It's a small, pretty little shop with only three manicurists who take their time and really know their stuff (we were talking nail color one time and they were telling me all the limited edition colors from OPI and could name them and the ones they liked - right now I have this beautiful color from a discontinued OPI line that they found for me) and they take their time and do a beautiful job. It's the exact opposite of the factory nail salons that seem to be everywhere. I came because my feet were impossibly bad and I really wanted to wear sandals again and Irene managed to coax soft skin back to the bottom of my feet from the callused, cracked ones I had (it was almost as attractive as it sounds :). As well as his diligence in getting someone to help me with my waxing, when one person was already busy with someone else. I am also being specific because I think this woman is a terrible associate or waxing person. #1: She began by asking if I'd been there before (I said no) #2: she then started telling me in a nonchalant voice about my eyebrows and how unlike they were, how low one was and how bad the other was #she then proceeded to wax them after I told her what I wanted (as full as possible and well marked all around). #3: As she was waxing she was telling me (nothing else) that my eyebrows, in her own words, mixed in pretty badly to my hairline. (Ohk then?) I'd never had anyone talk about how bad my eyebrows are and nothing else. LOL. Being who I am, I was not hurt by it, but I was annoyed at how unprofessional she was and what image she was giving the salon. Granted, I would not want someone like that working my salon. After the first shot, she said ok there you go. And I looked and had to tell her to finish the middle as she rebuttled, "that's what I mean your eyebrow is in and the other is way out." I was in the twilight zone. I had to tell her. Do you know how to wax eyebrows? You align them with the tip of my eye. So this one needs to be waxed more to align and this one you can leave it alone. She continued with "oh. I'm not done, I'm just showing you what is wrong with them there." I tried and harmonize by saying. They look good on the outside that is good thank you. Yes. Can you finish the inside and I still have some hairs here in the middle too. She said no you dont. I took them off. I rebuttled." I can see them right here. Could you please take them off. " After all the mentoring I did for her and tolerance of her unprofessionalism and treatment. She proceeded to wax diagonally into the top of my last eyebrow, when she only needed to wax straight up. Leaving my eyebrow bare and now looking very different from the other one (from the inside). Jeezus. I payed her got my change and ran off, but before I ran away from there I said thank you to her and then said "thank you Sergio" as I passed by Sergio. I would never go to her again. The reason I'm writing this is so that owner takes it into consideration. Maybe it's because I'm Mexican the reason she was so comfortable to say those things? or maybe it's for an unknown reason, but even without the behavior... I ask, Does she know what she is doing? - Beware. I do not know her name. I rather not anyway but hope Sergio knows who I am referring to. I was a walk-in TODAY.
