The girl I originally wanted was busy but the one that took care of me did amazing!! She really took the time to pick out the right colors and do a good job. And when I asked her if she likes doing more interesting nails she agreed and "loves what she does"! So if you want to do something fun make sure to ask for Cindy! I have had a few pedicures here and they are usually great but today my experience was so bad I won't be coming back. when I sat down no one attended to me for about 30 minutes, so long that the water my feet were in turned cold. another tech finished with her client and had to tell people "can someone help her?" I almost walked out. finally someone helped me and got a phone call after he grabbed the hot towels (the last part of service) and decided that his phone call was more important than giving me the hot towel treatment which I was looking forward to after my pretty crappy experience. won't be going back! read more

I was Very impressed with this place. I found them on here, Yelp, due to their good reviews so I am writing one of my own. When you walk in, the first thing you feel is calm because it's quiet and it has an open concept atmosphere. Everything is very clean and wide open. I was lucky enough to get Angel as my pedicure technician she was very gentle and she didn't make me feel bad for having bad feet. And my feet look great now. And Tony did an Ombre on my hands...I had never even heard of that before (it's been 15 years since getting my nails done...alot has changed). My nails look beautiful. The manager, Andy, was running that place right, making sure everyone was happy. Oh, and plus they offer you beverages, mimosas, etc. at no charge. They also do waxing and facials too. Oh my gosh how impressed I was with my first appointment here for a pedicure with Kelly! This salon is only one year old and they seem to have figured out what a client likes. Been coming here for almost a year now. Ann does my dip nails and does a great job. Did my toes this time also. I have had a couple of times where I had an appointment and when I got there my person was not there and no one had called to confirm or let me know there was an issue. One time Angel did my hands and also did a great job. They have specials every now and then which makes things more affordable as this is an expensive habit to keep up. $65 to get my nails done. This is my second time here and first time getting a manicure, first time I got a pedicure and it went fine. Let's just say I won't be coming back. I have only gotten my nails done a few times in my life but this was probably one of the worst nail jobs I've ever received and it was done by Andy. I want to clarify I didn't have an appointment and only did a walk in on Friday. However I made sure to ask ahead of time if there was enough room to squeeze me in and I was told yes. Right away I was seated and introduced to Andy, at first it seemed to go well and he asked me if I wanted something simple I said yes absolutely, showed him what I wanted and it turned out to be his own work! So at this point I am comfortable with where this was headed. The first 5 mins or so he seemed fine working on my nails, not sure what happened but a little after that it felt like he started to rush and he started shaving my nails down faster. I'm assuming that at this point it's because they felt busy and he felt the need to rush to get me done and out of there. Prior to shaving down my nails (not sure what the technical terms are) he shaved my cuticles and oh my goodness it was painful. Like I've said I have only gotten my nails done a few times in my life but I have never felt so much pain getting my nails/ cuticles shaved. After he was done he began to start shaving down my glued tips, to me I feel this is the most important part when doing nails, he started to shape the tip and might I say POORLY my right hand came out decent but my left hand...let's just say they where all curving to the left. It was a really bad nail job. I had to call the store back when I got home because I just couldn't let my nails look like this. So they accommodated me by fixing the ones I asked them too the next day which came out decent. However, by looking and the nail tech lady's face who fixed it, I could tell right away she knew that the job Andy did wasn't good. Andy has done a ton of amazing nails from what it looks like in the yelp picture. I happen to be one of the unlucky ones who got the short end of the stick and received a bad nail job. Over all this place is very friendly, and they accommodated you within time and reason. If they are busy though, read the atmosphere, because they or at least Andy won't give you the time you need to get you nails done properly. read more

Today 3/13. Made an appointment for a pedicure as the reviews seemed good. 45.00 for a basic seemed a bit high for the area. I typically pay 35.00. Worst I have had in a long time. She barely trimmed the dead skin around my toes. Instead she used one of those electric sanding tools and kept hitting my skin which was painful. When I mentioned it after she did it a fourth time she said the skin was thick. (And?). She pressed hard. She used a metal tool to push cuticles back and was rough. It hurt. I was gripping the arms on the chair the whole time. I told her to be careful. She did not use a tool to clean around the nails or under them. She barely scrubbed my feet with the pumice scrubber . Did not do back of toes. She then said you get a five minute massage with the basic pedicure. Never heard of such a thing. I just looked at her. I mentioned my left foot had been sore and asked her to massage it a little more. She did not. The basic pedicure she did was rough, mechanical and timed to finish in p30 minutes. Horrible service. I don't know her name but gave her a smaller tip. More than she deserved. I was looking forward to a relaxing pedicure and left with regrets. read more

