Ventura has become my go-to for my pedicures - I love that I can book an appointment through Bookly (THOUGH: it's a crapshoot which tech you get, and I'm attached to one in particular who does a *superb* job every time. I'd like the option to to choose Sarah instead of just Tech (#)), they have several options for pedis, ranging from your basic with standard polish through their queen/king with gel, you are offered a beverage with service and I've never felt pressured by an upsell for there a different pedicure or an additional service like a mani or waxing. There is always quiet music playing so you get a relaxing atmosphere should you chose to come with friends or chill with a book, but you will hear the chatter of other patrons depending on when you visit a I've had services end of day during the week with a handful of people where it's nearly silent and also mid-day on the weekend when it's jam packed and there's a line waiting with walk-ins and the talking can be louder than the music - YMMV All in all, while I may not get manicures here any longer, this is my one & only pedicure place! read more

I love coming here for pedicures! I feel really pampered when I come. They offer a complimentary drink to enjoy. The pedicure menu has many different types of pedicures to select from offering vegan products. The atmosphere has an upscale feel to it. I love the leg and foot massage. They have a USB charger built into the chairs, which was much appreciated when my phone was dying! I really am trying to make it in once a month. I'm working on self care. As a diabetic with neuropathy pain in my feet and legs, I feel it's important to keep my toenails trimmed and massage to feet and legs to keep the circulation going. Had to go home and fix my own nails as they were squared off on my toes and we're not even and we're brittle and chunky. Just saw the reply from the spa and I got to say that if you want me to call you you're asking me to do all the work again. You have my phone number. I use it to log in when I'm at this salon. I had a very disappointing experience at this nail salon today. I came in for a pedicure and a gel manicure with extensions, and unfortunately, things started going wrong almost immediately. During the pedicure, I realized they don't include cuticle care unless you pay an extra $10. That wasn't explained clearly, and I was surprised because basic cuticle cleanup is something I expect during a pedicure. The polish color I chose also ended up looking almost completely transparent, like I hadn't had my nails done at all. For the manicure, I was moved to another station. Instead of starting with a traditional manicure by cleaning the nails, trimming the cuticles, and preparing the nail properly, they immediately began filing my natural nails with an electric drill before applying the gel. The gel ended up extremely thick. I told them several times that I didn't like how bulky my nails looked. They filed them down a bit, but they still looked puffy and uneven. I asked for a square shape, but every nail ended up looking different. My nails weren't extremely short when we started, but they filed them down so much that there was barely any shape left. I also had to change my polish color three times because they didn't have the colors I wanted. I paid nearly $70 for my manicure and another nearly $70 for my pedicure. After seeing the final result, I told them I was unhappy with my manicure. They said they couldn't reshape them the way I wanted, and I didn't want them to keep working on my nails because I had already lost confidence in the service. I requested a refund. The only way they would refund the manicure was by removing the gel they had just applied, which meant my natural nails had to go through another removal process the same day. That added another hour to my visit. They did process the refund, but I was told it would take 5-7 business days to appear. The staff was polite, but the overall service did not meet my expectations. I also noticed there was no hand massage, lotion, or finishing care after the manicure, which made the experience feel rushed and incomplete. Unfortunately, I can't post photos because the manicure was removed before I left. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this salon if you're looking for a traditional manicure with proper nail preparation and cuticle care. I left very disappointed. read more

Some of the staff members were unfriendly and unprofessional, they seemed to be rushing people out. My nails turned out alright, I asked for an ombré look but it didn't turn out like the picture I showed and had noticeable bubbles at the finish. The pedicure "massage" was not a massage, and the water was cold. Overpriced and probably not worth it. My card was declining at the end, which definitely was on their end because they were already having technical issues when I walked in, and I know there are sufficient funds available in my account. She just kept saying "decline" which felt embarrassing as they were treating me like I was the problem. I received a Ventura gift card so I googled the business just to check it out. The reviews were very polarized and that made me curious. I came with my husband, who loves foot massage. He opted for the royal treatment (more $) while I opt for the lavish treatment (mid $). From the very beginning, they had tried to upsell their package, from opening certain page of the menu to consistently asking for it. When I told the lady I only wanted regular nail polish, she made an huge effort to "persuade " me to go gel. After I told her I don't want gel because I won't be able to take it off during my up coming vacation, she still insisted. Finally I told her "fine, let's just skip the polish", that's when she finally budged. As for my husband. He complained the seat was not comfortable as he was cramped into the non-adjustable seat. So if you are taller, the non-adjustable chair might be a problem for you. BTW they did not offer the compliment beverage, we had to ask for it. Just FYI. Overall, I don't appreciate the upselling and was surprised by the poor customer service. Now I understand why there are so many negative reviews. I've been in a few times and have had good experiences, but unfortunately the last two times have not been good. I get builder gel and the last time I went in I asked for a chrome overlay, I noticed leaving the salon there were a few bubbles on my nails but didn't think much of it. A few days later there were multiple bubbles under my gel on 5 different nails that hadn't originally been there when I left. I called the salon and they had me come in and fix it, and even told me I would be reimbursed for the original cost of the manicure. I was never reimbursed and the new chrome looked patchy on my right hand compared to my original manicure on my left. I was fairly disappointed but thought I would give them another shot. I came back for a fresh manicure a few weeks later and just thought that experience was a fluke. Coming in this time I asked for builder gel and the experience was not pleasant. My nails were trimmed much shorter than I asked for, the builder gel is lopsided with one side being thicker than the other on every nail and the shape themselves were mismatched and jagged. The nail tech also cut my cuticle pretty deep to the point I started bleeding and applied a solution directly to my open wound without asking me first. An hour and a half later it is still bleeding. This manicure looks sloppy and not what I had expected. Overall I would say some nail techs do a great job, while some really miss the mark; regardless I don't think I'll be coming back given the cost of the manicures and back to back unfortunate experiences. read more

