Went in for a gel mani-pedi, the assistants were working on both at the same time. During the pedicure, I felt a sharp pain on my toe nail, and the assistant just wiped off the blood coming from my nail, so I thought it was probably normal. However during the rest of the pedicure I felt pain and discomfort that I thought would be temporary and part of the pedicure since the assistants didn't pay mind to the bleeding. I paid full price and tipped, but I've been having pain, discomfort and still bleeding for a week now. Apparently this was not supposed to happen and the assistants did not acknowledge this to me. I moved here from the bay a few months ago and have been commuting to get my nails done cuz I have not been able to find a salon that has the same quality and care as my salon in the bay does. I thought I'd try Venice Salon because of the reviews. The salon is beautiful and it's really nice they offer you a drink with your pedicure service but the quality and detail in both the manicure and pedicure was lacking. The really sweet woman who did my nails, did not remove all the gel from my previous manicure and did not clean and file my nails very well. It's only been a week and 3 of my gel nails are already chipped! My last manicure I had done with my regular lady from the bay lasted over a month with no chips!! And the same with the pedicure, the lady barely cleaned and filed my toe nails. You're paying for the vibes at this location (pretty salon, complimentary drink, scrubs, etc) and not necessarily the quality. My nails chipped in a week, now I have to spend more money and get them done again sooner than later. Also, my nail salon in the bay is cheaper!! The search continues... read more

Communication was awful! I said I did not want any massage on my feet, yet she proceeded to do so. Manicure is terrible! The woman asked me what color I wanted but insisted I get a different color. It took me telling her no I want that color and another man brought two other colors for me to see. So rude! She shaped my nails like bubbles with the dip polish and didn't even completely remove my old polish. All for over $100! I'll never return! Update: I went to see Tony today and my nails look absolutely gorgeous. I'm so in love. From now on I'll be seeing Tony every time!! I went for a full set. The salon is really beautifully decorated. Very modern and clean. I was assigned Kelly for my service. Kelly was nice, but the lighting was low in her station and she was having a hard time seeing without her tiny lamp. My nails came out ok. One of them had a big divot and I had to go get it fixed. I will go back and try again with a different technician. I really want to like this place because I can tell they put in a lot of effort to create a beautiful and welcoming environment. I will update after my next service. read more

New and super clean. The staff are nice, and friendly with each other too. Andy did my nails, he sure makes nail days an experience! Funny and happy, you can't help but laugh & smile. He started off by showing me his work & asked questions to make see what I like & then offered suggestions. FREAKIN great! Told him I liked black and glitter and from there he did this definitely out of my comfort zone and boring plain black nails, but I'm glad I didn't feel pushed into something I didn't want. It's complimentary via being included in the price. Nice touch. oh, before I forget if you give up your telephone number you will be bombarded with discounts & offers for your upcoming visits. June was was nail tech and Haley gave me a very detailed and relaxing pedicure with gel color. They had their grand opening June 25th, but I slipped in there a few days before to beat the crowds. Happy I did. Owner was very attentive. June and Haley wanted more than anything to make me happy and the end product was very impressive.