If you want to go to a salon that puts money over customer satisfaction this is the place for you! I was going to this salon every two weeks for the past two months. I had three different nail techs do my nails over this time. I liked my nails every time! The last experience I had was truly terrible. I made an appointment for 6pm for a dip removal and a new dip set. They close at 7pm. I had never had dip removal prior to this appointment so I didn't know how long this would take. The tech removed my nails and I requested square shape with tips added. I showed her my inspo photo (square nails with a chrome French tip) and she said she could do it. She put the tips on and proceeded to dip my nails but she said they were too long. (Which they were not very long at all) so she asked if she could cut them shorter. I agreed but she cut them all in a rush and they were all slanted. She tried to file them but never got them straight. She dipped the shorter nails but they were very uneven. Some thick & lumpy with color variations. At this point she told me to come back tomorrow for free to start over on the set as it was past 7 pm. I told her I couldn't due to my schedule. I really just hoped she could file them down and even them out and I would live with it. She tried but it was a lost cause. We tried to do the chrome tips as I was just going to accept the set as it was due to not having anymore time to come back before a trip. She told me the set was ugly and I needed to come back. I agreed and said I would figure out a way to come in two days. The time was now 8pm & I had been there for 2 hours. The manager was there as well and the tech was very nervous and told me she was in trouble for staying late. That made me feel so bad for her. The manager made me an appointment for 4pm with a different tech. "Her best tech" I came back for the scheduled appointment thinking I would be compensated for my time and as the previous tech said receive a free set. I walked in and was sat with another tech and she told me my inspo pics price and I mentioned what happened and if I would receive a discount. The manager came and sat next to me and offered me 10% off my set. She told me with an annoyed attitude that she had to stay late as well and truly did not care that I had to come back for a second time in the same week and sit for another 2 hours. I told her that I disagree with the discount but I would pay and never come back. She did not care in the slightest. So I did just that. My set done by "her best tech" is chipping and it's been less than 2 weeks. Highly disappointed as I was a great tipping customer. read more

Beyond frustrated. My nails are stuck together from acrylic and I can feel the foils on my nails. The lady who helped me was in such a rush because they were closing. The salon itself is wonderful and I received a very relaxing pedi. However, the nail tech was tolling her eyes the entire time and frustrated doing my nails. I am not a picky person but this set really made me frustrated, they were bot filed correctly I have acrylic from my nails to my cuticles. One of my nails looks chipped. l will be going tomorrow morning for a refund on my nails. I was charged $80 for this set and honestly it was not worth it. I fo expect a full refund. The first time I went you can tell the person that was working on my nails was new because he kept asking one of the nail stylist how to do the shape and design of a picture that I showed him. It was not exact but OK, but highly priced so I decided to not return, the reason I went back the second time is because the original place I go to is booked and I got a text message from Venice nails that they are giving a 15% discount so I figured to give them another chance. This time I showed this girl a picture of what I wanted and she did the same thing by asking the nail stylist next to her how to do it, I was in the chair for over two hours when I hit the two hour mark that was when she was designing my nails and it didn't look exactly what I wanted and at this point I just wanted to hurry and get out because I had someone babysitting my baby girl and I needed to get back. Then when it was time for me to pay, they said it was going to be $100! And if I paid cash it would be $85. It was over priced as you can see. I got a pedicure priced at $80 with gel polish but still ended up paying $72 after the discount. Not sure how the math adds up. Regarding the pedicure it self, nothing special offered. Received the following: - Foot soak with salt & lemon slices - Organic sugar scrub - Mud masque - Massage butter - Callus removal treatment (not an actual treatment, just a pumice scrub) - 12 min hot towel & massage (it wasn't 12 minutes) - Paraffin wax treatment I wouldn't come again. Same service offered at my regular place for $45 but at a premium for absolutely no value. The location is pretty sketchy as well. read more

I went here because it looked good! I knew nothing about it. They opened just over a month ago. With the 20% discount they are running, I paid $88 for a Gel Mani-Pedi. Haley did my pedicure and was very gentle and always asked me if I was okay. The utensils were sanitized and came from a packaging and she wore gloves when working on my feet. I came to Venice for a much needed pedicure/fill last minute around their grand opening a few years back and had the best experience with Lauren. She took her time trimming, shaping and cleaning up my toenails, periodically checking to make sure I was happy with her work.
