I have had several pedicures and manicures here and I am always pleased with their work. The women are kind, speak English well, and always do a great job. I made it a habit to tip based off of how pleased I was with my mani/pedi and they picked up that I tipped more when I knew they took the time to massage my feet extra long etc. The mani/pedis are a bit on the pricy side; I spent about $45 give or take with the tip each time I went. I go to Venus Day spa for laser hair removal (Brazilian and underarms). Henry is an absolutely delight, is the consummate professional, and charges very reasonable rates. I've recommended that all of my friends go to Henry. After four visits, almost all of my hair is gone. IT'S AMAZING -- one of the best life decisions I've made. The process itself is inherently a bit awkward, but he makes me feel very much at ease and is acutely aware of potential pain levels. Five stars, hands down. read more

Not the best not the worst. Was in town for a wedding. Had reg pedi and gel mani. Pedi good. The mani a little less happy. Multiple cuticles got cut so now they are scabbed over and red. Some nails more round others square. By the time I noticed I had been there too long and was ready to leave. My daughters pedi was done pretty carelessly. It wasn't even a kid's. I paid for a classic pedi. I could do a better job. She had to fix a couple toes multiple times and it still didn't look great. I wouldn't go back if it was an option. They did have a lot of options for the gel though. read more

I have been getting laser hair removal from Henry for over a year now and i would HIGHLY recommend him! I was a little skeptical going to a male, considering I bought a group on for a brazilian laser hair removal package. He made me feel very comfortable and was very professional. I had excellent results, and worked out deals with him where I could get other areas lasered as well and pay him per session rather than up front, so it was affordable! I was unable to get any other areas done anywhere else because they required that I pay up front. Henry was accomodating with my budget and schedule. He was very good with schedule reminders and I never once felt weird when getting treatments. Definitely one of the best investments I have ever made! read more

Went to Venus Day Spa the other day to get a fill on my nails. I was sitting there and saw a new sign on EYE LASH EXTENSIONS. I have checked into it on other places but didn't like how there maintenance plan was set up and so expensive. So I talked to Katy who does the eyes lash extensions about her maintenance plan totally affordable . Needless to say I left there with beautiful lashes , they were perfect and so natural looking . I have had so many compliments on them . It's been 5 days now no problems at all . LOVE THEM ! Highly recommend them for any service. I've been going there for about 3 yrs now for my nails and eye brow waxing , so excited there doing EYE LASH EXTENSIONS now ! I've had my nails done here in the past and they were always friendly and done a great job on my nails. I walked in today and my whole experience was a complete 180 from my past experiences. The owner was sitting in a pedicure chair soaking his feet. He asked what I needed I let him know I was there for a nail repair and a color change. I just had been there last week for a fill and he was the one who did my nails. He stared at me and I repeated myself and he looked at his wife who was busy with another client. He told me she was busy and I stared at him and his wife and the other client stared at him as well. His wife told him something he got up annoyed and decided to help me. When I went to pay my total was $25. I asked him why $25 he said $5 to repair my nail and $20 for gel color change. How is the charging me to repair my nail when I just went to him last week. Their sign with prices says $15 for gel color change. I told him that and he said oh prices went up. This is the last time I go here. I'm extremely disappointed. read more

Went here on a Groupon and was fairly impressed. All 3 of us got in at the same time, it was clean and they did a great job on the nails. Only thing I would hope they would improve was massage time. We upgraded to the 10 min citrus package and all left not thinking we got the full 10 min massage. read more

This was my first time. I thought it wasn't bad...not the best but not the worst. I would have given 4 stars but the woman kept stopping and watching the movie that was playing! I didn't notice when she was giving me a pedi bc I was reading and it felt nice to just sit. But the mani was a different story. I stumbled across this place after purchasing a groupon for a nail salon close to where I live. They have great prices! 25$ for shellac and 25$ for a basic pedicure. They put plastic coverings in the pedicure foot bath, A+. Lin did an amazing job on my nails!! She takes her time and is extremely knowledgeable and wants to damage your nails as least as possible when getting shellac/fake nails. This is the best shellac I've ever had! I've been to dozens of places and they are all the same, shellac chips, peels and they don't coat enough paint and its transparent. Lin only works weekends but I would definitely ask for her! read more

I came in for a French shellac manicure. I was disappointed in my manicure - the cuticle cutting was uncomfortable and my technician was sick. She said it was allergies... My nails were the right length and she filed them down way too short for shellac. The paint was on the skin and the white tips are uneven. All of this for $30. I won't be going here again. read more

I haven't been to Venus Day Spa since I was in high school, about ten years, but I needed my brows done and a manicure this morning before head in out of town. I had forty-five minutes for both and they were more than able to accommodate that. She was very friendly and efficient. I got a manicure and shellac and I love my nails! I was so excited to see that a nail spot was in walking distance from my apartment. I went about 20 minutes after they opened. I first wanted to get a full acrylic set and pedicure. The older gentlemen who worked there told me it would be a quick wait. That's fine I was a walk in anyway. But then I noticed he started rushing with his current client's pedicure just so he can get to me. I changed my mind at that point and instead opted for a gel manicure. It was the worst manicure I have ever received. He rushed, my nails were not even file evenly, he cut my cuticle too deep in two nails, and to top it off, I got a hand massage with the cuticle oil! The gel nail polish color was advertised as the regular nail color instead. So the finished product was different than the nail sample they had. I questioned him and he and his co-worker got defensive. Despite all this, I still wanted a pedicure but he got up and told me it was $25.00. That's fine, I will take my business somewhere else where they will treat you better and actually do a decent job. read more

