Had an order delivered from this restaurant, and it was packaged very well and the pasta arrived steaming hot. I ordered the half size of lasagna, a side, Caesar salad salad, and a slice of New York cheesecake. The lasagna, even being a half order, was very filling and tasty. I appreciate that they put enough marinara on it to keep it from drying out. The sauce was very flavorful and very tomato flavored which I appreciate. The Caesar salad was a good amount for a side order, and it looked very fresh and they even packed two sides of Caesar dressing (I only needed just less than one for my preference). I haven't tried the cheesecake yet, but it looks like a nice traditional, New York style cheesecake. Overall, I'm impressed with what I received and for the price. I have left the Las Vegas area and moved back to Texas my home state. So tonight I was wanting some Italian food and while I was browsing the places around my new home I came across Luigi's. The menu looked pretty good and the reviews weren't bad so I decided to give it a try. The area I live in is near Ft Worth and Dallas. So between the two cities there are a bunch of littler cities giving the area around me quite a large amount of places to try. It's closer to Ft Worth but in Haltom City which is an old city that was a rival to my high school growing up. Since I have moved back, the old places are not so much a memory as the new places are unknown so I thought I'd give Luigi's an opportunity to impress so I ordered. Service was fairly decent and delivery time was good, about same as with other delivery times. I ordered Diavolo. It is Spaghetti sautéed in a spicy (3 levels of spice) light marinara sauce. Served with warm bread. I got medium spice but what I got was pepper flakes. I added sausages and there were two plumb sausages smothered in the marinara sauce and noodles. The food arrived as promised, within 40 minutes and was still very warm, burned my fingers and my tongue! I had also ordered extra cheesy bread, it too arrived very warm and the cheese the kind that's good and yummy. To top it all off I ordered a turtle cheese cake. Cheese cake topped with pecans and drizzled with Carmel sauce. My meal was very good and I would definitely order again. It's really not too far and would be worth a sit down meal based on what I have ordered today. read more

The shrimp scampi was everything I was hoping for! The shrimp were cooked perfectly, the pasta was coated in a delicious buttery garlic sauce, and the fresh lemon added the perfect finishing touch. The rolls (not pictured because we devoured them as soon as they hit the table!) were crispy on the outside, warm and soft on the inside. We drove 15 minutes from home to try this place, and it was absolutely worth it. We'll definitely be back! read more

The huge clump of cheese on top was burned so badly, that it was like cement and whatever slivers of eggplant that may have been in the dish were completely disintegrated. The garlic cheese bread had ample amount of cheese but lacked a garlic flavor and the marinara sauce is just crushed up tomato's really lacking the full flavor profile. I didn't do the pickup myself so I can't speak to the service or ambience. The pizza is fine, nothing crazy, a little greasy and maybe a bit chewy as far as the dough goes. Good amount of pepperoni put on. The garlic bread - perhaps the worst I've ever had from a restaurant before. It was cheap and it more than lived up to that low cost by being the most unreasonably crunchy garlic bread with very minimal overall flavoring. This was a hard decision between giving him tea 3/4 rating but overall I needed to give a 3. We got food delivered. So I cannot comment on the restaurant itself however the food was pretty good! We got the family pan of "trio pasta". The menu sadly doesn't tell you what the trio consists of (part of the downgraded rating). It has manicotti, lasagna and ravioli. My other part of Redding a meal that we didn't know what was really part of it was the whole thing was covered in cheese and all looked like a lasagna. So we really had to dig to find things. Recommendation to owner is to label it somehow. My other half and I got a diavolo spicy pasta. We added spinach, mushrooms and tomatoes. It was VERY hot but VERY GOOD! My only oddness is that they loaded the bottom of the pasta with non cooked spinach so the bottom of the dish was watery. I'm overall I liked it and will be back. So disappointed in this restaurant. I ordered cheese ravioli which the ravioli itself was fine it's clearly frozen and not fresh but the taste was ok. The cheese they put on top and then BURN was disgusting it tasted like paper. I also ordered a meatball and same thing the top was burned and honestly not even edible. Did they just forget to take it out of the oven? The cannolis are horrible, the lemon cake was fine but small. Only thing remotely decent was the rolls which honestly look like any other kind of roll, no garlic or anything to make it stand apart. We love this place. It's a great family owned spot with big portions and delicious food. The rolls are always a hit, so soft and full of flavor. We absolutely love the Tuscan chicken too. This was our third visit and everything is always fresh and made with love. So glad we didn't listen to that one off review. You should give this place a try. Yelp led me here for dinner a week ago as I was feeling for Italian that night and it was nearby. Luigi's is located in an old strip center with parking in front. When I walked in I was immediately taken aback by the interior decor. At first I thought I was in a beer joint type of bar. It was dim with white Christmas tree type lights hanging from the ceiling providing most of the illumination and there were two pool tables smack dab in the middle of the dining room with tables and booths at one end. There is no bar here and it could have been cooler inside temp wise. I ordered the Pasta Tortellini Alla Panna for $12 listed on the menu.... I added mushrooms to the meal for another $1 listed on the menu.... First to come out was the complimentary salad and I must say it was huge! One of the largest comp salads that I can remember and it was good tasting too with white cheese, diced tomatoes on top of iceberg and romaine lettuce with good tasting ranch dressing on the side. The picture doesn't do it justice regarding its size. A bread roll was then brought to the table and I enjoyed it too. Immediately I thought this would be at least a 4 meal especially at those prices..... After about 20 minutes the entree arrived in a tin pan like it was a to go order which is unusual for an Italian eatery to serve its food that way for dine in customers. Usually tortellini pasta dishes are served with a light colored sauce but this dish was dark with multi colored pasta shells with cheese inside and the sauce was dark and the added mushrooms made it look actually darker. Taste wise I initially liked it but soon realized that the dish needed more sauce and was a little dry. While it was a lot of food it reminded more of a casserole dish than a pasta dinner. That's when the meal slipped to a 3. Finally when it came time to pay, I noticed that my bill was higher than expected and saw that the entree was actually $14 and the mushrooms were like $1.50. The waitress said that they haven't updated the menu to reflect new prices. Of course I paid and tipped and left but don't like this practice at all. Nor was I told of the price increase when ordering. That's why my experienced slipped to a 2. Yes it could have been better. By the way, I asked about having pool tables in an Italian restaurant and was told that some of their customers like to shoot pool in the evenings...go figure! read more

