To make matters worse, I received a follow-up email claiming I now needed to pay an additional $495 for ADAS recalibration, bringing the new total to $1,045.96. My vehicle does not have windshield-mounted sensors or a front-facing camera, yet they insisted recalibration was mandatory or they wouldn't repair it. I even confirmed with my dealership. This is a classic money grab, adding hidden fees and pushing unnecessary services on customers who may not realize what their vehicle does or doesn't require. I came back today for my appt, took off work, and took an uber back home. 30 min later I get a call saying that the glass is still the wrong glass and I have to schedule again. Not only did I waste the morning for a 2nd time and have to arrange early pickup, but the employee who had confirmed my service and who was here this morning was nowhere to be found, so I didn't even receive an apology. I have used Safelite for many years prior to this experience, but after today, I will not be using them in the future.
