My daughter got the gel mani (no acrylic) for $36, so between we had about a $12-15 bump before tip (if I'm getting the prices right at the in town location, around $27 for pedi and I think $40 for combo but don't quote me!). The salon is well designed and welcoming. I was offered a drink while being seated which is always a nice touch. While I prefer to use my pedicure time to respond to emails, catch up on any news I may have missed, etc. I think it's always important for you and your tech to (at minimum) make introductions, with the tech checking in on preferred nail shape, sensitivities, etc...maybe 5 minutes max of "getting acquainted" conversation. The extent of our exchange was which pedicure I wanted and that was pretty much it. Not necessarily a bad thing all the time, but on this occasion it presented more sales/transactional vs. valued customer. I started writing my review mid service, assigning a three star experience at the beginning; however, the young lady at checkout was kind, conversational, and attentive, which encouraged the bump in stars from three to four.
