First time I went here I was seated quickly. Got basic mani/pedi with gel nails. I got knicked in my finger. Second time decided to take off gel and get regular polish and deluxe pedi. I am pretty dissatisfied with the polishing, if they're going to give me this kind of quality, I could've just polished it myself. The pedicurist incorrectly thought I wanted basic pedicure and when I corrected her that I pointed to deluxe on the menu. She was persistent with her co workers that she said I pointed at the basic which was very unprofessional on her part. I really wanted to keep coming here but I will definitely have to find somewhere else to be my regular spot. read more

I was greeted warmly and quickly sat for a polish change. However, my two nails were broken at the corner. The tech quickly used powder to make them perfect and painted them with rich white polish at my request. The powder work was phenomenal and the painting the best I've had. I ran into this nail salon by mistake because I got it mixed up with the Venice nail salon my friend had told me about. It was a definite mistake and will never make the mistake to go here ever again. The guy Mike did my shellac pedi and shellac full set. Let's start off with he does not know how to do nails properly and also must not be knowledgeable about working a drill. He put tips on my nails that were clearly too small, a bottle of glue on each nail and placed them crooked. When I told him about a mistake, all he did was laugh. He drilled my nail bad trying to take the acrylic off and drilled off part of my actual nail and it still hurts now. He even drilled too much of the acrylic off a second time. My nails are lumpy, my cuticles are literally glued underneath the layers of acrylic, shellac and clear coats he put on. On top of it all, he charged me 90 bucks! This guy needs to go and get updated on how to put nails on. I really feel like clipping each of these nails off right now because it was a huge waste of money and my time of 2 hours for this crappy nail job! read more

This place is slightly more affordable than its competitors and the wait isn't as long, which is why I tried giving them a few chances when I was in need of a simple and quick basic mani/pedi. They don't do nail designs or stay on top of trends, so if that's what you're searching for, then this place isn't it. The salon is outdated, and the techs aren't the friendliest. They spoke to each other in Vietnamese about upselling me since I just wanted a regular mani on my first visit. Not the worst thing, but nothing they would say in English if they knew I understood, so slightly rude. Other than that, first visit was fine. My second visit, I wanted a basic French mani. My tech rushed and it looked terrible. I told her how I wasn't happy and she re-did it, but it was just a waste of my time having it done again. My third and final time, I just wanted my gel removed. They left me sitting there for so long while they were tending to other clients that the acetone ate through my nails. My nails are now extremely thin, cracked and damaged when they are usually very strong. This was the final straw for me. I do not recommend this place. read more

I came to this place with friends recommendation for pedicures and full set with dip with family. They are very attentive and sweet. They did a great job and the price is as other salons. They offers us water. Don't think they had any other drinks like other salons in the area. I think they should advertise more since they are hidden and across street from Milano nails. I do like that they do not over pack in there salon as that is what Milano does. I do think they need newer colors and maybe new nail polish options to choose from. I'm happy with my pedicure from Venus Nails Palace. While I don't get pedicures often, I'll definitely keep Venus in mind for future needs! I walked in on a Thursday mid-afternoon and was helped right away. Plenty of parking available. They had a Yelp check in special where you can get a free hot stone massage (of the calves and feet) or get 10% off of your bill. The chair was very comfortable and had different massage options for your head/neck/back and even your hips/thighs, which was a new one for me. There was calming (but not snooty) classical music playing from the speakers. Two large wide-screen TVs were showing the news. I saw most of the tools appeared to come out of sealed/sterilized bags, which is good. Pricing seems pretty standard/average for the Sugar Land area, based on my online research. Some won't finish with a buff shine, others didn't do it well. Tammy did a nice job and provided a nice looking buff finish. Employee cut my finger while getting a manicure, to the point it bled. Not even an apology. I only live 5 mins but I will definitely not go back. Just went here to get a new set and pedicure. Pedicure was nice i enjoyed it. Although the lady who did my nails i'm not sure if she usually does acrylics but it was a horrible experience. I didn't get power I get shellac and she made my nails sooooo THICK and CLUMPY. I can't looking at them. Then, every time i tried to tell her something was wrong she would just ignore what i would say...until i paid i told the gentlemen who check me out i need to come tomorrow and get them fixed and the lady who did my nails acted all surprised like she didn't know something was wrong even though the whole time i tried to tell her they looked terrible. Do not waste your time and money! A couple of things..... I have been to this nail salon two times prior to this for convenience as it's in my neighborhood but this will be my last time for sure. I will drive to Simply Divine and call it a day. I got a gel manicure and it is noticeably bumpy and uneven. I will have to get them done again but not here! Upon checking out, I had 2 Venus loyalty cards with one stamp each. I asked the lady to combine them as the last time I was there, one of the nail techs said that if I found the other one, it could be combined. She said and I quote "we don't combine cards". This is not rocket science. There is ONE Venus Nails and ONE loyalty card from this establishment. It didn't come from anywhere else so how about use common sense here!!!! Got a flyer in the mail for 20% off my first visit, so I decided to try this place out. I must say I am quite pleased with the service I received. The technician definitely pampered me. I got the deluxe pedicure. Pre-promotion it is $36. (A classic pedicure is $26.) They did an excellent job removing the dead skin and took care in removing the cuticles. (At Sweetwater Nails I had bleeding cuticles that later got infected, so I am very critical and particular now). He also took time to do a very through massage. He accidentally nicked my polish when putting on my sandals, but he took care to re-polish, applying the base coat, 2 coats of polish, and a top coat. Most places I have been would just reapply a top coat. I am so happy to have finally found a great nail spa that is in my backyard. I will definitely be a regular customer. read more

Terrible customer service. Attempted to get a pedicure today. Walked in, none of the employees looked at me or welcomed me. Someone, never figured out who it was because they never looked up from what they were doing with another customer, asked me what I wanted to get and told me to pick a color when I said a pedicure. I ended up walking out without getting anything done because it just didn't feel like the service would be worth paying for in the 2 minutes I was in the building based upon my lack of interaction with the staff. I went here yesterday to get my nails done and one nail already broke for no reason! (I've gotten my nails done in other places and this has NEVER happened before, no matter what activity I'm doing) When I got to the salon I showed the technician what I wanted (long coffin shape), but it seemed like she didn't know what she was doing. I told her what to fix in more than one ovation and yet the shape still isn't proper, so I just let it go thinking that it will just be covered by the powder . Now that I'm looking at my nails and inspecting them better I can see that the powder/acrylic part isn't properly shaved down. 7 nails has certain areas thinner than other. and there a wide line/shadow that doesn't match the rest of the nail. Not impressed. Spent $50 on the herbal pedicure and it was blah. My toe nails were cut too short. I was supposed to also get my nails done, but the lady started to gather everything, sat her things down next to me, and when another customer walked in, she left me to take care of the other customer and never came back. When I told the girl that was doing my pedicure that I was not going to do my nails, they all started speaking to each other in their language, and based on their reactions I could tell it wasn't anything nice. The girl that did my pedicure didn't know what she was doing, because the lady next to her kept telling her what to do and looking over while she was doing someone else's feet. I have been going here for my pedicures but recently started getting my finger nails dipped. I have always been satisfied with my pedicure but not my dipped finger nails.