I love treating myself to nails at Ventura! It's a light airy space with friendly folks. All the techs I've had are very gentle with my wildly ticklish feet - I especially love the hot stone pedicure with steamer. Gel manis here last me for weeks. They just got new massage chairs that are really comfy. And it's such a treat to sip on a Vietnamese iced coffee while I'm pampered. read more

I Wanted to give this place a good rating because the customer service was alright but they had a girl doing my pedicure and she was very new I'm sure it was her first day and she did my acrylic on my big toes way too thick!!!! so when I got home, I had to drill down the acrylic and then I also had to repaint them and re-file them because they look like two bricks on my big toes! And it was expensive. It's really unfortunate because a while back pedicures manicures used to be a lot cheaper but they were better quality and now I just feel like they half ass everything. Unfortunately, I think Im gonna have to start learning how to do my toes at home just like I have my nails. This is very exhausting also, I wanted to add a note. There's a long drill that looks like a toothpick. Well, she decided to go under my nail bed and she did a little bit too much filing so it looks rigid, and some spots are thick and some spots are thin underneath the nail... I'm not sure what happend. so it's just uneven underneath the nail. I hate to be the person that writes reviews like this, but just because of how expensive is it it is I should be leaving satisfied and happy I was so stressed out in there. I was laughing hysterically because I just was like this has got to be a joke. I guess you can't believe the 1.3 K thousand review reviews they have and the high star ratings because that's not accurate. I decided to get the lavish pedicure mind you my sister was sitting right next to me and got the same service done. Hers was quicker she got finished her pedicure was about 20 min and I think that's because the person that she had was not new but both of our services were beyond terrible because we got a half assed pedicure, and whatever was listed in the lavish pedicure we did not get. Let's just say the massage was about one minute. The scrub was a tickle and then we didn't get the mint mask on the legs. I don't know where the fruit massage came in because that was also not included. What caught my eye about this lavish pedicure was the intense callous removal when I tell you, I still have a yellow callous on my heel there was nothing intense about this pedicure. It was a light, gentle tickle, no scrubbing whatsoever. She took a cheese grater to my to my heels, but it was one light pass, and then another light pass on my big toe. There's nothing intense. So do I still have rough feet Yes, I do still have a rough heel! Me and my sister both paid 100 dollars to be tortured when this was supposed to be a relaxing experience! What a nightmare. The sad thing is when I called to make my appointment I asked for somebody who specializes in good painting and a good acrylic job on the toes cause not everyone specializes in that and the person they put me with. She was new because the owner/manager came over and was instructing her how to do my nails properly and then the lady who's doing my sister's nails was also trying to help her do my nails so I was just very confused on what was going on. She sprinkled dust all over my Coach flip flops and didn't wink an eye when I complained . Flip flops ruined. We booked an appointment after my brother called ahead and prepaid for gift cards over the phone. When we arrived, no one greeted us for about 10 minutes. We were then told it would be another 10-minute wait, but after waiting 30 minutes of waiting, we asked about using the gift cards my brother purchased under our names. Even though my brother's payment had been accepted by them and the cards were left under our name, we were told we'd need to provide the exact date, time, and method of payment in order to use them. If that level of detail is required, it's unclear why gift cards are even offered over the phone. After nearly 40 minutes with no service and no resolution, we left. I've been coming here for a little less than a year and have always had good experiences until today. I've even recommended the place to friends. I went in to get only the gel removed off of my finger nails and specifically said I didn't want my nails cut, only filed. The woman I had then gets the nail clippers and does not place them in the right spot because the gel is still on that finger so she couldn't see. She then cuts only my skin and it immediately begins to bleed. I think after that, this whole experience should have been free. She still charges me $10 for the gel removal. This was the worst nail experience I've ever had. The nail tech was very sweet and did good at shaping my fill. However it all went wrong with the paint, gem & price. I simply asked for a French tip with 2 gems placed on my two ring fingers. I wasn't very happy with it because she put two clear coats on top of the gem which made them look like googley eyes. The sparkly paint was transparent and wasn't painted all the way on. I was going to let it go up until I went to the counter and heard the price. $98 even with a birthday discount!!! And just to clarify this was JUST a fill. I asked for the breakdown of the cost and then told me a fill was $60 starting price and with the "design" and "diamonds" was an extra $40. I was shocked and they said "oh sorry we did the math wrong." Then charged me $88. The next day I called and they said starting fill is $55. Which is still insane, but $5 less than they told me at the counter. I was so upset I had to go to a different place and have them redone. $140 later, I have regular pink nails. Worst part of my birthday. I highly do not recommend this place. They are liars and thieves. read more

