he/they refused taking responsibility for the scratches and marks. Kitchen remodels are difficult from the "getgo" and I'm now left with not only a substandard product but a very dissatisfied customer with a bad experience. As a business owner of services, I would never dismiss a customer's concerns nor pass it off as unworthy of review and consideration. If Venetian is interested in providing high-quality product and good customer service, the litmus test is when their product or services don't meet up with their customer's needs and expectations. What principles do they stand for in resolution of issues? What action/s do they take on behalf of their customer's bad experience? Is it enough that this company ONLY relies upon satisfied customers with good testimonials. Does this alone make Venetian a reputable company? The answer is unequivacolly, "NO!" Regardless the size of project or the dollar amount on the ticket, no job large or small should be treated any differently. It is a matter of principle and this company does not live up to their commitment to verbal agreements nor customer satisfaction. read more

Their staff was kind and friendly, and their showroom was breath taking.