Ehhh...I have mixed feeling about this place. I had this delivered. I tried the lasagna, garlic rolls and cheesecake. The lasagna was flavorful, however, it seemed as if it had been leftovers and reheated. Parts were burnt and lasagna a bit crunchy. The container itself looked like it had taken a beating lol The garlic rolls were chewy and I could barely taste the garlic. They also seem to have been reheated so a bit tough. First of all the staff is not wearing masks that are greeting the customers cannot speak for the kitchen staff If that's a problem for you you may want to skip it. I've never been to a restaurant that sells clothing in it also and buy clothing I mean T-shirts just kind of took me by surprise. Looking for a new pizza joint yelps 4 star rating made me give Luigi's a try- and I regret it. I ordered food for pickup online with the typical 30 min window your food will be ready between 6:15-6:45 notification, I arrived at 6:20, gave my name as I would at any establishment, and was scolded with a "WE HAVE UNTIL 6:45," I tried a polite translation of "you're saying it's not ready, please have a seat?" But the staff was not having it, so rude. Having time too look around this restaurant looks like a bar with pool tables in the middle of the floor. Only three tables had customers and overall the atmosphere was weird for a "Italian restaurant." Had I planned to dine in, I would have left, but eventually I received my Togo order and departed. I wish I could tell you it was all great after that but this food is not good. I had the baked ziti which was molten lava on top of pasta with ricotta. I had no idea baked ziti could be so flavorless. Good news is the portion size is small so you aren't wasting much food but this is 100% skip. For the pizza we had the Luigi's Specialty pizza. It looked good and has a nice thin ish crust but there is nothing special about this pizza. You can not taste the sauce or any toppings, it's as if the flavor was extracted from all vegetables and placed on a pizza. I found some jalapeños in my pantry to try and give the pizza flavor but it was a wasted effort, especially considering you are paying over $20 for this pie. This was my first time here and my family and I enjoyed this place a lot. It's a nice family owned restaurant, so I was glad to actually support hard working people making good food. I saw a couple reviews on here about the owner's daughter not being the nicest but she and her dad were both EXTREMELY nice to my family and very personable. The highlight of the meal really was the Parmesan wings though, those things were a treat. I would keep going back for those wings alone. I'm not really a wing guy either but those they were tasty little bites of crispy perfection. I'm not sure if I've ever had wings that crispy before, but I definitely won't be forgetting these any time soon. They weren't cooked the typical way the Parmesan wings on the menu were cooked, they were cooked the way the back of the house makes them for themselves. If I remember correctly, they were cooked in butter and tossed in real Parmesan cheese. Just had the worst experience of my life at this stupid place! I'm out running errands, and my wife calls in an order for pick up. You told us it would be ready at 11:45 AM. That's when I show up. 20 minutes later I'm finally walking out the door. What? Did you wait before I showed up before you even started making our order? WTH? And then to make matters worse. As soon as I got home with our order, I take one slice of pizza out of the box, and all of the toppings slide right off!! The chicken marsala sauce is perfection. Great texture, great consistency! Probably one of the best I've had so far. Other locations is too watery and leaks through their containers. However, I don't know if i'm willing to spend $18 on a chicken marsala when I know i can buy it elsewhere for $12-14. The menu states they have two sizes, but the cashier told me they only have one size, large. But ti make up for the price, it really is big. Probably a serving of two people and it comes in a fancy microwaveable plastic container!!!! Which makes up for the pricing. I love that black container, I sleep with it. Lobster ravioli is so good! It is very pricey though. I think I received 5 but they added lobster and shrimp in the sauce. That sauce is out of this world! I worked a long shift today and did not want to bother cooking. I had a hunger for chicken parmigiana. So I opened up my door dash app and saw Luigi's restaurant. I normally order from Tuscany and they are perfect. I wanted to give Luigi's a go just to try other restaurants chicken parmigiana. I ordered one chicken parm and an order of garlic cheese bread. The order arrived and I opened the bag containing my food and saw that my chicken parm appeared to have been over cooked. It was burnt on the top so the presentation already failed. I looked at the container that had the cheesy garlic bread and it too appeared burned. The bread was soft in the middle and hard around the edges. To me this food was indicative of being reheated in the oven. Food was probably leftover and not fresh by any stretch of the imagination. I filed a complaint through door dash which really isn't at fault. They aren't responsible for preparing and cooking the food only delivering it and it was delivered really fast. So no complaints there. The restaurant Luigi's on the other hand was a complete fail for me and due to the fact I was extremely hungry I salvaged what I considered edible. First impressions are lasting ones and I was not impressed. So I will not be ordering from them again. I will attach the photos of the food and y'all be the judge. read more
