I have mixed feelings about my meal here. They are new owners and they have scaled back the menu. I was told my pizza would be ready in 45 minutes and it took a lot longer because the first pizza fell apart, new cook. When I got it home it looked very different but did taste good. Seems like they need to keep working at it. I will try them again. read more

This place is off the beaten path for most but is a local favorite. The pizza is always good,wings are plump and have a good flavor. When we have had pasta, it's been good when you go with the basics (chicken parmigiana, lasagna, fettuccine, etc.). The plate my daughter had was stuffed shrimp and she did not really care for much of it. The rest was great! They feature karaoke on Thursday's which is a lot fun. They do have a bar side and restaurant side. If not busy or wild, they will allow the older kids on the bar side. The staff is wonderful. Now for the not so good. The place is in dire need of a facelift. I don't know when the last time the walls had seen a good coat of paint. The floors I am certain get swept and mopped everyday but with how old they are, you can't tell. The bathroom - there is only one. There are others are not working. If they could take care of aesthetics, this place would get more than 3 stars from me. read more

It took over an hour to get here-- and we live very close. I should have taken a pic right when it got here but I didn't think to. Our cheese pizza was quite pale- a little undercooked. Came in after a long hike, ordered a cheeseburger and pepperoni pizza, Burger was good but the fries really stood out. The pizza was delicious tasted very fresh. The lasagna and calzones are outstanding! The decor not so much. It wouldn't cost an arm and a leg to go to a thrift store and get some decent Italian prints for the walls and drapes. The table we sat at had STOCK photos in the frame of various aged models that come with the frame!!! We almost cracked up over that. The aged once white now grey floors are a horrible scuffed up mess and the drapes are aged and yellow. I had to bat away a fly the entire meal and the last time I was there I had to bat a fly the entire time. I worry what the kitchen may look like. The waitress came over promptly and hands us menus-they are the fold over glossy paper type like you get in your to-go bag-and informed us none of the prices were correct they had all been increased! Someone on a budget may find this frightening. Would it cost that much to get correct prices on these tiny toss away brochures? Maybe order a handful (or make them) of large menus to sit on the tables? This is not a huge restaurant-less than ten tables or so-so I see no reason not to have a legit full size dinner menu for table diners versus a throw away paper menu that is incorrect anyway. Another thing I found odd on my last two visits is they bring one person out their plate and the other person has to wait for their meal! Everyone needs to be served at the same time. That makes things very uncomfortable for diners. Long after our meal, it was obvious the waitress didn't keep an eye on our table after we were served and never came with the check-we finally gave up and had to hunt her down. PLEASE keep an eye on your tables we were the ONLY ones there. It seems most customers hang out on the bar/pool table side but the diners do need to be checked a little more often. Again, the food is excellent- but there is certainly room for improvement elsewhere inside. Alas, it takes money to make money-and this business certainly does not spend a dime for a comfortable, authentic experience with correct menu prices when we sit down. read more

This place used to be ok. Until they sent us something unlike any pizza I ever had before. I calling to complain and was offered " a free pizza " on our Next order. Well, our Next order was our Final order. The owner/ Manager- refused to make good on the " refund/ free pizza- but did discount it by 20%. That's not right. Not to mention that it just wasn't good pizza. We found MR Jims Pizza after this fiasco and have not looked back. MR Jims is awesome! read more

I've done take out and eat in. The food is delicious. The pizza for a place in Texas is great. I grew up in NYC and have had a variety of local Pizza their's is as close as you can get short of NYC tap in the dough. Repeat customer here. Also the prices are reasonable. read more

Been ordering from Venice for over 5-6 years. They never disappoint. On football days or holidays, the drivers can run a little ragged. However, for the most part they're speedy service, great food, and I have yet to ever have a problem with an order. Would highly recommend if you're looking for some good Italian food! read more

First time we went here there was only 1 person in the restaurant. The server was a young kid and didn't know the menu. Ordered pizza and fettuccine Alfredo. The pizza was good nothing fancy and the Alfredo sauce was bland. Place is old and dated. It was clean. The woman behind the bar might be the owner was laying across the beer coolers talking to people sitting at the bar. Was kind of weird. Nothing I would drive out of the way to go too. I eat here once and a while because I do not want to drive far. That's it. This is the McDonald's of Italian food. Don't expect much. The sausage on the pizza is the same crap that looks like rabbit turds and comes out of a freezer bag. They don't know anything about Italian sausage. The meatballs are just nasty, frozen meat, probably thawed in water. The gyros are those gross things, again, from a freezer bag. And, the bar is almost always dead. I've been trying to find good or decent NY style pizza since I moved back to TX 10 months ago and this place finally ended my search. The pizza is exactly like the pizza I grew up on in Lido Beach on Long Island, its also the same you would find anywhere in Manhattan when you were looking for a slice. At $12 for a large cheese the price is well beyond excellent and I'll be back many times over. On a related note, my company had a meeting there a few weeks back (when I discovered the place) and everyone in our 20 person party left full,satisfied and happy with both the service and the product. We had about 10 pizzas total, from just cheese to meat lovers and all between and each was as good as the next, not one single bad slice in the bunch. The only thing you should know in advance is the place is a little run down and you have to walk through the front bar area to get to the dinning area but its all over 10 steps so it didn't bother me but someone else might take issue with it. My advice is walk quickly, the food is well worth anything negative. read more

No. Just no. I have ordered from this place multiple times and because it *was* the only place that delivered to us, we pretty much HAD to put up with it's many problems. Especially when you can't drive anywhere.. Luckily, there are now other delivery options and we will NEVER order from here again. 1st of all, the main staff is rude. 2nd, the pizza is usually burnt on the bottom. 3rd, I've learned to NEVER order during lunch or a few hours after. They have a lunch special where you can get 2 pcs of pizza and a small salad. UGH! If you want fresh pizza, DONT ORDER THIS!! That is because when you order say a pepperoni pizza, add mushrooms; they then get a cheese or pepperoni pizza that is old and has been sitting there for however long and REHEAT it with the toppings you added. I went through this several times, so it's not a fluke or accident. It's a cheap way for them to still charge you full price for old, stale - then reheated and burnt - pizza. Thankfully, we now have other options. Never again. read more

This place is delicious! The chicken Alfredo pizza and chicken parmesan is my all time favorite. Such a good vibe with pool tables and a jut-box along with a free photo booth.
