They are very fair priced and worth bringing your vehicles to whether it's for an oil change, gas fill ups, alignments, tire rotations or even new tires, new rotors/brakes, tuneups, suspension/steering work, any type of electrical issues or even for a NYS Inspection they are the shop to go! They are a very well-connected when it comes to part distribution shops in the area so they can easily access parts for your vehicle usually within 20 minutes of calling it in! They do occasionally accept walk-ins from time to time, but it's always better that you call ahead of time and make an appointment. You will always be guaranteed fast, friendly, courteous service from the crew over there! They also have some of the cheapest fuel prices for 87 octane gas, 91 Premium Octane Non-ethanol gasoline, as well as very fair priced diesel, and grill propane cylinder exchanges in the area! They also offer towing services if you get stranded or get into a crash! They only have 4 lifts but the crew usually pumps out over a dozen cars a day! I took it to Sharp Transmissions because of the reviews and its a transmission shop. I work on my truck as much as I possibly can but dealing with repairing a transmission is out of my wheel house. I dropped off the truck in the morning and I got a call about 2 hours later. Milt told itme he had inspected the car test drove and it was not the tranny it was the power steering pump that had a small not noticeable leak but the fluid resevoir was almost dry and that was the noise I was hearing coming from the truck. He added power sterring fluid and solved the problem but let me know it something that will need attention down the road. I thanked him I picked up my truck later that evening. Drove the truck home ran like a charm. I will certainly take it to him again when I need work done. I appreciated his honesty he could have told me I needed a new transmission instead I got a honest and fair evaluation and fix. Thanks Milt glad to see that there are still good folk out there. Oh, the joy of owning an old Jeep (now a quarter century old). Sprung a big transmission fluid…read moreleak when down in New Jersey on New Years Day. The AAA tow truck operator asked me where I wanted it to be towed, and I immediately said "Sharp Transmission." The dropped it off and put the key in the after hours slot. Next day,I called Milt and said, take a look and give me my options. No rush, I said, since I have other cars I can drive. Milt and his crew found some time to not only diagnose the problem (two rubbng hoses put a hole in one), but to repair the problem. Same day! I picked the car up this morning and it is working perfectly. Like I said before, if you are not taking your car to Sharp, you should start doing so. Great service, excellent communication, attention to detail... Highly recommended.

I got the inspection done today and the experience was great. Jay, one of the owners, welcomed me to the shop, very friendly. I sat in the waiting area after they started the inspection. There was another customer there and we started chatting. He couldn't praise the guys there enough. This other customer and I started lamenting how a lot of businesses don't provide the same customer experience we were use to from when we were younger (yes, bunch of old guys lamenting the world is going to...) and he said J&J is one of the exceptions. Jay showed me some additional concerns on my car...brake and tire wear. He showed me the problem areas and said I have some time left but these expenses are coming down the pike. It was refreshing to see this sales approach...I was aware he was upselling the other services they offer and I was totally happy with that...that's what all businesses must do. It was the approach, education, and showing me why the repairs would be needed that convinced me that when I need the work to be done, I will go to Jay and his team. Well done guys and keep it up! PS: they have the cutest wall of kids pictures that puts a smile on your face.

Was shouted at over the phone when I called to ask for an update on the car I had dropped off. Was told he wouldn't work on it and to have it towed away to another shop citing that there were "too many cars in line" "people are always calling and interrupting me while I'm working". When picking up the car I tried to explain that I was only calling because of the timeline they gave me and the owner shouted at me threatened to fight me in the office?! Honestly, it seemed like he was having a nervous breakdown, so yeah, wouldn't recommend. Pretty insane way to treat customers.

I was looking for a place to bring my mercury grand marquis, Close by to me where I live in…read moretillson. I see that this shop was only about 10 minutes away. In fact I had passed it many times over the years. On the way to Stone Ridge. I called up and the lady who answered the phone was very friendly. She asked for all my information. She did ask for my license plate number. Then she was able to look up the year and make and model of the car. I was impressed by that. They seem to be very thorough right away. I told her I needed them to look at the front tires because there was a A vibration from the front tires and some noise coming from the front tire also. I had brought it to a shop down in Rockland County to put on new tires after I got a blowout. I came in and they pull the car into the shop area. One of the employees Kevin introduced himself. He offered me some coffee and showed me in the area where they had a couple of comfortable seats donuts potato chips and some other snacks Soon after they pulled in the car they called me back to take a look at it. Nick the head mechanic had the car up on the lift. He told me that the other shop didn't balance the wheels at all or did them in properly in the front. He also told me that the shop lied when they said that the sensor from the tire had fallen off the front tire and they glued it back on. In fact they broke the sensor when they were doing something with one of the front tires. Instead of cleaning out the tire they left all the junk inside the tire So Nick cleaned it out and balanced the tires .Then another employee took the car for a test drive to make sure everything was OK. I was definitely pleased with thoroughness of the work. The car was coming up on needing to get transmission fluid changed and also the other fluids. Brake fluid Power steering fluid etc. New fuel filter. I made an appointment and brought the car back. Since I live only about 10 minutes away they said they were able to drive me home. Then when the car was done called me and picked me up again. Nick the head mechanic and owner is very knowledgeable and really gave me some good tips on what I should get done and not get done on the car. For example they said that the rotors were warping a little bit, but the brake pads were still good,said to not doing anything yet. I'm sure other shops would've told me, to do the brake pads and rotors. I definitely had a fantastic experience bringing my car here. Nick Kevin and another technician I talked to really know their stuff. Very knowledgeable professional thorough. The prices are very fair as well. Actually lower than I expected them to be. I definitely highly recommend this shop for all your car needs

I would definitely recommend making an appointment instead of just dropping in as they are extremely busy. Everyone was very helpful while I was there. Parking is limited.
