The wood base feels very solid and you can tell it's real craftsmanship when you see it up close. The cushions are deep but still supportive. I think it which was important since this is our main couch and we wanted it for weekend lounging. The best thing about it is that it doesn't feel mass-produced. I think it has something to do with the overall proportions and the way the upholstery fits into the frame that makes it feel like it was built specifically for our living room space. We were seeking an interior decorator to help us post-construction with the choice of layout, furniture, drapes, decor, and the curating of our global artifact collection without insisting on major structural changes. Chelsea was perfect for this challenge! The major difference was her ability to work with our conservative yet coastal "wannabee" aesthetic and meet our desire to create a multi-purpose room. We had a hodgepodge of furniture and global artifacts from living abroad and traveling and we were very stubborn about giving up on our own ideas. We were very hands on in researching options and that could have been an impediment to any other decorator. We were open to being coached and educated. Chelsea showed us 3D renderings at the beginning of the process to help us visualize her ideas and gave us options regarding colors and price points. The process was iterative and complex for just one long room. We started with a virtual consultation contract which worked well. When we saw how she could make a difference we quickly changed to an in-person contract. What a delightful and patient consultant, Chelsea is! And her professionalism regarding appointments, Zoom calls, input, choices, options, ordering, invoices, and setting boundaries, while remaining attentive, was very appreciated. I have been shopping all around for couches and one of the places I visited was Bob's Furniture. I walked in, was happy to be warmly greeted and then left to shop. I checked out all the couches they had to offer, made some notes and then rolled out. Since then, I went to a bunch of other shops but kept coming back to a couch I saw at Bob's. I'm still shocked because I ordered the couch late afternoon on Friday and it was delivered today Tuesday morning. That is the fastest turnaround time ever! Delivery today was fantastic, they brought up the couch & had great communication. You can actually keep an eye on the delivery all day to have a good idea of when it will be delivered, it's great! I paid $150 for the BOBtastic White Glove Delivery so they bring it into your home & even take the trash. Everything was perfect! I'm writing this review on my new couch and I'm obsessed. Based upon wasting my time again, I filed a Consumer Complaint with the California Attorney General's office. See attached below for link. I don't expect much to happen, but I feel better informing someone that Living Spaces misleads its customers. So my original review stands: Avoid the Living Spaces Care Free Plan unless you like jumping through hoops to use it. I purchased a $105 Care Free Plan because of its "Win-Win" benefit, which promised that if I never filed a claim, I could apply the cost of the plan toward a future purchase. When I tried to redeem it five years later, Living Spaces admitted they had no record of sending the certificate that contained the terms and conditions. They then informed me that additional purchase requirements applied--requirements that had never been disclosed to me. A benefit advertised as "Win-Win" shouldn't require customers to spend more money just to access the value they already paid for. Very disappointing customer service experience.
