This was my first time going to Venus Nail Shop on Memorial Day, and I honestly thought I had found my new nail salon since I live in Canyon Hills. Everyone was nice, and my nails didn't come out bad, but I was very disappointed with the pricing and overall value. I went in for a fill and a gel pedicure with glitter on both my toes and nails. I asked for a soft ombré look, and while I didn't mind how he did it, I do mind being charged $15 for a "design" when all that was done was simple glitter polish halfway up my nails. No special ombré technique or tools were used -- he literally just polished halfway up the nail. What really upset me were all the extra charges. I was charged for long nails even though I only got a fill and barely needed one. I honestly don't understand how there's a long nail charge when the work is only being done near the cuticle area. To make matters worse, it has been exactly one week and one of my nails has already broken. I ended up paying $99 total for a fill and pedicure. Meanwhile, I recently paid $108 at another salon in Lake Elsinore for a full set and pedicure, and that included an actual design on all 10 nails. The pricing here honestly just did not make sense for the amount of work done. I usually tip well and really wanted to love this place, but unfortunately I will not be returning. read more

My 11-year-old granddaughter's grammar school graduation is coming up. For her graduation gift she wanted GelX, French tips with a design. The manicurist did a good job. Not sure if the tools were sanitized? I'm a licensed cosmetologist and I look for State Board standards. Many nail salons will often put back their tools in envelopes that are marked, "clean", after they finished a service, without proper sanitizing, so when you sit down, you don't truly know if it was sanitized or not. I was not expecting to spend $75 plus a $2 penalty, for using my credit card, and a $10 tip. For an 11-year-old? Crazy! I don't plan on returning. read more

I thought I had finally found my new nail girl. I had been going to Mia for builder gel for about 6 months now after moving from LA. When I first moved to the area I was driving back to LA every 3 weeks for a fill from my old nail tech that I loved! Well let's say that this past Wednesday was my last visit to this nail salon. I had requested Gel-x as my natural nails that had gel builder on them completely broke (my fault). As Mia started my Gel-x (which I used to get before gel builder) she she prepped the nails and so forth but when it came to putting them on oh my let me tell you I was on pain! She kept the light on the nail so close that it was burning to the point where i would have to pull my hand away. This was on every single nail. I kept telling her it burns. She then continued to say "you never had gel-x"? In which i replied to her that I have had Gel-x many time just not at their salon. She then said well thats how gel-x is it "burns and hurts"!! I was baffled because never in all the times i have had gel-x did it ever burn like it did or hurt! I don't think it would be so popular if it was supposed to "burn and hurt"! So she finished my nails in which I immediately hated. They looked lifted as if she put way too much gel so my nails were going up! Upon getting in my car i noticed that literally all my nails were not properly done as the front tips of my natural nails were not even touching the gel that she put the nails on with! I left because i had to pick my daughter up and called Hannah. I told her what happened and sent her a picture! She told me to go in the next day. So I go in and Mia had a huge attitude as if I'm the one that was wrong . I sit and she brings out a little bottle that she filled with gel to fill in the area that was open under the nail. I was upset to say the least because now not only are my nails flipped up but now you can see a ton of gel sticking out. I left upset! While still in their parking lot I searched up another nail salon which was literally right across the street called Envious nails and and they were able to take me right away and took the nails off and left my natural nails with gel builder. I really liked this place in the beginning and thought it was going to be my " go-to" nail salon. The staff are very pleasant. The pedicures were great but my nails were severely damaged from the acrylic application. It wasn't until I finally removed the nails that I saw multiple ridges in my natural nails aka "ring of fire" from where they would shape the nails at the cuticle. As my nails grew out and I would get fills, a new ridge was formed because they are drilling too deep.. After taking the nails off, I had to let my natural nails grow out then break at the ridges before I had a clean nail bed again. Needless to say, I haven't been back. read more

This is hands down the best nail salon in Lake Elsinore, CA. I have been coming here for over a year now and always 10/10. The owners are always very nice, polite, and attentive. Everyone who works here is also very friendly and professional. I enjoy the friendly vibe and complimentary drinks. This is also the cleanest salon I have ever been to! This was my second time coming here. Mia did my manicure the first time and today sadly it was done by the owner/boss? She could use some training on customer service. While doing my manicure she was attending to people coming in, and of course watching all the workers and instructing them on what to do. Did not look my way but once to ask me something in the lowest tone possible. I did not like how she talked to me when I asked her to please repeat herself. And how long she took with me, because of all the side stuff she was doing. How is she at the front "greeting" people? She has a horrible attitude! Van is my new go to girl. She has done my Nails a few times and each time I am more and more impressed with her and her service. I am super picky and she listens to me and actually shapes and does what I ask- she isn't irritated when I change my mind or I don't like the idea I had when I see the design on one nail. She is all about customer service and goes above and beyond with her service. - I had originally asked for the tip to be black on pointer and ring finger but I changed my mind- Van was more than accommodating and made the fix with the gem addition. This was my first time at this nail salon, and my first impression is that it's very clean and well-maintained. When you arrive, you have to log in with your phone number to create an account, which is very easy to do. This registers you for the waiting list. I went during the week Wednesday at 11 am I guess without an appointment and it was very busy, so I did have to wait for an hour. I suggest making an appointment beforehand to avoid a long wait. Despite the wait, the establishment is super clean, super nice, and everything seemed very organized. I got my nails done by Kat. She is a really nice person and did my nails quickly because I had to leave by a certain time. Even though I waited for an hour, which I understand is due to the busy time I went, she did a great job with my manicure. They do offer complimentary drinks, but unfortunately, I wasn't offered one during my visit. Kat mentioned that next time, I should mention that I didn't get my complimentary drink, and I can get one then. Overall, it was a really nice experience.