I had an appointment for 1pm and I didn't leave until 3:45pm. I'm all for taking your time to make sure the nails are done right but 3 hours for a manicure and pedicure is too long. They started with my pedicure which was done in like 20 minutes but to do my gel x manicure took forever. Also they told me that French tip was an extra $10 however if you want a thin French tip it's $25 more. Initially she showed me what the $10 French would like and it was not even a French tip it was like half my nail was painted. Also they did not clean up my natural nail before applying the gel x nail so my nails are uneven. I ended up just getting a solid color since we tried cat eye but when my nails were not clean cut you could see it through the gel x tip and I ended opting to do French but then that looked bad so I was forced to get red. Once all was done it looked nice but the shape wasn't a true almond and overall the experience was not great. I do not think I'll come back for the price and quality. read more

First timer and will not be returning. My nail tech was very nice, but I could tell she was just trying to get me out of her chair. It was $108 (not including tip) for a simple set of new acrylics with a French manicure + some flowers on my ring finger. The nails are super thick and she continued to file them after painting, so the gel on the sides got filed off. There was ZERO cuticle care, so my nails look worse and worse as they grow out. I didn't ask for silver dots but they were put on there anyways. I DID ask her to paint the flowers but she used a dotting tool for them. And to finish it off, there are globs of acrylic under almost every one of my nails as well. For the price, I definitely feel ripped off... WAY too expensive and unsanitary for the quality of work, and they are not consistent!! Long read!! The first time I came here I got one of their "cheaper" pedicures with shellac which is $15 extra. I also got dipping powder on my nails. They turned out beautiful, but for the price I contemplated if it was worth coming back. The staff is somewhat friendly, but the first time I didn't know they had complimentary drinks, as I was never even offered a menu. Several months later, here we are I went last night desperately needing a pedicure she say me down and immediately turned to their $100 pedicure pages. This time she did offer me a drink menu. I opted for the $75 pedicure as I'm pregnant and wanted to treat myself. I was expecting this to be the best pedicure of my life. She started drilling and cutting away at my toenails before asking me my preference on shape. She cut them WAY too low for my liking and they are all crooked and not shaped properly. The overall pedicure was nice but she was coughing and had a runny nose the whole time which was distracting and unsanitary. This morning I woke up and my big toe is THROBBING and red on the left side. Her tools must not have been disinfected properly because I think I'm getting an infection. I've been soaking my toe in alcohol and Neosporin to prevent any further problems. Overall for $110 with $15 shellac and tip, I was expecting this to be the best pedicure of my life. My toe nails are too short, crooked, and now my big toe is aggravated. Based on both of my experiences coming here I will not be coming back. read more

Wait time for a walk-in was short, which was nice. I said I wanted acrylics and a pedicure. However, prices online were 60 for acrylics, but after they put on the nail and the gel, the manager came over and told me it would be 125. Of course, it was too late to say never mind, so I asked if a simpler design would be less. They said no, so I stuck with my design I had found on Pinterest. The quality of the nails was okay, but not as good as I was expecting for the price. The front desk lady was pretty rude and tried to refuse my card, telling me to pay with cash when I didn't want to (there was an ATM fee on top of my already too high price). I came in today to get a pedicure done and there was a wait which is fine. They sat me in a pedicure chair with cold water and ignored me for 20 minutes. When I asked the girl working next to me if someone was coming she said it was going to be another few minutes. I told her yeah I'm just gonna go somewhere else, I'm not wasting my time to be ignored and left in a nasty cold water foot bath. I came to Ventura Nails for a manicure and pedicure before I was to attend an important wedding. The manicurist seemed nice and friendly. We chatted. She did my pedicure first. I think it came out fine. When she moved on to doing my manicure, things changed. She worked extremely rapidly. She spent very little time shaping, filing, and smoothing my nails. I've never had anyone else do that part so quickly. But I gave her the benefit of the doubt, and hoped things would still turn out ok. But then came the worst part. She did a very sloppy job applying the nail polish. It was clear to me that her main goal was to go very fast, and not to do a careful job. Maybe she thinks she has great skill and can go fast, but I disagree. The second coat didn't fully cover the first coat completely - it is easy to see when light shines on my nails! And she didn't make sure to apply the polish close enough to my cuticles. And as a result, it looked like my manicure had been "growing out" for a few days even on the first day. I'd have to say that this ranks as the probably worst polish job I've ever had, which was especially upsetting because I was going to an important event. However, I had no choice but to pay and despite everything, so I smiled, paid, and tipped her over 20%. Later I was irritated when I looked at the bill and saw that they had charged me $3 extra for the (used) nail file and sponges. I had not been told that in advance. All in all, no, I do not recommend Ventura Nails. read more