Katie is the best manicurist I've ever had (and I've had a lot). She takes her time to take off the old solar nail. She does it the "old time-y" way by using acetone to take the old off which makes the new powder stick better to the nail. My nails last much longer the way Katie does it. And they do not crack or peel! I am very happy with the way my nails look after Katie gets a hold of them. :-) If you want the best fill try out Venus Nail Spa. I went for a walk-in pedicure on a Friday evening, thinking they closed at 7:30. I quickly realized I was mistaken, and they actually were closing in 15 minutes (at 7pm). To my surprise, I was not treated poorly like i would have been at most other salons. Instead, Jasmine was extremely welcoming! She engaged in conversation and didn't rush the process. By the end of it, she and another associate (wish I would have gotten her name) ended up giving me a mani, pedi and eyebrow wax! Customer service will make or break a business, and I love that this salon recognizes that. I had a great experience and I will definitely be back! read more

This place is good and the ladies there are very nice. The people who complain about laser hair removal probably don't understand that every single treatment the laser is cranked up (which means MORE PAIN) otherwise it won't zap your hair follicles properly and they'd all be complaining that it didn't work. I've never been there when the employees were rude or made fun of any of the customers. They are all very sweet and friendly for the most part. I love everything about this salon. I found them through a Groupon for Laser Hair removal, and ended up using them for everything else. I left my other salon because of the service I get here. The laser hair removal is awesome. Henry is great and also helped me budget other areas of my body I wanted to remove hair. I haven't even completed my full year of payment through my Groupon and have already had two other areas of my body done with the great deal I got here. I have dark skin and didnt think laser hair removal would work for me because thats what Ideal Image told me. Bull--Henry has given me so much happiness and I am hair free in several areas because of their great prices. The waxing was so affordable that I tend to just pop in whenever I need a touch up. The ladies are always helpful and they usually can get me right in when I walk in or call. This is my one stop shop, and I couldnt be happier with their eyebrow waxing, pedicures and laser hair removal. Good prices, good people, and good experience. read more

This is the WORST SERVICE EVER!!!!! While getting a pedicure the woman working on my feet gets another woman's attention and shows her the debris after she had exfoliated my feet. They both began laughing. Then other's in the shop came over and started looking at my feet and laughing as well. I'm sure she could tell I wasn't impressed because she says "Oh, I just love the color." talking about the color of polish on my toes. I declined the manicure and left. I have never been so insulted in my life. I will not be going back there. read more

Clean but definitely not the friendliest or best mani/pedi I've ever received. Whenever I get no chip manicures they usually don't chip for 2-3 weeks but it's been a week and this no chip is already chipping. I'll be searching around for an alternative salon for my next mani/pedi. read more

I went in on a Thursday and got shellac. 3 days later all of them started lifting from my cuticle. Gave it another shot and got acrylics on that Monday. 2 out of 10 of my cuticles WEREN'T cut.. Not to mention the acrylics are super bumpy and not smooth. They trimmed the cuticle area AFTER the shellac was already on... So then she put 2 more coats of shellac on.. That didn't make any sense to me. Took about an hour and 25-30 minutes.. Not going back. Would not recommend. read more

I went here 13 days ago. I was there for nearly 4 hours which was ridiculous. That's because they only have a couple ppl who do manis. I tried the SNS first time. The gentleman owner placed tips, terrible at it, his wife did my nail dip. She was in a rush which caused her to cut into my cuticle and it bled. The finished product was HORRIBLE. My nails were misshapen and the powder was applied so thick it was beyond Ugly. In addition, the color swatch looked so different on me than on the swatch that I had to have my toe color changed to at least be in the same color family as the SNS color. The overall pedi was good I have to say, which is the only reason for 2 stars. I waited this long to write my review so that I would know just how poor this was. I had a mani/pedi today at my usual salon and it took over an hour of straight acetone soak + filing to get the crap off my fingernails. The tech was shocked at the mess. Needless to say my nails have been damaged from this experience. I would not recommend this place to my worse enemy. read more

I wasn't too sure about this place based off the reviews but it's close to work so I decided to give it a try. I was the first one there at opening so this might be a good tip to use, arrive early! I asked for a French Tip pedicure and was seated right away, I had my 9 yr old son and they allowed him to sit on a massage chair next to me, which he enjoyed very much while playing on his DS. :) I can't remember the ladies name but she was very attentive and meticulous to the care of my feet, delivered a long leg and foot massage! Asked frequently if my son and I were okay and if we needed any refreshments. Price was very good too! Only $25 for basic pedicure and an extra $5 for French Tip, well worth it! I bought a groupon for $99 which includes 6 sessions of laser hair removal. 1st & 2nd treatments were tolerable, as far pain. and I noticed I was hairless under my arms after about a week. I was happy, BUT! I go in for 3rd treatment and the zapping of the laser on my skin was unbearable. My underarms were red, blotchy & very tender. They hurt for the rest of the day & under arm skin is darker because the laser was burning my skin. Then Henry suggest a free test area on my legs. Since the other visits he keep trying to convince me to do my legs & bikini area. I declined both visits. So I kindly agreed. BIG mistake!! So he starts working on my right ankle area & the pain of the zapping is so painful, I couldn't sit still. I told him it was hurting & to please stop. His response, just a Little more, so you could really see the difference. Finally it was over, I put some aloe vera gel & bolted out of there, limping. 10 min. later when I got to work. my ankle was puffy, red, skin was irritated & I had big welts. It was tender to the touch. That was 2 weeks ago, my skin is darkened & discolored in my ankle because he was frying my skin! Please do not go there!! read more
