I've been coming to this place on and off for About a year now, after moving here to Plano. They usually do okay, but this time was my worst experience yet. I had to change my appointment from 4pm to 5pm. I arrive at 4:55 and they ask me to pick out a color. Cool. At 5:00, I sit down and wait about 10 minutes for someone to come help me. They older lady asked me what did I want (I believe she is the owner, maybe?) I told her long, coffin shape with a matte finish. Something simple. I didn't expect to pay over 50$. As the lady is starting to do my nails, she gets up a total of 5 times while working on my Nails. At one point had me sitting there for another 10 minutes. I'm annoyed because it's a SIMPLE set that shouldn't take more than an hour. At this point it's almost 6:30 and I'm STILL getting my nails done. The older lady says" you want matte right" I say yes. A younger lady comes over and takes ANOTHER 5 mins to find whatever materials she needed. I was not happy at all. I always leave a tip but I couldn't. This set cost me 60$. (Which isn't an issue) but you can see that my shape isn't even coffin, my thumb nail has streaks In it that they didn't even want to fix and the Length isn't even long. I would not recommend this place AT ALL. I'm over it. Not professional at all. read more

I hate to write negative reviews but I'm very frustrated. I took my mother, sister, daughter, and niece to get Mani/pedi's here and we actually just left. They were not enough technicians for our group, which they should have let us know prior to starting, the appointments were rushed and the gel polish is extremely old. The polish job did not coat my entire face of my nails, leaving the edges streaked or not painted, and there are particles dried in the polish. I will not go back to the Salon. read more

I had an amazing experience here. I needed a pedi, and was going to go to my normal place because I had a coupon. I have been branching out and tried Venus based on a friend's recommendation and yelp reviews. I am so glad that I came. When I walked in I was greeted by a very polite young gentleman. The selection of colors was somewhat limited, but way better than other places. The ladies who worked on my nails (I also had a polish change) were so friendly. They have complimentary drinks, and loved the fruit cups. Yum! Overall, the atmosphere is very relaxing and quiet. They seem to have a lot of regular customers and I can see why. Great location, good staff, low lighting to put you in a relaxed mood. Just remember to check your polish color outside. :p This place is very sanitary and nicely decorated. I was welcomed and helped rather quickly. They have different price points for mani-pedis. I went for the deluxe at $63. Not too bad for a mani-pedi. I loved the massage on my pedicure. The manicure massage was mediocre. My only reason for a 3* is the fact that their painting technique was not great and their polish seemed very old. It looks beautiful on the outside but the employees are unhappy, rough with customers, and clearly do not want to be there. The service was not good here. First I had two people start on my names which all they did was cut my nails all the way to the cuticle which I spefically asked her not to do. Then the guy cut my nails shorter than I asked when he asked me to show him but still somehow came out really short. The whole service took almost 2 hours and they werent busy at all but the person on my nails kept leaving and going to the back and coming back. Then when I get to the register it was 55, now I knew that the tips would be extra and so I asked what the other 5 was for. She said it was for having two different colors (not designs, just a glitter color on my two fingers in the middle) when I questioned her on why since it's not a design or anything she just shrugged it off. After I was checked out I asked again, for my future reference that they charge for two colors, she then said it was because of the take off!!! Such a disappointment! I brought my 3 sisters and my mother with me to get my daughter acrylic nails for the first time. We all had bad experiences with the technicians. They were sloppy and careless. I tried to write it off as a bad day, but when I came in to fix my daughters nails like the manager "Amy" recommended, she said they were completely booked and refused to fix my daughters nails. I told her she needed to refund my money because I would need to go somewhere else to have them fixed she refused to do that as well. Never come here. They are a factory that just tries to do as many people as possible and don't care about the quality. Classy nails is so much better and I will never come here again! read more

I've found my new regular nail spot. I had gel nails done for the first time - they look awesome! Not to mention that I'm very rough on my hands, and they've held up just fine. I had a pedicure too, and they look great as well. The nail tech was very nice - and the wine and fruit was a nice added touch. The price is a little high, but your nails last. Have to pay for quality, right? I was in and out in reasonable time - mani - pedi - eyebrow arching - I was done in a little under 2 hours. And it's down the street from my house. This is by far the best nail spa I've been to for a pedicure. Very spacious inside with nice decor creating a relaxing environment. I really like how they organized the salon so it's not cramped up like most places. Spa pedicure starts at $30 which includes an exfoliating mask that made my legs baby butt soft. Loved it! I decided to get an impromptu manicure while I was in the area. In the end, I still feel very lukewarm about the place. The place has a really relaxing and modern interior. It's quiet with soft lighting. PROS: -Relaxing environment -Does not smell of chemicals -They give you water, wine, margs and a delicious cup of fruit. -Flat screen TVs -Quiet -Modern furniture CONS: -It is $20 for a basic manicure + $5 for white tips = not worth it. But in all fairness, I initially thought $20 was a bit too much for a manicure. -The manicurist (Daisy) snipped a part of my skin while cleaning up the skin around my nails -- ouch. -She massaged WAY too hard on my arms and hands... it did NOT feel good -- ouch. -She talked way too much and asked the annoying questions (Where are you from? Do you have a boyfriend? Do you want a pedicure as well?) -From far away my nails look good, but up close you can see some mistakes up close... and this really bothers me. Why? Because in all honestly, I'm the only one looking at them. I would say my nails get a 7 out of 10. I probably won't go back again, but I was impressed with the environment. read more
